Chapter 138: New World Prologue
G5 Base Port
The morning light shone through layers of mist onto the steel-forged harbor, and a Marine warship, bathed in golden light, slowly approached the shore.
The flag of justice on the deck fluttered in the breeze.
Enel stood at the bow, a confident smile on his face. "Hey, are they all here?"
Rows of G5 soldiers had already gathered in the port, their eyes fixed on the familiar figures on the ship.
Rogge stood at the front of the harbor, his Admiral cloak fluttering in the morning breeze, his face stern. "Thank you for your hard work."
The side of the ship dropped, and the heavy metal ladder thudded to the ground.
Smoker and Luo, one on each side, slowly walked down the deck, holding Buggy, who was wrapped in bandages.
Buggy's wrists were handcuffed with thick seastone handcuffs, his steps were unsteady, his face was pale, but his eyes were still filled with resentment and anger.
He raised his head fiercely and stared at Rogge on the steps. "Don't be so complacent! Do you think you can rest easy just by arresting me?"
Rogge walked up slowly and looked down at him condescendingly, his eyes as if he was looking at a stray dog that was unable to struggle.
"The only Pirates not cleared out during the East Blue cleanup... they were pretty well hidden, Joker."
Buggy gritted his teeth, veins popping out of his forehead. "Rogge! You don't understand the rules of this ocean!"
Rogge sneered: "You are still useful, don't be in such a hurry to die."
He waved his hand lightly, and two Marine soldiers immediately picked up Buggy and dragged him away.
Buggy struggled and turned around and yelled, "Rogge! Who do you think you are?! You're just from the World Government...!"
Before he could finish his words, Smoker sealed his mouth with chains made of smoke: "Enough."
The soldiers in the distance burst into cheers, and shouts of "Justice!" resounded throughout the port.
Leiter stepped forward, flexed his wrist, and grinned, "Boss, this clown... is it really worth taking him back personally?"
Rogge stood with his hands behind his back, his eyes deep: "He and red-haired Shanks have a complicated relationship."
Before he finished speaking, the atmosphere at the port stagnated and everyone's expression became solemn.
"Hmm, interesting."
Shiryu exhaled a puff of cigar smoke, his eyes sharp as a knife, "It seems that this game is becoming more and more interesting."
Enel crossed his arms and looked sideways toward the training ground. "Come to think of it, it seems like there's a new, incredible guy."
Rhett chuckled, revealing his white teeth: "Bullet? That guy is now our 'special training sparring partner'."
"I have to say, the strength is unquestionable."
Shiryu narrowed her eyes, as if she was already replaying the battle scene with Bullet in her mind.
Rogge didn't respond, but turned around calmly: "Let's go, meeting."
G5 Base Conference Room
The atmosphere in the conference room was solemn, and the final battle results of the Battle of Beehive Island were projected onto the polished round conference table.
Zephyr, dressed in a neat Marine Vice Admiral uniform, sat on Rogge's right hand side, his eyes sparkling.
He took off his sunglasses, revealing his iron-hard eyes, and his breath was steady and powerful.
"My asthma has healed."
He slammed his fist on the heavy conference table, shaking the teacup slightly. "I want to join the next battle!"
Ain and Binz exchanged a glance, then quickly stood up and advised, "Teacher Zephyr, you've just recovered, you should rest first..."
Zephyr laughed and waved his hands, rolling up his sleeves. His sturdy arms were flexed with muscles. "I'm still very strong. You little kids, don't look down on me!"
Rogge looked at him, his lips slightly raised: "Okay."
He paused before he finished speaking: "But you have to wait a moment."
Zephyr raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What's the suspense again?"
Rogge smiled faintly: "I have to prepare a 'good thing' for you."
Everyone looked at each other in confusion, but from Rogge's eyes, everyone knew that the "good stuff" was probably not simple.
"Ion." Rogge called softly.
Ion immediately stepped forward and said, "Master Rogge, Dr. Vegapunk's supplies have arrived at the port."
"Garp Seraph is accompanying them, and the Magnetic Fruit has been delivered safely."
The conference room suddenly became quiet.
Shiryu's cigar rested at the corner of his mouth, and Luo's fingers unconsciously stroked the hilt of the knife.
Zephyr frowned and said in a deep voice, "Garp's... Seraph?"
When they arrived at the port, they saw a tall figure wearing a Marine cloak standing with his back to the ship.
That familiar dog-head hat, that upright standing posture——
The figure turned, revealing a face identical to Garp's in his youth, data streams flickering in his golden pupils.
