The battle commenced in a blur of motion and adrenaline, a chaotic symphony of clashing steel and guttural war cries that tore through the air. The Galley-La warriors surged forward like an unrelenting tide, their armor glinting under the pale sun as the two forces collided with bone-jarring force.
The ground trembled beneath the thunderous stampede of boots and hooves, kicking up clouds of dust that mingled with the rising mist of breath and blood. Swords sliced through the air with deadly precision, each striking a desperate bid for survival amidst the frenzied melee.
Paulie crashed into the wall realising a low moan as blood dripped down from his face. "What's your aim for all this, Kaku!" Paulie coughed, gritting his teeth in agony.
Ha? Hahaha. Kaku laughed. "Didn't you find it strange when we came into Water 7 five years ago? Why would a Cipher Pol agent become a shipwright?" Kaku smirked. "We came here to steal the Pluton blueprints from Iceburg and after that we were told to execute him on the spot."
Paulie hoisted himself, gripping hard on the rope strapped across his waist. "That's too bad. Going through so much trouble for five years to steal the blueprint which we never had."
"What the hell did you just say? It's useless trying to stalk me here. Once Lucci deals with that white-haired pirate, we'll proceed to eliminate Iceburg."
"White-haired pirate? Isn't he the one who came to purchase a new vessel?"
"That's exactly correct."
"Shit! What the hell is he doing here?" Paulie lunged sideways, eluding an attack from Kaku. "I'll have to kill you here."
"How is a mere human like you not traumatized with this amazing power? We're 100 times stronger than you ordinary humans. So it's futile trying to resist, Paulie."
Kaku swung his leg, sending a series of Rankyaku, a flying wind blade at the shipwright's who ducked, ditching the attack. The blade cleaved through the buildings as it crashed into the floor, sending a series of smoke and flying fragments of debris.
Kaku's attack became relentless as he kept employing the utility of Rokushiki, trying to find his way to Iceburg who laid on his bed inside his office.
'What the hell is Khalifa up to? Isn't she closest to Iceburg?' Kaku wondered to himself for a second. Hmm? His eyes caught a glimpse of two figures dashing at him.
Bang! Bang!!
Jake unleashed a series of bullets, each of which was effortlessly deflected by the impenetrable hide of Kaku's towering giraffe form. "How rigid is his skin?" He puffed out a cloud of smoke, standing beside Ryuken who'd unsheathed his sword.
"It's futile. You can't defeat me." Kaku used Soru to blitz Ryuken who reacted on time, shielding himself with his sword.
"You're fast. I'll give you credit for that, square-neck." Ryuken jostled himself backwards with his sword, giving him a better distance away from the giraffe.
Paulie watched the scene unfold, he was barely able to speak out after sustaining a terrible wound from Kaku's relentless attack earlier. "You pirates don't stand a chance. Go away."
Jake extracted his cigar from his lips. "Don't die on us, Paulie. We're going to beat the hell out of this giraffe and have you guys build our pirate ship."
Paulie chuckled, glancing at the two figures. "What kind of pirates help people? I-I think this world is adapting faster than I'd thought. Let's make a deal, pirates." Paulie coughed.
"Deal? What's that?"
"If you guys promise to defeat these Cipher Pol agents of the World Government, we'll help you build your pirate ship for free."
"Really?"
"Yeah!"
"You've got yourself a deal." A wide sinister grin spread across Ryuken's face. "Let's go, Jake!"
The duo charged at Kaku in a flash, Ryuken swung his sword with an intent to kill, cleaving vertically at Kaku. "Tekkai!" The sword bounced off Kaku's skin, yet he did not flinch.
"It seems that your long nose isn't the only thing interesting." Ryu shifted into a battle stance, crouching low. His sword rested upon his shoulder, his left hand was outstretched, and one leg was extended behind him.
"We've trained our bodies such that we can turn them into "Iron carapaces" if we choose to." Kaku declared, exhibiting the Shave technique once more to blitz Jake with overwhelming speed and send him crashing through the walls of Galley-La, his elongated, angular nose leading the charge.
Kaku wrapped himself like a cube and lunged toward Ryuken who sidesteped away at the last second. "One sword-style. Mountain Slicer!!"
