••THE NEXT DAY••
Dressed in a crisp white shirt tucked neatly into a black mid length pencil skirt, her hair was pulled into a loose ponytail with a few strands falling across her face.
Hazel smiled at her reflection in the mirror and pushed her glasses up to the bridge of her nose as she picked up a piece of paper and jotted something down.
She took her bag and a fancy looking gift box as she went downstairs. She had woken up quite early today so she wouldn't cross path with Chris.
Placing the box carefully on the table, Hazel slid the piece of paper under the gift ribbon. She quietly left the apartment.

••SANGUICORP••
"Welcome miss Morgan and congratulations. I would like to introduce you to the rest of the employees. " Mr Charles said, politely and paused.
"Thank you sir..." Hazel mumbled, softly.
"This way please " He said as he walked out of his office, Hazel slowly trailed behind him.
Along the way, Hazel's heart skipped a beat when she saw him, the dangerous looking man she had dreamt about!
But what was he doing here..?
Hopefully he wouldn't recognize her right?
Hazel thought as she grew nervous.
Seeing him again, the dream came rushing back... his touch, the softness of his voice.... the warmth and comfort it had stirred in her heart. She felt her body heat up instantly.
He was with some group of men and was coming her way!
Hazel paused when she noticed Mr Charles stop and bow his head in a gesture of respect. Heart racing, she quickly lowered her gaze so he wouldn't see her face, nervously biting her bottom lip.
The moment he passed without sparing her a glance, Hazel let out a sigh of relief. Though she had kept her gaze lowered, she couldn't resist stealing a quick glance at his face.
He was indeed handsome!
She wondered if God created him on a perfect sunday morning or if he fell straight from heaven down to earth.
But he didn't even spare her a glance, could it be that he didn't recognize her?
Wait? Is he the owner of the company?
If he is then she's doomed!
Hazel snapped out of her thought when Mr Charles began walking off, she quickly ran after him.
"Everyone meet Hazel, your new secretary. She'll be part of us now" Mr Charles said, earning a round of applause from few of the employees.
"Your office is over there and you can also introduce yourself to them. I'll take my leave now" Mr Charles said and left.
Hazel glanced around and cleared her throat.
"Hi..... I'm Hazel Morgan" She said, softly.
"Nice to meet you Hazel, I'm Susan" The girl known as Susan said, excitedly.
Short curly brown hair, big brown round eyes... She look so pretty.
Hazel only gave her a small smile.
The rest of the employees faced their desks without sparing her a glance, as though she didn't exist.
"What on earth was Mr Charles thinking, employing a college girl? How irritating."
Hazel heard a girl murmured, irritation evident in her tone.
"What else, maybe the CEO gave him the permission to do it"
"She's quite pretty but what does she know? Haha, most college students these days are dumb as f*ck "
"Absolutely right, beauty without the brains"
A group of ladies and guys gossipped aloud not caring if Hazel heard them.
Ignoring them, Hazel lowered her gaze and moved towards her desk.
"Don't think much about what they said, they're only jealous. They have no idea about college students being the most smartest...." Susan kept on rambling as she trailed behind Hazel.
"And oh! Over there.... That's Camille, she's a cold hearted being and rarely speaks. Of course she's smart as f*ck, everyone calls her miss know all, she's respected and feared by everyone here! She's also the first in command here, she hates it when anyone here knows more than her— Christ! She's staring at us!" Susan whisper yelled fearfully and quickly ran back to her desk.
Hazel thanked the heavens inwardly that Susan left, she's quite the gossip and talkative type.
She felt a hard stare on her. When she lifted her head, she caught the lady whom Susan had said was named Camille, shooting daggers at her through the glass window as though she was warning her indirectly to stay her lane..
Hazel furrowed her brow, confused.
But she didn't do anything...or did she?

"Oh my God! My baby keeps surprising me, this gown is so beautiful!" Riley said happily as she held the gown, admiring its beauty.
After reading the letter in which Hazel kept
thanking her for her secret prayers and constant support, and that she finally got the job.
"From Hazel?" Chris who had just stepped out of the kitchen asked, calmly.
Riley nodded with a wide smile, holding the hem of her towel tight which was wrapped around her body. She had just finished taking her bath.
Chris hugged her from behind, burying his face on her neck as he kissed her there and squeezed one of her butt cheek.
"Let go Chris, we did it so many times last night and I feel so sore down there" Riley whined with a pout.
"I know, sorry about that but now i feel like eating you up again. Anyways I'm late for work so I'll come over when I'm free" Chris said as he released Riley.
"What about Hazel, did she quit college?" Chris asked, curiously.
"No, she stopped due to some issues but hopefully few weeks from now she'll continue. I wanna tell her that I'll be going for a business trip soon, we have a project we're working on ..." Riley retorted, coolly.
"Are you sure she can stay at home alone? " Chris asked, worriedly.
"I don't know, I don't really feel like leaving her alone but this trip is urgent, maybe if you're free you can come by and keep her company" Riley replied, softly and kissed him.
"You know Hazel is like my little sister, you will come over right?" Riley asked with a pout.
Chris laughed as he kissed her back,
"Of course I will.." He said softly, something cold and dark flickered in his eyes which disappeared instantly.
