Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: Fury

Yu's figure cut through the night sky like lightning, sonic booms erupting behind him in succession. His heart pounded violently as the worst possibilities flashed through his mind—

Why had Itachi attacked his shadow clone? Would he harm Fugaku's family? Were there other accomplices? Could his adoptive father hold on until he returned?

'Damn it! Why tonight of all nights? The other ROOT members his shadow clones had been tracking had shown no movement these past days.'

Yu gritted his teeth as magnetic field power surged wildly through his body. His skin continuously cracked and healed while fine electrical currents danced around him. He had never hated his insufficient speed more than now.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The overloaded magnetic field power shattered every tree along his path, wood fragments scattering like torrential rain.

Yu's eyes blazed crimson, only one thought consuming his mind:

Faster! Even faster! He had to be faster!!

Every passing second felt like torture by a thousand cuts. He wished he could tear through space itself and instantly return to Konoha.

When Yu burst into the Uchiha compound, the heavy stench of blood immediately flooded his nostrils.

His heart plummeted.

The deeper he went, the more pungent the bloody smell became. Though he sensed another unfamiliar but powerful chakra signature, he had no time to spare—charging straight toward Fugaku's house.

The familiar residence gradually came into view as Yu prayed frantically in his heart: "Please... please let nothing have happened..." He swore to himself that after this, he would force them to leave even if it meant defying his adoptive father's wishes.

But when he rushed into the courtyard, deathly silence shrouded everything.

His keen senses had already provided the answer as he approached, but he still refused to believe it, stubbornly clinging to that last shred of hope.

With trembling hands, he pushed open the living room door.

Fugaku and Mikoto lay quietly on the floor, large bloodstains having soaked through their clothing and pooled into dark red puddles on the ground.

He could no longer sense their heartbeats or breathing.

Every piece of evidence told Yu the truth.

They were dead. The two people he cared about most in this world had left forever.

Buzz!

The world instantly lost all sound.

Blood tears uncontrollably slid from his eyes as his Sharingan spun madly like blooming crimson roses, finally crystallizing into magnificent Mangekyo patterns.

In that instant, the magnetic field energy within Yu went berserk like a burst dam.

Unprecedented agony swept through his entire body, every nerve burning. Regret, rage, despair—these surging emotions became towering waves, raging wildly through his mental landscape.

Fragments of the past continuously flashed through his mind:

Fugaku's stern but caring guidance echoed in his ears

Mikoto's gentle smile as she served food appeared before his eyes

Sasuko's innocent, radiant laughter kept shattering

These memory fragments were like sharp glass shards, cutting his soul to ribbons.

The power within began climbing uncontrollably:

120,000... 130,000... 140,000...

His bones creaked under the unbearable load while spider-web bloodlines appeared across his skin. But Yu could no longer feel physical pain—bodily torment couldn't compare to even one ten-thousandth of his spiritual agony.

150,000... 200,000... 250,000...

As if some invisible shackle had been brutally shattered, his power's ascension accelerated. The surrounding air began distorting, walls developed massive cracks, and the roof swayed precariously.

When his strength finally stabilized at 300,000 magnetic field rotations, the entire room was unrecognizable.

Yu slowly opened his eyes, blue lightning dancing in his pupils.

The power increase brought Yu no joy whatsoever. He desperately unleashed maximum magnetic field power, electricity wildly leaping around him as he forcibly tried to heal their wounds.

Come back to life!

But no matter how hard he tried, those tightly closed eyes would never open again.

"Yu, you're too late."

Uchiha Itachi's cold voice emerged from the shadows. He had been observing from the darkness, waiting for Yu to exhaust his chakra—this adoptive brother who had just awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan required careful handling.

"It's you."

Yu kept his head lowered, his voice barely audible. There was no expected explosive rage, only eerie calm.

When he raised his head again, that face which had always been lazy and casual was now twisted like a demon's. The crimson Mangekyo spun ominously in the darkness as overwhelming killing intent crystallized in the air.

Fugaku and Mikoto showed no signs of struggle throughout their bodies, with only knife wounds at their necks. The only person who could make them choose to give up resistance and bare their throats was...

"Itachi..."

That simple syllable squeezed through his clenched teeth, carrying bone-chilling coldness. The entire room's temperature seemed to plummet as even the air froze.

"Daddy... Mommy..."

A childish voice suddenly came from the doorway. Sasuko stood there rubbing her sleepy eyes, awakened by the violent tremors and now staring in terror at the horrific scene inside.

Sasuko's trembling voice stabbed into Yu's heart like a blade.

BANG!

In a flash, Yu explosively kicked Itachi over a hundred meters away. The next second he had instantly appeared beside Sasuko, gently knocking her unconscious with a precise chop.

"I'm sorry..." Yu carefully caught Sasuko's small form, the warmth from his fingertips making his fury burn even more fiercely. His Mangekyo Sharingan grew increasingly crimson, as if blood might drip from it.

Yu summoned a shadow clone to take Sasuko to safety and guard her.

Then his towering rage could no longer be suppressed, terrifying chakra waves erupting around him. The ground cracked inch by inch under magnetic field power while the entire residence shook violently.

On the other side, with his excellent perception, Itachi had preemptively used a Susanoo arm to block the attack, but the tremendous force still shattered that supposedly indestructible chakra limb instantly. He wrapped his entire body in orange Susanoo skeletal framework, his form shooting through 7-8 buildings like a cannonball before barely managing to stop.

Yu approached step by step, each stride covering over ten meters.

Overwhelming pressure pressed forward like a death god seeking souls.

"Yu, how do you possess such power? Is this a Mangekyo ability?" Itachi clutched his chest, blood trickling from his mouth. That single blow had broken several ribs.

Yu didn't answer. Dead men needed no explanations.

WOOSHH—

A simple, direct punch thundered out, the violent wind pressure reducing every building in its path to rubble.

Susanoo!

At the critical moment, orange chakra enveloped Itachi's entire body as a massive orange giant rose from the ground, the Yata Mirror in its hands positioned defensively, attempting to block this world-shaking strike. This was Itachi's strongest defensive measure—the ultimate technique Susanoo, said to be usable only by Mangekyo Sharingan wielders.

Crack crack... BANG!

Fissures spread rapidly. Unable to withstand even a single second, Susanoo shattered completely as if the terrifying giant had been nothing more than an orange plastic bag wrapped around Itachi. The supposedly absolute defense crumbled before this power.

However, the brief moment Susanoo provided allowed Itachi to adjust his position, narrowly avoiding the direct hit—though the punch's wind pressure still grazed his cheek, tearing away chunks of flesh.

"The Uchiha clan has certainly produced another remarkable individual."

Space suddenly twisted and warped as a mysterious man in a black cloak with red clouds and a swirled mask appeared from nowhere, only his shuriken-shaped Mangekyo Sharingan visible.

"Your accomplice?" Yu's gaze turned icy, his killing intent intensifying. He had sensed this unfamiliar chakra signature earlier.

"No, no, no," the masked man waved repeatedly, his tone casual. "We're merely temporary partners."

"Then you die too!"

Before the words finished, Yu's figure vanished. A vicious whip kick swept toward where Itachi stood, but struck only air—Itachi's form had mysteriously disappeared.

"How impatient, Yu-kun."

Space twisted again as the masked man appeared dozens of meters away, carrying the injured Itachi.

"A space-type ocular jutsu?" Yu narrowed his eyes as magnetic field power began surging wildly around him.

"Unfortunately, I can't let you kill Itachi here today." The masked man spoke with feigned regret, a hint of mockery flashing in his single visible eye.