Ryuken delivered a powerful attack and sent Kaku crashing into the wall. The debris fell apart as Kaku emerged from the smoke, wiping the blood off his mouth. While at the same time, Jake emerged, igniting his smoke in his mouth.
"That was a very nice trip." Jake stood beside Ryuken. "Are you okay?"
"That's my line, dumbass." Ryuken let out a sigh.
The clash between the trio commenced, Galley-La turned into a war zone between pirates and CP9.
…
"Ora! Gambare! Gambare!!" Gojo kicked Lucci in his peak form sending him crashing through houses as he mimicked Sukuna's favourite line.
Lucci was being overpowered by Gojo who wasn't even trying hard. He couldn't believe he was being thrown around by a mere rookie who had just made his name in the East Blue waters.
Wait! Wasn't he just entering the Grand Line?
He hasn't shown any powers he'd used in Impel Down so how the hell am I getting overpowered by his raw strength?
How far have I fallen?
Lucci's mind raged bitterly as his life flashed before his eyes, the thought of him losing hadn't occurred at all.
How the hell am I supposed to land a hit on him with that impenetrable barrier of his in the way?
Lucci thought with a grin, he'd shown all six powers of the marine and neither of them was able to penetrate past Infinity.
"Snoozing on the battlefield? How careless of you." Gojo's voice broke Lucci out of his own thoughts with a kick.
"Tekka–" Gojo's punch sent him skating backwards with a mouthful of blood gushing out.
"Oh! My bad! I thought you were gonna say something earlier. You can go on and say it now." Gojo teased, chuckling at his own joke while his blue eyes glared directly at Lucci's soul.
Lucci felt cold shivers run down his spines as he gazed at the piercing blue eyes staring at him from above.
Shave!
"Same move once again? Mehn, you're bored to play with." Gojo clasped his hands together, his silhouette faded instantly, appearing behind Lucci who'd just emerged using Geppo to sustain himself in mid-air.
"Looking for someone?" Gojo whispered directly into his ear from behind, securing a firmer grip on Lucci's tail as he spun the leopard around before hurling him into the ground. The ground shattered due to the impact as smoke lingered through the air obstructing the vision of the duo.
Gojo dropped down, his azure-blue eyes gleaming with an almost otherworldly brilliance.. "I'll kill you right here if you don't answer my question." His voice was cold.
Lucci couldn't speak further as he coughed a mouthful of blood.
"Why did the government send you after me? What's the real reason behind my recruitment as a Warlord?"
Lucci transformed back into his human form after sustaining a lot of broken bones and ribs. "Go to hell."
"Okay."
Gojo strode forward, his feet imbued with cursed energy, which erupted violently as his foot connected with Rob Lucci's skull. The impact was catastrophic—transforming the assassin's brain into a grotesque pile of meatball-like fragments as Lucci met his brutal and definitive end.
Thud!!
Yet, another world shaking news was about to commence.
"Damn!"
Gojo silently cursed himself, casting a glance toward the sky with an utterly impassive expression.. He took a better glimpse at the surroundings realising it was utterly being destroyed by his relentless attacks.
"Galley-La, huh? I'll have to meet up with the crew." Gojo teleported in a flash, appearing at the center of the battlefield jolting Kaku, Jake and Ryuken to leap backwards in shock.
"Gojo?"
Gojo kept quiet, ignoring Ryuken mentioning his name. He tilted his head toward Kaku with a clenched fist imbued with cursed energy.
Kaku sweat dropped, retreating a few steps. "W-Where is L-Lucci?" He stammered in fear, feeling the cold aura emanating from the white-haired man.
"He's dead. I killed him." Gojo muttered, causing the tension in the atmosphere to skyrocket.
Kaku felt something was terribly wrong. In an instant, it dawned on him: he had been stealthily trailed from behind while scouting the marine vessel they had used to sail into the city of water. Whirling around, his eyes blazing with unshed tears, Kaku lunged forward with all his might, his attack halting mere inches from Gojo's Infinity.
"I'll kill you!" He snarled, his voice cracking with rage and grief.
Gojo regarded him with cold indifference. "I'll spare your life," he said flatly, "so you can take your dead comrade back to the government."
Before Kaku could respond, Gojo's fist connected with his abdomen. The impact knocked him unconscious in an instant, sending him crashing through the wall of Galley-La Headquarters and deep into the forest beyond.
