Chapter 4 - Both sides felt that the other side's cheat was too powerful

"Alex Dreyar."

"Ren Takeda."

"In the back of the mountain."

"Okay."

As soon as Alex finished speaking, he immediately walked out, heading straight towards the back of the mountain.

Ren followed him.

"Ren, you..."

"Don't worry, Kana, I'll be right back."

After giving Kana a reassuring look, Ren walked straight out.

Laxus simultaneously stared at Ren with extremely dangerous eyes.

He didn't understand why his brother would act this way after seeing this boy.

Just as he was about to follow them, Makarov called out to him,

"Laxus, you're not going anywhere. This is a matter between two men; let them resolve it themselves."

"Hmph."

Laxus had no choice but to sit at the bar and drink a soda.

He was not yet an adult, so he was not allowed to drink alcohol.

Makarov was actually feeling a bit unsettled at this moment, but he understood his grandson.

He had just seen that kid yesterday, and although they hadn't known each other long, it wasn't hard to see that he didn't have any bad intentions.

So how could two essentially good kids clash at first sight?

Could this be the legendary bond?

At Fairy Tail's back, Ren and Alex specifically found a secluded and deserted spot.

The one with short golden hair and a snake-shaped earring was Alex Dreyar.

Opposite him was Ren Takeda, with short black hair and a very sturdy build.

"How did you get here?"

"Introduce yourself before asking questions. How did you get here?"

"Alright, I woke up in this world after a nap."

"Do you think I'm an idiot just because I look big and clumsy?"

"Whether you believe it or not, I disdain lying. How did you transmigrate?"

"I took a nap, and when I woke up, I was in this world."

"You too?"

"Yes."

"Then why don't you believe me?"

"There are no two identical snowflakes in the world, and similarly, there can't be two identical ways of transmigration."

After Ren finished speaking, Alex clearly paused.

He didn't know if he was speechless or if he agreed.

"When words don't click, half a sentence is too much. Lay it out. What will you do next, and can you leave the Guild?"

"No problem, I didn't want to come anyway. You help me convince Kana; if she leaves, I'll leave."

"Impossible. Gildarts won't leave the Guild, so Kana definitely won't either. Besides, are you sure Kana would be better off after leaving the Guild?"

"Not sure, but with you around, I definitely won't feel at ease."

"Why?"

"Hmph, hmph."

Ren snorted twice.

Alex also understood a little and then exclaimed,

"Bastard, how old are you, and how old is Kana? You shameless pervert, you deserve to be shot eight times!"

Ren's old face flushed.

"It's your twisted thinking, okay? We're just childhood friends who grew up together, okay?"

"Is that so? Then can I pursue Kana when I grow up?"

"Bastard, that's exactly what I'm worried about. Die! Earth God's Howl!"

A black magic circle instantly formed in front of Ren.

A pitch-black beam of light, accompanied by many Earth fragments, rapidly flew towards Alex.

Alex's reaction was not at all inferior.

His body gradually turned into specks of light and disappeared.

Seeing this, Ren's vigilance instantly reached its peak.

This feeling…

A voice instantly rang in Ren's ear,

"Speed is weight. Have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?"

Alex's right foot was raised high, a magic circle appeared, and he instantly kicked towards Ren's head.

With a bang, Ren was kicked flying, raising clouds of smoke.

Alex, having landed a blow, showed no joy but instead looked at his right foot with dissatisfaction.

So painful, it seemed to be broken.

What's going on? How could it be so hard?

The smoke dispersed, and Ren's figure appeared, but the side of his face that had been kicked was now shimmering.

Alex frowned deeply.

"Diamond Fruit?"

"Wrong. It's Earth God's Indestructible Vajra Armor. Diamond is just adamant, and adamant is just a type of Earth. But you, are you the Glint-Glint Fruit or Kizaru's character template?"

Alex's Kizaru-like fighting style filled Ren with apprehension.

He couldn't help but recall novels he had read before, where systems would give out the Glint-Glint Fruit or Kizaru's template as a starter pack.

Damn this guy, where did he learn Earth God Slaying Magic?

Did it come from some kind of novice gift package from a system?

Then, the two glared at each other again.

The first look was: why do you have a system?

The second look was: why don't I have a system?

Alex flew into the sky.

"Let's see how long your Vajra Armor can last."

Dozens of small, golden-yellow magic circles instantly appeared in the sky.

"Eight-Shaku Curved Jewel."

"Earth God's Indestructible Vajra Armor."

Instantly, dense yellow light bullets swept across the ground.

Ren's entire body also turned into the appearance of adamant.

"You bastard, are you even a man? If you have the guts, fight me with real swords and spears!"

"Foolish. The more enraged the enemy, the more it proves the correctness of my decision. Die, Eight-Shaku Curved Jewel!"

Then, the yellow light bullets increased once again.

Ten minutes later, Alex was panting heavily, his magic power almost completely depleted.

But under such an attack, that guy should have been annihilated, right?

"Die! Earth God's Howl!"

Alex immediately fell to the ground, dodging the sudden attack.

After the attack, Alex stood up, his face full of disbelief.

"How can you still have so much magic power? It's impossible, you can't have that much more than me, and my attacks can't be that weak."

Alex looked at Ren, who was almost completely unharmed, and his mental state was about to collapse.

They were both transmigrators. How could he be so weak?

"Crunch, crunch."

Two crisp sounds came.

Ren was seen continuously gnawing on something, and with a gulp, he swallowed it.

Black magic power surged on his body.

"Eat it, and power surges forth."

Alex: …

"Bastard, I forgot about that! You shameless guy, using invincibility and Musou hacks! If you have the guts, don't eat, and let's have a real fight!"

Ren: Those words sound so familiar.

"Hmph, hmph. The more enraged the enemy, the more it proves the correctness of my decision."

Alex: Those words also sound so familiar. Wait, why did he say 'also'?

"You win this time. See you next time."

"Hmph, hmph, you won't think I'll let the tiger… Oh my, how can you still turn into light?"

I said my magic power was almost gone, and that 'almost' was, of course, for escaping — Alex.

Seeing Alex truly leave, Ren also sat down on the ground, exhausted.

As is well known, some hacks only work during battle; once the battle ends, they stop working.

"How did he have so much magic power? Non-stop skill release for ten minutes, and he doesn't look much older than me. Luckily, there are a lot of rocks nearby, so I could eat and endure. Otherwise, I really couldn't beat him."

"But it's still unreasonable. High mana, fast speed, and no skill cooldowns. My goodness, isn't this getting nerfed? Compared to him, I'm like a caveman."
