Chapter 8 - They Were Fated To Witness The Scene

The situation is grave.

Given the fact that the treasure room, used for storing overly important artifacts was in a serious mess and being the ones in the scene, for sure it would be concluded that they were the ones that had caused the mess and disturbance in the treasure room.

This could lead to them loosing their jobs and being charged to court for destroying government property.

This for sure troubled Slick, since he doesn't want to loose his job and go to jail.

No wonder he seemed troubled by the gravity of the situation. Being vindicated of the situation would be a miracle.

###

As Slick and the others are moping on the unexpected situation they had just found themselves, they failed to notice that Philip was actually trying to figure out a way to vindicate themselves from the situation.

Philip's eyes unconsciously roamed around the messed up treasure room, his normal human eyes taking in the terrible sight of the treasure room before him.

The glass shards that filled the tiled green coloured floor and the exposed artifacts that are presently not covered by transparent glass boxes.

Surprisingly, his gaze landed on the CCTV camera on the walls and ceiling.

At first, he was kinda startled until the idea finally formed in his head.

###

"Guys, I have an idea!"

Philip announced enthusiastically.

Slick's eyes landed on Philip, while giving Philip a frown and a raised eyebrow. The eyes of the others also turned to Philip.

"Hope the idea doesn't include escaping because I don't want to be a fugitive".

Slick spat out and the others nodded their heads in agreement with him.

"Yeah! Philip. Hope it's a good idea, because we are seriously deep in trouble".

Frank chirped in.

"If it's a good idea, for sure I'll be proud of you".

Derick said to everyone's hearing.

Philip sighed, after hearing their comments to the fact that he had an idea.

"Don't worry guys, it's a perfect idea and also, it's the only option we've got".

"Then just spit it out!"

Slick said impatiently, already hoping not to be caught up in this tricky situation.

"Calm down Slick, give Philip a breather". Derick spoke.

Slick scratched his head nervously. "Sorry, I'm just impatient and I really don't want to go to prison for a crime I didn't do and can't actually explain".

Derick was about to say something but Philip beat him to it.

"That wouldn't be necessary. We are not going to be blamed or accused for destruction of government property because we have something to back up our claims".

"And that....is?"

Victor, for the first time since their discussion spoke. His voice still shaken with what happened earlier but his face, calm and hard to read. For some reason, ever since the others talked about the situation they were in, he was mysteriously quiet, only to speak when Philip was about to announce his idea.

"It's simple. We would use the CCTV camera footage to vindicate ourselves from this situation".

Silence reigned as the others put to thought what Philip just said.

"I think it's a good idea".

Victor spoke quite seriously.

Derick raised his hands upwards like a teenager as sudden excitement took over. "I think it's a great idea".

"Not bad, Philip. It's a good thing you're quite a wise one".

Slick mused as he massaged his beards in a weird psycho way.

Philip scoffed in return.

"That's the basics of our training as security personnels. To be wise and always find alternatives to every problem".

Philip stated, his face serious as ever.

The others including Slick, listened attentively, nodding their heads in understanding. Not to lie, they should be a lot greatful that Philip came up with the wonderful idea that would help them out of the dangerous situation.

"Anyways, I don't really care about the basics of our training or.... whatever". Frank scoffed nonchalantly. "All I care is that we get not to be accused for all this and taken to jail for something we don't even understand".

Frank gestured at the whole interior of the whole treasure room.

"Hmph. That's a fact we need to keep in mind".

Andrew said with a smile on his face.

Silence immediately took over but it was easily broken by Victor.

"So are we going to go report to the museum managers or are we just going to stand here forever. Let's make good use of our time now that we have a backup plan, and I think it's better we don't get caught here in the treasure room. It'll be harder for them to believe our claims if we get caught in the crime scene".

"Victor's correct. Let's leave the treasure room and immediately report our seeings to the museum manager".

Philip announced and turned to head for the southern door of blue metal.

The others followed him, turning to exit the treasure room after all witnessing something they couldn't explain. They treaded carefully towards the southern door of blue metal and Philip was about to type in the password into the keypad.

