Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Elegance, never out of date!

As dusk approached, the distant jungle faintly echoed with the roars of Zombies.

Su Lin also gave up on the idea of having Aelita continue to collect monster materials for him.

Today's Dungeon harvest was considerable; besides a few diamond ores, there was also a large amount of iron.

Obsidian had also been brought back, and the second layer of the MC Dungeon, the Nether, could be opened at any time.

However, Su Lin did not plan to go himself.

The Nether was fraught with danger, and before he transmigrated, he was just an ordinary person who had played MC, not a ten-talented warrior, so expecting him to become one immediately after transmigration was unrealistic.

At the very least, he needed to find a few reliable bodyguards through Aelita first.

It was still the same saying: if you can't lead a team, you'll work yourself to death!

Especially since it was uncertain if he could revive after dying in the MC Dungeon, and he didn't have a Totem of Undying, he would never venture alone, even if it killed him.

Returning to the village with Aelita, Su Lin planned to stay in the village tomorrow to ponder the legendary biological electricity.

If he could figure out some villager technology, he would be rich.

"Remember the basic crafting table I gave you?"

Leading Aelita towards the largest, and arguably the most luxurious, wooden two-story house in the village, Su Lin pointed to the village's only farmland.

"If you're hungry, go harvest the crops in the farmland. Plant the seeds you collect, and feel free to use bone meal if you wish."

"And the cows, sheep, and pigs in the fence... By the way, can the Elf Race of your Aetheram Continent eat meat?"

Aelita retracted her probing gaze and looked at Su Lin with annoyance.

"I always feel like you're thinking something very rude... Why can't the Elf Race eat meat?"

"Just asking."

It seemed the Elf Race of the Aetheram Continent were not vegetarians, which was reasonable.

The Elf Race here were born from the fruits of the Ancient Elven Tree; strictly speaking, Aelita eating an apple would easily give her prion disease.

"So, Su Lin, are you the Village Chief of this village?"

Aelita curiously glanced at Su Lin's house; it was indeed the largest in the village, and the only building that didn't look like a matchbox.

"No."

Su Lin shook his head frankly.

"Strictly speaking, I am also an outsider to this village."

Not only an outsider, but a robber too!

Did she really think this somewhat aesthetically pleasing two-story house was built by him?

Since transmigrating, Su Lin had not slept in the open, relying entirely on the generous hospitality of his villager brothers.

When playing games before, he either dug a three-by-one hole, or... a small door enclosed the world, and the world was his home.

"You're not the Village Chief, then you..."

Aelita stammered, pointing at Su Lin, watching as he skillfully went to other villagers' houses to loot them.

After a thorough plunder, he left content.

Aelita still tactfully corrected Su Lin's criminal behavior.

"Su Lin... robbery is wrong."

"It's fine."

Su Lin waved his hand.

"Remember, in this MC Dungeon, currently, apart from you and me, any life you see is something without subjective thought or intelligence."

"Including villagers?"

"If you insist on believing that you and those block people are intelligent beings of the same kind, while I don't understand, I will still respect your opinion."

Aelita couldn't accept it, but after observing the villagers carefully, it was indeed as Su Lin said... they didn't seem to have brains at all.

This MC Dungeon was truly magical and absurd.

However, Aelita increasingly felt that the MC Dungeon would make her an Elf Race hero, a lifeline to save the Elven Kingdom.

"Instead of dwelling on these..."

Su Lin pointed to the moon gradually rising in the east.

"It's getting dark. If you're not returning to the Aetheram Continent, you might as well think about where to stay tonight."

Seeing Aelita looking somewhat bewildered, Su Lin thought for a moment and then said:

"Of course, I don't mind taking you in for a night; my house is quite large. However... in exchange, you have to teach me magic."

Su Lin was very eager to learn magic; in fact, being a mage was the profession he most desired.

The Aetheram Continent had many professional systems: warriors, mages, priests, rogues, summoners, archers... Logically, with Steve's physique, once Su Lin became a warrior, he could instantly awaken to the advanced profession of Crusader Knight.

But... elegance, never out of style!

He hadn't learned combat skills since childhood; with an iron sword, he could at most do a sweeping strike, and with an axe, only a powerful cleave.

Crude! Too crude!

Rather than being a tank, Su Lin preferred to be an elegant mage, hiding in the back and dealing damage sneakily.

Being afraid of death is not a crime!

He still had to live to build the MC Dungeon into the Aetheram Continent's number one Dungeon.

Learning magic was the first decision Su Lin made, loyal to his ancestors, after learning that the Aetheram Continent had a mage system.

It was just... Aelita didn't know where her thoughts had gone; after Su Lin spoke, she had been blushing, her clothes almost crushed in her hands.

"Hey! I said..."

Su Lin called out, and Aelita instantly looked up, blushing and shaking her twin tails.

"No, no! Absolutely not!"

"You reckless fool! How rude! Even if you... even if you are captivated by This Queen's beauty..."

"But we've only just met today; do you take This Queen for some easily deceived foolish woman?"

Aelita became more and more agitated, completely oblivious to Su Lin's increasingly strange and somewhat sympathetic gaze.

This woman... is she sick?

He really didn't understand the mental state of the Elf Race natives of this world!

"Even if you threaten This Queen with the resources of the MC Dungeon, refusing to guide the Elven Kingdom to join the MC Dungeon if I don't 'H' with you!"

