Soon, the car pulled up near Wexford College but not too close to the main building. Hazel had insisted the driver stop at a distance. The last thing she wanted was for students to see her stepping out of an expensive car, and bombard her with questions.
She climbed out and glanced around before walking toward the building at a steady pace.
The moment she stepped inside the campus grounds, she felt something... off.
Students were quiet, unusually quiet.
Everyone was minding their own business, whispering among themselves but definitely not talking about what had happened last night.

Walking through the hallway, she spotted Skylar. The girl's eyes widened and she rushed over with a bright smile.
"God, Hazel! I thought you weren't coming today." Skylar laughed lightly.
"Are you... okay?" Hazel asked, confused by her cheerfulness.
