Chapter 31 - The Prophecy Child

Tiffany: She sat with Multhi on a snowy hill, watching him play in the snow. She laughed as he formed little shapes in the frost, clapping his hands together in delight. "He is truly precious."

Serayne: She wrapped her body around them in a wide circle, shielding the two children from the biting cold. "It is quite interesting to watch the prophecy child play."

Tiffany: Her head shot up as she looked at Serayne, surprise flashing across her face. "Prophecy child? What do you mean?"

Serayne: She lowered her head, Multhi grabbing onto her snout to steady himself. Her voice softened, ancient and heavy with memory. "Long, long ago, it was foretold that a child would be born of two elements, forming the first love-born element of ice. The prophecy says this child would be a stabilizer. Where worlds crack, he would quiet them. Where timelines tear, his presence would bind them. Ice, born of love, would not freeze life… it would protect it."

Tiffany: She looked down at him. "He is of great importance..." Multhi slipped from Serayne's side, tumbling gently into the snow and immediately balling some of it up in his hands with a delighted laugh.

Serayne: She nodded slowly. "Yes. The prince is of great importance and purpose, but that also means he will have enemies in his life. With his existence, he will be forever in danger." Her gaze followed Multhi as he played, thoughtful and heavy. "He is progressing in life quickly."

Tiffany: She pulled him close to her chest, brushing snow from his hair. "It isn't fair. He shouldn't have to live in fear his entire life."

Serayne: She straightened slightly, her expression shifting at those words. Her voice remained calm, but firm. "Who is to say that he will be afraid? Who are we to speak on his emotions or what he will face in his life?" She lowered her head again, softer now. "He could grow to be a powerful and just leader."

Multhi giggled, reaching up to grab Tiffany's sleeve, his fingers cold but gentle. "It is not for us to decide what he will make of himself. All we can do is guide him, protect him when we can, and stand beside him when we cannot."

Tiffany: "I just worry greatly for him, I do not want him to get hurt." She stared down at her baby brother.

Serayne: "Fear is a natural feeling, fear exists within every single one of us, but fear should not control us, it should not eat at us and force our emotions to turn into negativity." She lay her head down in the snow, her eyes watching Multhi closely, "Do you believe the great Golden Warrior feels fear?"

Tiffany: She looked over at Serayne, "Star? Of course not!"

Serayne: "Then, my child, you would be wrong, even the greatest of warriors feel fear, but the best part of what makes them warriors is their ability to overcome that fear or any negative emotion for that matter. Little Multhi is no different. One day, he will become the prince he was born to be, and he will stand for greatness."

Tiffany: She fell quiet, watching Multhi scoop up another handful of snow, his laughter cutting softly through the wind. Her grip loosened just a little as she breathed out. "I suppose… I never thought about it that way."

Serayne: She shifted her wings, letting snow slide from her scales like falling petals. "Fear is not weakness. It is a signal. It reminds us what we cherish and what we wish to protect." Her gaze softened as Multhi stumbled and caught himself, unbothered. "What matters is what one chooses to do after feeling it."

Multhi: He toddled back toward Tiffany, holding out a lopsided snowball with a proud squeal, as if offering her a treasure.

Tiffany: She laughed despite herself, kneeling to accept it. "You're going to be trouble someday, aren't you?"

Serayne: A low, rumbling chuckle echoed from her chest. "Yes. But the kind of trouble that reshapes the world."

Tiffany: She looked up at the dragon, resolve slowly replacing worry in her eyes. "Then I'll learn to be strong too. Strong enough to walk beside him, no matter what comes."

Serayne: She dipped her head in approval. "That choice alone already sets the future in motion."

Above them, the sky shimmered faintly, as if listening. Snow continued to fall, gentle and quiet, while the prophecy breathed on in the laughter of a child who did not yet know the weight of destiny.