Philip reached the blue metallic door in seconds but with careful strides. He immediately reached out for the keypad and was about to type in the password.

The other five behind him, namely: Slick, Derick, Victor, Andrew and Frank; seemed to be relieved that they would be getting out of the situation.

Can't really blame them for their impatience and relief. Imagine you walked into somewhere and something happens in that place with you not being part of it. For sure, the accusing fingers would be pointed at you because you were present and witnessed that something happen.

And imagine that something happening immediately labelling you as a criminal.

This was the case of the six security personnels.

They had no hand in what had happened earlier that had almost destroyed the overly important artifacts but they were present and witnessed what happened.

Let's say it's a good thing they have a backup plan.

___

"Freeze!!!"

In no matter of time, high powered machine guns were pointed at them.

Philip was half way through when he was imputing the password.

Only for the door he was opening to be opened from the outside.

Fear had filled his face as machine guns were pointed at him and he instinctively raised his hands up.

"Move back!"

That was the command that got him and those behind him moving backwards.

About six security personnels including the well known Sergeant Buster, stormed into the treasure room.

They as well took in the sight of the interior of the treasure room before their eyes. They were shocked but as well hardened about what they saw.

Seeing the important treasure room being in a serious mess and an artifact being destroyed.

Without wasting time, they once again pointed their guns at Philip and those with him.

Pointing their guns at Philip and those with him, it was as if they were dating them to move.

"Get on your knees!!"

Sergeant Buster commanded with an emotionless voice and Philip, slick, Andrew, Derick, Frank and Victor got on their knees but with their hands still raised up.

He had an expressionless look on his face after taking in the sight that was payed out before him. The sight of the treasure room being in a serious catastrophe and a shattered artifact.

He and the others from the northern side and from the western side of the treasure room had been informed about the disturbances in the treasure room and they had acted fast to check it out and only to see this laying out before them.

With an emotionless voice, he called out to another security personnel from the northern side that was currently with him, pointing his gun at Philip and those with him.

"John".

"Yes, sergeant".

"Report this incident immediately to the museum manager and get him to send more men to the crime scene. Explain to him the crime that six of our colleagues were just caught in the treasure room, destroying government property".

"Yes , sergeant".

The said security personnel from the northern side exited the treasure room through the Southern door.

"And as for the rest of you". Sergeant Buster commanded the rest, his eyes looming over the six on their knees. "Take them to the detention room while this case is reported to the police".

"Yes, sergeant!!!"

The remaining four that was with him chorused and swung into action.

However,in Sergeant Buster's mind, he already concluded that these six of his colleagues would have no way to vindicate themselves from the situation and for sure they would be charged to court for destroying government property.

Only if he knew that they had backup plan.

Two beings stood opposite each other. They were in a dimension locked away from the outside world.

They faced each other, both beings having an expressionless looks on their faces.

One was a demon with horns on his head. He seems to be the dark shadow that had orchestrated the transformation of the two stone tablets into the two souls of the Angel of war. The same dark shadow that was looming and lurking around the corners of the treasure room.

As for the other being, she was a female Angel. She was an extraordinaryly beautiful Angel with a pair of wings that glowed brightly at her back.

Her purple robes matched beautifully with the purple roses on her head.

The two beings dialogued for a while but this discussion caught my attention.

"Mistress, I come with report about the mission".

The demon said with a respectful now.

"Go ahead".

The female Angel says with a sweet angelic voice.

The demon took it as a go ahead to give his report.

"Mistress, I succeed in finally transforming the two stone tablets into the two souls of the Angel of war".

"Good! Keep watch and make sure the Angel of war gets reborn successfully".

"Yes mistress!"

The female Angel nodded.

"Before I forget, did you make sure that a group of mortals were able to witness the transformation?"

The female Angel asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes mistress!"

"Impressive".

The female Angel Sai with a nod.

"Mistress, I'll take my leave".

The demon took it as a cue to leave and announced.

The female Angel smiled beautifully and with that, the demon literally vanished.
