Chapter 1 - 1: The System.

Konoha Year 25, 9:30 PM.

The sun had long set, yet the silhouettes of the Hokage Rock remained visible against the dark sky. Though the streets were quiet, the warmth of the earlier festivities still lingered in the air. Peace hung over the village like a gentle veil, with the cool night breeze carrying a faint sense of calm.

Uchiha Hayashi walked alone through the streets, his footsteps light, his figure draped in the distinctive high-collared trench coat of the Uchiha clan. His gaze seemed lost in thought, as if weighed down by matters only he could understand.

It had been five years since Hayashi found himself in this world—the world of Naruto.

When he first arrived, fate had already dealt him cruel blows. His father was long gone, and his mother had passed not long after giving birth to him, leaving him to grow up as an orphan. Alone, abandoned, and stripped of family, Hayashi quickly realized just how harsh this world was.

The shinobi world was not kind. Wars had scarred it deeply, and life here was cheap. Strong shinobi rose and fell like the turning of seasons, while the weak were ground into dust. To survive without the so-called "plot armor" of the true protagonists—Naruto and Sasuke—seemed almost impossible.

At first, Hayashi had hoped to live quietly. He thought of learning ninjutsu, spending his days with food and sake, perhaps enjoying the fleeting joys of life. But reality gave him no such chance. Because he carried the name Uchiha.

The weight of that name was enough to crush dreams. And when Hayashi realized his father was none other than Uchiha Kagami, a disciple of the Second Hokage and peer to the Third, the burden grew heavier still. Kagami had died at the young age of twenty-five, just before Hayashi's birth.

Even worse, Kagami's legacy tied into another name—Uchiha Shisui. By all logic, Shisui couldn't have been Kagami's direct son, but if Kagami had only one child, Hayashi, then the implication was… disturbing.

Could Shisui actually be his son?

The thought made Hayashi's head spin. A son he hadn't raised, who in the manga would be remembered as an orphan, fated to die young… just as Kagami had, and just as Hayashi himself might.

A cursed lineage of short lives. Three generations destined for early graves.

No, he couldn't accept that. He refused to become another casualty of fate.

Since childhood, he had trained his body relentlessly. Taijutsu drills, shuriken practice, hand seals until his fingers cramped—he pushed himself daily. He refused to remain a salted fish, drifting without purpose. Even a salted fish had to struggle and flip itself over.

Thankfully, Kagami had left behind a considerable inheritance earned through S-rank missions. Along with Konoha's monthly orphan allowance, Hayashi lived in modest comfort. Unlike Naruto, he never had to starve or suffer without essentials. He had money, safety, and a home—though a small, run-down one after the clan repossessed his father's estate. Still, it was clean, and it was his.

But what truly set him apart was the system.

When he was four, the system had appeared for the first time as he successfully drew out his chakra. Since then, it had remained frustratingly silent, showing no guidance or rewards. Only later did he learn that by training diligently, he could earn Ninja Points.

Running laps, practicing taijutsu, studying scrolls—every effort earned him points. Though their purpose remained unclear, he knew the answer would eventually reveal itself.

And tonight, it finally did.

[ Host's points have reached 2000. Panel will be activated. ]

Hayashi froze, heart pounding. He quickened his pace, slipping into his secluded home and locking the door. His excitement bubbled over as he rushed to his small bed.

"System," he whispered urgently, staring at the air before him, "what are Ninja Points for? Tell me quickly, I've been waiting for this!"

Before his eyes, a glowing interface appeared, visible only to him.

The explanation concluded with comparisons—how each level related to taijutsu mastery, from helpless civilians to legends of unimaginable strength.

Hayashi stared at the glowing words, a fire sparking in his chest.

For the first time since arriving in this world, he felt that maybe—just maybe—he could control his own fate.
