Chapter 3 - Gacha Part one.

(Kazuma's POV)

Ahahahah, it seems I have gotten the upper hand against the pickachu, I stood up from the floor and dusted my clothes.

When this group chat appeared right in front of me I thought Aqua was playing a prank on me or Elis was giving me a way to feel confident about myself after getting killed by that stupid snow samurai but I never thought I would meet characters from the animus in my world in real life.

...well the boy with brown hair and black eyes wearing a green hoodie and a heart-shaped chain while wielding a knife is from a popular game which I have played...actually this 'Chara' doesn't even behave like the real one, this one looks chill as fuck.

I was cut off from my daydreaming when I felt a sudden gaze on me. When I turned, I realised it was the slightly obsessed and lesbian magical girl. "Do you know anything about my world?"

Haha, she's asking if I know anything about her world, which I actually do, but why should I give her that information for free when I can make her pay for it hehe hehe.

But if I were to think of it, wouldn't I be scamming a high-schooler who can use both magic and guns...well, sharing some information among friends is not bad. "Yep, your world on the surface is quite normal but ominous things called witches exist and the beings who get rid of them are called magical girls who exchange their souls to an alien for a single wish but those magical girls sold their souls which is the problem so if they succumb to grief or despair they become witches, for example, the Nutcracker Witch, Gremhield Gretchen and Walpurginsnacht which are all world ending witches. "

I could see Homura's eyes furrow. She hesitated for a moment before she spoke to me. "I don't know how you know this... but who is the Nutcracker witch?"

Firstly I am not stupid and if I tell her who the nutcracker is with, she might succumb to despair and, I could have also mentioned Homulili but I felt that was a bit too cruel and didn't even try to speak about it. "Don't really know, but I think she was cast off the show."

"...oh, so we are a work of fiction in your world, am I correct?" She asked, her brows still furrowed in confusion.

I shrugged. "Well, sort of don't think you are fake or something. Have you ever heard of parallel dimensions or alternate universes?"

"I have." She replied quite blandly, Huh, well as expected of the long-gone girl.

"Oh, that makes things easier, think of a coin being thrown thrown in your world, the coin landed on the ground, and if someone threw a coin at that same time in my universe, it would hit somebody, you see your universe might be different from the one I watched as a work of fiction so don't think you all are not real, think of it like this, bits and pieces of your universes entered into mine in the forms of stories and idea's and they tell your storys albeit incorrect most of the time..."

"...I do understand that, but can't you explain it a bit better? Yours sounded dumb," Misaka said, giving me a scrutinising look. You know, the one my victims give to me anytime I use my steal skill.

Speaking of Steal I feel like using that skill on this overenergetic mouse but she did have a point and I will respect her not because I am afraid of her but because she has a coop nickname called Railgun. "A universe can have a counterpart, and that counterpart will be much more different, and also, other universes exist considering our situation..."

I then heard something and a screen appeared in front of me.

[Members of the group chat have introduced themselves, and you have all received a random Gacha ticket.]

....

(Charas POV.)

This group has RNG, it seems.

The group members were somewhat getting along through Itadori, and I didn't ask Kazuma that many questions Regarding his knowledge, it would seem he was talking about something called Anime from what I have read from Chara's memories if I ignored the suicidal thoughts of him jumping into a hole to end himself.

I could ask him about my current world, but I like surprises, so I will explore and learn about the world myself. I cleared my throat and spoke to them. "Let's stop asking existential crisis questions and actually reason why we are here, so...as I said this chat groups name is Megalomaniacs multiverse chat, so every one of us has an obsession at getting stronger, either for someone or either because everyone around you has skill issues and you can't tolerate it so as the Admin i say we open out Gacha...by the way I'm not starting first."

Itadori nodded. "Yeah... I don't think my luck is that great."

Misaka's arms dropped. "Luck doesn't exist."

Homura's arms were crossed, and she remained silent. Clearly, she wasn't lucky, so everyone turned to Kazuma. I asked a simple question. "Are you lucky?"

Kazuma froze like a frog before a snake, everyone's eyes drilled into him. He tried to laugh it off, rubbing his neck. "Well, uh… luck is actually my highest stat. So yeah, I guess I'm pretty damn lucky."

Misaka shot him a side-eye. "Stats? What are you, some kind of RPG character?"

He didn't even hesitate. "Yes."

The way he said it so flat made me snicker inside. Out of everyone here, this guy had the most pathetic aura, yet somehow he was the most honest about it.

Itadori leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand. "Then doesn't that mean you should go first? Luck should help you in RNG."

Kazuma threw his hands in the air. "Do you think RNG cares? With my life, luck means I won't die instantly, but I'll still get dragged into something awful! Watch me pull cabbage seeds or—worse—something embarrassing!"

I spun my knife between my fingers and gave him a lazy grin. "Cabbage seeds can grow into a forest of blades. Socks can strangle a man. You underestimate usefulness, Kazuma. But since you've already admitted your luck stat is the highest… you're first. Majority rules."

His shoulders slumped like I'd just announced his execution. "Oi, oi, oi! This isn't a democracy—wait, it actually is, isn't it? Damn it, why me?!"

Homura finally spoke, her tone cutting through his whining. "Because you're the only one here who even claims to have luck. Do it."

Before he could argue, the system decided for him.

[Gacha Ticket Activated: Satou Kazuma]

The roulette appeared, spinning fast, its light reflecting in everyone's eyes. Kazuma's whining turned into muttering prayers. The wheel slowed down… click, click, click… and stopped.

[Congratulations! You have obtained: Persona:Wild Card(Origin:The Persona series.]

[Description: The ability to summon and wield multiple Personas, manifestations of one's inner self, by forming bonds with others and facing adversities. Users of the Wild Card are granted the Velvet Room as their personal domain, allowing fusion, strengthening, and evolution of Personas. Potential is theoretically limitless, depending on the user's growth and connections.]

I watched Kazuma blink. Once. Twice. His jaw nearly dropped.

"…H-Hey. Did that just say Persona: Wild Card?" he muttered, voice barely audible, like the world might collapse if he spoke any louder.

Homura's eyes widened slightly. Misaka tilted her head, curiosity clearly written across her face. "What's the wild card?"

Kazuma clutched his head, pacing a little. "What's a Wild Card, she says! Damn it… If Aqua were here, she'd already be asking to summon a Persona shaped like a giant cabaret hostess. Do you guys not realise what I just pulled?! This… this is broken! Cheat-level!"

Itadori raised an eyebrow. "Sounds strong. Care to explain?"

Kazuma inhaled sharply, voice trembling with excitement. "Alright… imagine this: you have magic, skills, gods even. Now imagine pulling out an army of spirits, monsters, mythological beings that cover every weakness, exploit every strength, turn every fight in your favour. That's the Wild Card. You make bonds with people, and boom—they turn into power. I just… I just won the jackpot!"

Misaka frowned. "That sounds… unfair."

Kazuma pointed at her, practically vibrating with energy. "Exactly! Unfair is my middle name! I was supposed to get cabbage seeds or maybe underwear, but no—fate actually smiled on me! Aqua, are you seeing this? You useless goddess, I'M FINALLY THE PROTAGONIST!"

I stayed silent, watching him, part of me fascinated by how absurdly alive he looked—like someone who had just discovered an impossible cheat code in real life. The way his energy radiated… I could practically feel it infecting the air around him.

I feel like breaking his spirits by telling him I have an even more OP ability than that and also a knife that can infinitely get stronger every 100 souls she devours.
