Seeing someone walking toward the cage, the slave trader spoke with a grin.
He saw someone finally getting some interest in her. "Oh, young sir, looking at your young age, you must be intrigued to see such a fine piece."
Robin looked at the woman as he heard the flattery from the slave trader.
"This slave is a unique one, once a leader of a very powerful tribe, and she was offered a slave contract from a high-rank hunter, but she refused to become a slave."
The slave trader began his story, trying to pique Robin's interest. "They fought a long battle, and when she was defeated, the high-rank hunter again offered her a chance and even forced her into submission,
but she refused to give in. In the end, it enraged him, and he ended up cutting her limbs and making her life like this. But young sir, see this..."
He used a long wand in his hand to poke her large breasts, which also had cut marks on them.
"You won't find such a thing. Even with her condition, you can have fun with her."
Robin looked at her body, from her disfigured face with only one eye intact, to her chest which had many claw and sword marks.
It was as if she had been tortured before ending up here.
As a human from another world, he felt pity for her, but he knew that in this world, having a weak heart wouldn't help you survive much.
"How much Gon do you ask for?" Robin asked.
The slave trader grinned. "Only 140 Gon, young sir."
Robin shook his head. "Too much for her."
The man's smile flattened. He didn't want his only customer to walk away, so he changed the price again. "130, sir... No, 120. You can take her for 120 Gon."
Robin turned toward him. "70 Gon. I will pay only this."
The slave trader was taken aback. He knew she was a waste, but 70 was nothing.
Still, he decided to try to make a deal. "70 is too low, sir. How about 100? I can't sell her for less than that."
Robin was caught in a strange situation, as he didn't have more than 70, nor could he get 30 more at that moment.
Just then, a mocking laugh came from behind.
Raul, watching his little brother buy the defective slave, laughed with amusement. "I can't wait to see the family's reaction when they find out about this," he thought.
He then took 30 Gon from his pocket. "Here is the 30, little brother. I can't see my little brother struggle for some penny."
Robin wanted to deny him, but instead, he took it. "Thanks, big brother!" He had a grin on his face.
Raul muttered, "Fool! I'll see that grin wiped off when the family learns of this."
He easily gave the 30 Gon, then said, "I would have stayed to see more, but I have to return to spend some quality time.
I hope you'll have a good time with your slave, brother."
He turned and left, imagining how Robin would react when he will again fail to make a contract with this new slave.
Robin, on the other hand, didn't even give Raul a backward glance and handed the 100 Gon to the slave trader.
"Here, 100 Gon. Prepare the contract."
The slave trader, with a wide smile, nodded. "Yes, young sir, just in a few minutes."
He then left to get the contract, which would be evidence of him selling the slave to Robin.
Once he was gone, Robin approached the woman.
"I heard that people from other dimensions can understand our language," he asked, but the woman didn't answer or even react.
Even after seeing her lack of reaction, Robin continued. "I can't imagine what you're feeling at this moment.
But if you get one more chance to revert to your original self, to get your old self back, including your lost limbs, would you still ignore my words?"
As he expected, the woman's expression changed. She didn't speak, but her gaze was now fixed on Robin.
"You know how this world works. Neither you nor I have a say here. But together, we can at least stop others from deciding our fate."
The woman looked at Robin, trying to understand what he wanted. 'Is he different from others? In the end, his goal will be the same.'
Oblivious to her thoughts, Robin offered her a deal. "I need a slave, and as you can see, I have no one by my side."
He then looked directly into her eye. "And you must want to take revenge on those who did this to you, right?"
The woman involuntarily flinched and nodded, remembering how much she had gone through.
"I can offer you that chance, but in return, I want you to become my slave."
The woman glared at him, her anger evident. But due to the restrictions on her, she couldn't speak.
Her mind went back to the man who defeated her. His words were the same.
"I want you to serve me, become my slave." Whether it was his words or Robin's, they all sounded the same to her.
However, when Robin added to his offer, her expression changed. "I've been in a situation where no one stands by my side," he said, his tone serious.
"Three years…Just for three years, and then I'll nullify the contract and help you return to your world. As for your revenge, I will help with that too."
He was determined to have her, no matter what, and wasn't going to let her go.
He reduced the initial ten years he had thought of to just three, which meant two years in the academy and the remaining year after that.
Robin felt it would be enough to change his life, and to begin that, he had to stay in the academy. But all of it depended on the woman's decision.
Silence prevailed between them, both of them were numb to the voices of the market.
The woman didn't move her gaze from Robin's serious face. She could feel that his words were resolute.
Then she thought about her condition. 'I...I can get revenge on those bastards. I can...again feel my hands?'
She thought for a while, feeling that her already-dead life wouldn't change. But maybe the human in front of her wasn't lying.
"I... accept," Robin heard her soft but stern voice say.
Just then, the slave trader returned with the deed and handed it to Robin. "She's all yours."
