i woke up into my shabby room once again, the same old dim lighted apartment room that the only source of light is the lamp, and the reaking smell in the other side of the room.
all of it is natural to me, I've lived here for the past few years its not common to have this kind of apartment neighbor.
i turned off the alarm clock and began moving to the bathroom.
"yawn, another day another work. now that i think about it the sound of alarm clock was usually the introduction of novels i have been reading, is this a sign?!"
im yuki 21 years old. im no perfect neither the overshadowed one. and im complete bookworm always reading fantasy novels and my favorite one the apocalypse genre!
you might be thinking why my favorite genre is apocalypse since its always repetitive, hoard stuff there and revenge there. but thats exactly what i wanted!
dont get me wrong in the revenge part
im the person who doesn't have enemies well there are some but still, its in the past and they probably forgot about it already.
also i been living on the second floor apartment for few years or so, well based on my observations this place isn't so bad at all.
theres only one thing i dont like, its the land lord. shes being salty when I miss one month's rent. i cant blame her, but while shes confronting me i can say that shes rapping.
All she needs is a beat and she could outdo Eminem.
im now brushing my teeth and then go to the shower, i felt every inch of my body being involped by a warm, soothing water.
i carefully grab the body soap and slide it on my body slow but steady.
while i was enjoying the shower, something abruptly stopped me. i heard a piercing scream outside of the apartment. i hastily suit up myself even forgetting that there are some parts on my body that still haven't thoroughly washed.
i opened the creaking door and went outside, i saw that there are some of my neighbors thats being bothered by the scream as well.
i turned my gaze into the road.
the road is covered in red bloody color, 'its not a paint, i know the color of a paint and it isn't like this" i muttered tensely to myself.
"AHHH!" i turned my head and what i saw shocked me. you probably guessed it already, it was a man biting the old pitiful man.
my neighbors let out a scream, "AHH"
and the others muttered to themselves and debating whether it was just a prank being setted in their neighborhood.
i knew very well that this isn't a prank, i stepped back and two.
my calm expression earlier cannot be seen, instead it was swapped by the terrified face.
before i can even go inside my room and lock the door, my old usually drunken neighbor spoken.
"dont panick everyone this is just a prank being setted"
all the head turned to him, there are some thats with doubts but others seemed to agreed in his statement already.
the old man speak once again, "fine, ill go.
if its just a prank you need to pay!"
the old man grinned and even without someone saying anything he rushed to the staircase.
we saw him outside, waving and grinning like he was about to get a huge sum of money.
he shouted while laughing. "this is just a prank!!"
but our attention isn't directed to him, instead it was the bloodied old man bitten earlier that's slowly coming towards him.
the old man upon seeing our gaze wasn't in him, walked to the bitten guy.
with a half drinked bottle of soju he poked the bloodiest man in the head before saying, "hey wheres the camera"
we tensed up, some of us new that this isn't a prank and that guy has the survival instincts of a fart. before we knew it the bloodied old man pounced on the man.
the soju bottle in his hands rolled over the road.
the bitten man bite the bold man.
even if were not in that situation we can tell that, that shit is painful.
the man shouted in terror, "AHH! hey what are you doing?!"
however his scream seemed to have attracted the nearby monsters as well.
we saw that the other bloodied creatures are rushing to the sound, like a veracious beasts hunting for a prey.
finally the zombies pounced at the man, we watched as he was being tear flesh by flesh.
before some cant even comprehend what was happening, i, with a survival of a chicken at the very least,
went inside my room and locked the door.
"w-what was that?!" i screamed but what came out is a raspy low voice.
the continues growls and screams pierced my very being.
i knew that the end of the world is coming but i didn't expect it to be so soon.
i calmed myself down even though i feel fear, being scared isn't gonna vanquish this terrifying creatures.
i closed all the windows and other types of where the monsters can go, its better to be safe than sorry.
finally its all done. slowly, i headed to my bedroom i even locked the door just to be sure im not gonna be eaten.
i can hear the childrens in the other room crying, and the mother desperately trying to keep her kids to be quiet.
while hearing it, all the good memories flooded my mind it was as if my mind desperately wanted to end this nightmare.
but it didn't work all of this was reality.