"SSG-Garp type, standby." The mechanical voice was cold.
Zephyr clenched his fist unconsciously.
Outside the meeting room·Under the sunset
In the yard, Leah was still excitedly fiddling with the mini magnetic experiment devices that had just been delivered, with a smile brighter than the sunset on her face.
In the distance, Rhett and Bullet were fighting shirtless. The dull thud of muscles colliding and the rumbling of the earth trembling intertwined into the most authentic battle song of this steel fortress.
After everyone dispersed, the small holographic projection on the tactical sand table slowly rotated, reflecting a large area of crisscrossing sea charts and the crimson "Absolute Justice" logo.
Rogge sat in a black leather command chair, tapping the table with one hand in a clear rhythm.
He slowly picked up the special pure black Den Den Mushi.
Den Den Mushi is completely black, without any Marine logo, and its contact with Kakuzu is sharp and converged.
Rogge pressed the communication contact, and the Den Den Mushi quickly opened its blood-red eyes and transformed into a cold face wearing a pure white mask.
The voice seemed to have calmed down under intense pressure, low and cautious: "Rogge Admiral, what are your instructions?"
Rogge's eyes flashed coldly. "After the Summit War, Marco died there—his Phoenix Fruit, so we should have a clue now, right?"
The Den Den Mushi's mask trembled slightly, and after a noticeable silence, it responded, "Yes... We've recently dispatched personnel to investigate the relevant waters, and have discovered a special energy reaction..."
Rogge sneered, a cold arc on his lips: "Tell the Five Elders that I want this fruit."
As soon as these words came out, Den Den Mushi's eyes suddenly narrowed, and its tone was filled with unprecedented panic and fear: "Rogge Admiral! The Phoenix Fruit is a special ability listed as an S-level strategic material by the World Government."
"The Five Elders have personally ordered that the Holy Land must be allocated first—I'm afraid..."
Rogge seemed to see through the other party's hypocritical refusal: "I have information that they will definitely be interested in."
Den Den Mushi was silent for a few seconds, as if calculating the pros and cons.
"Are you... sure?"
Rogge slowly leaned back in his chair, his cape casting a flowing shadow over the entire seat. His tone was calm, yet it carried an undeniable dominance: "Just convey it."
"...Understood, Your Excellency Admiral."
The communication was interrupted. Rogge stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, overlooking the entire steel-cast G5 fortress.
The sea breeze was howling in the distance, and the solemn battle flags were fluttering in the wind.
Half an hour later——
The Den Den Mushi rang again, and almost the moment the first ring came, Rogge answered the call.
Den Den Mushi's expression became more respectful than ever, even with a hint of flattery: "Admiral Rogge... The Five Elders have been informed of your request, and they... have made an exception and agreed."
Rogge raised the corner of his mouth slightly, his eyes deep: "Oh?"
"but..."
CP0's voice dropped again. "They require...the intelligence you provide must be of sufficient value."
Rogge put his hands behind his back and turned to face the world map on the holographic projection.
He said calmly, "Tell them that there might be some unexpected gains at the Revolutionary Army headquarters—Bardigo."
Den Den Mushi froze for a moment, its masked face almost twisted. "Wha...what?! Rogge Admiral, are you sure?!"
Rogge exhaled coldly: "Go check it yourself and send the fruit over as soon as possible."
CP0 immediately responded: "Yes! The Phoenix Fruit will be delivered to G5 as soon as possible!"
As soon as the words were spoken, the communication was cut off.
In front of the French window, Rogge stood with his hands behind his back. The wind blew in from the window, lifting the golden lining of his Admiral cloak.
His gaze pierced through the layers of iron curtains and thick dark clouds, as if he had already seen the scene of future war.
At the boundless junction of sea and sky, a silver warship cuts through the waves.
The huge "World Government" logo on the hull is particularly eye-catching, and in the deepest part of the cabin, a crystal clear amber fruit is quietly placed in the sealing device.
The soul fire of Phoenix Qingyan finally brought about the beginning of a war that was about to spread across the entire ocean.
The fighting power is sufficient and the time has come.
——Rhett, Enel, Shiryu, Aramaki, Bullet... The top combat forces of G5 have been assembled.
——Garp Seraph, Magnetic Fruit, Phoenix Fruit... The World Government's technology and resources are being used for their own benefit.
——The intelligence from the Revolutionary Army headquarters has been released, and the Five Elders' attention has been successfully diverted.
——Red-haired Shanks's movements were also expected.
Everything is ready, Rogge's mouth curled up slightly, and a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.
——The curtain of the New World is finally about to be opened.
