Mark's POV.
It had been a long while since I attempted getting Phoebe back. I had not given up yet but I wasn't too hopeful either.
All my plans had backfired and left me empty, all my chances of getting that woman back had been rendered futile since the first day I tried to get her back at the border.
I was at the verge of losing my life and maybe Alpha Kingston was so compassionate that he only warned and released me but I really deemed him a fool because I would never succumb to defeat. I simply had to lay low for a while to spare my life and my people.
Phoebe had to end up in such a powerful pack ruining my plans, even the so-called strong Alpha Jett was killed upon our strategy to invade the Red rose pack, we were still defeated.
I still wondered why Alpha Kingston had not fought against me yet or he probably had no idea that Alpha Jett and I were in cahoots. Well, he had made it easier for me to launch another attack which he would not be able to save Phoebe from.