"Even, if you use the terrifying night monster waves of the MC Dungeon to scare This Queen, demanding that This Queen submit to you and let you do strange things..."

As she spoke, Aelita awkwardly rubbed her hands.

"Even so, This Queen will not submit! Bring out whatever tricks you have!"

"Bang!"

The merciless sound of a door closing pulled Aelita's thoughts back.

After a long while, in the bleak night wind, Aelita timidly knocked on the door.

"Um... Su Lin? Are you still looking for a roommate?"

"No! I'm afraid you'll infect me with your illness."

"What nonsense are you spouting! As an Elf Race, This Queen never gets sick!"

"Mental illness is innate."

Aelita was stunned for a moment, then flew into a rage.

A dazzling green glow brewed at the tip of her staff.

"You hateful fellow! Are you provoking This Queen! Shine! Breath of Nature..."

"A reminder, after the sun sets, various monsters will be born in the darkness of the MC Dungeon. If you only have that so-called 'Breath of Nature' magic that makes one suffocate..."

"Listen to me, dig a pit and bury yourself... If I were you, I'd go find a place to stay for the night right now."

These words made Aelita tremble, and she nervously clutched her staff, looking around.

The roars of Zombies were already faintly audible in the distance, and the villagers, who had been everywhere just moments ago, had all disappeared into the village.

Aelita indignantly pointed her staff at Su Lin's front door.

"Cold-hearted fellow!"

She huffed, and recalling Su Lin's instructions, she went into the matchbox house next to Su Lin's.

"Villagers are all low-level life forms without intelligence... In that case..."

"Bang!"

Aelita kicked open the matchbox door, gazing haughtily at the villager standing foolishly in the room, staring at her.

"You! Low-level, unintelligent native of the MC Dungeon! I, Aellita Evihisita, inform you in the name of the Elven Kingdom's most outstanding royal selection throughout history, that from now on, your house is requisitioned by This Queen!"

"For the glory of the Elf Race!"

"..."

Aelita's declaration was met only with the usual "Hmm ↓".

Coupled with the villager's tilted head and foolish expression, Aelita felt her Queenly dignity shatter.

"Rude native! Are you provoking This Queen!"

Aelita angrily raised her staff, the humiliations of the entire day flashing through her mind.

The villager's blocky face seemed to have Su Lin's photo plastered on it.

"Let me show you This Queen's true power!"

"Shine! Breath of Nature!"

A wooden thorn accurately pierced the villager's arm.

This magic was significantly enhanced under Steve's characteristics, but it still fell within the range where its insult was far greater than its attack power.

However, it was enough for the villager.

The villager, with a long thorn in his arm, was scared. After pacing around the room for a moment, he rushed out and disappeared into the night.

Aelita proudly puffed out her chest.

"Now you've seen This Queen's might, haven't you!"

She smugly glanced back at the two-story house not far away, then strode into the matchbox house, claiming it as her own.

Carefully, she took out the bone meal she had secretly collected today, and then some gunpowder and redstone dust.

These were all drops from the mob grinder.

She had worked so hard as Su Lin's laborer; she deserved some wages, didn't she?

The redstone dust's use was not yet apparent, but Aelita knew about gunpowder; the Armed Empire Doragon was very adept at using it.

However, this was not important to her; today... or rather, in her opinion, the biggest gain in the entire MC Dungeon was the bone meal.

This was something that could change the fate of the Elven Kingdom.

If bone meal could truly be effective on the Ancient Elven Tree... with the Elf Race's inherently powerful strength, if their population exploded, within fifty years, the Elven Kingdom could completely counterattack the Armed Empire Doragon!

Even if it didn't work, as she said, she could still use bone meal to grow the trees of the Verdan Eternal Forest to the sky!

"Bone meal..."

Aelita excitedly took it out and put it away again and again.

"When This Queen brings the bone meal back to the Kingdom, I will absolutely become the undisputed hero of the Elven Kingdom!"

Just thinking of the future scene where the Elf Race would cheer "Long live Queen Aelita!" made Aelita excitedly roll around.

However, her peripheral vision caught sight of a massive, shadowy figure standing at the doorway.

A monster?

Aelita was somewhat curious, picked up her staff, and went outside.

A blocky giant, square and covered in metallic luster, stood silently at the door.

Its pair of scarlet, beady eyes stared unblinkingly at her.

It wasn't a monster she had seen today, but... this direct gaze made Aelita feel offended.

"Rude, low-level, unintelligent native! Do you also wish to challenge This Queen's authority!"

Aelita angrily pointed at the Iron Golem.

Only silence responded to her.

"Rude!"

Aelita raised her staff high.

"Creatures of the MC Dungeon! This Queen is fed up with your disdain for This Queen! You mere unintelligent creatures! Who allowed you to look down on This Queen like this!"

"Shine! Breath of Nature!"

Another wooden thorn condensed from the staff and pierced the Iron Golem's body.

The Iron Golem finally moved, its eyes glowing brightly with red light, aiming at Aelita, and striding forward.

"Wait!"

The clever Aelita noticed a blind spot.

"Don't come any closer! This Queen doesn't just have this one spell!"

"Stop! Damn it... Bloom! Nature..."

"Bang!"

As the Iron Golem's arms swung upward, Aelita's sharp scream echoed through the silent night.

"Su Lin! Help!!!"
