Chapter 145 - 《DXD: Transfer Student》Chapter 145: They're All My Women—Pretty Wild, Huh?

Finally, a break. Draconis found himself outside the Nakano residence, teleportation magic landing him right at the curb.

Perfect timing—the quintuplets' car should be arriving any minute. He didn't have to wait long; within five minutes, a sleek black limo rolled up. The door swung open, and out stepped the five sisters, identical down to the last detail.

"Hey! It's Draconis!" Yotsuba was the first to spot him, her face lighting up as she pointed.

The others turned at her call. Ichika, Nino, and Miku all flashed smiles of surprise and relief.

"Where've you been all week? You completely vanished…" Itsuki strode over, curiosity written all over her face.

"Ran into some trouble. Got held up," Draconis replied.

"Seriously, you didn't even answer your phone…" Itsuki huffed, a little pouty. "We were worried sick."

Draconis raised an eyebrow. "Worried about me?"

"…Of course," Itsuki blurted, then caught herself, cheeks tinged pink. "Don't get the wrong idea! We're just… concerned, as friends!"

"Got it. Thanks for worrying." Draconis nodded, his response calm, almost flat.

But the quintuplets were used to his style. No one took offense.

"Let's head inside," Ichika suggested, smiling.

They rode the elevator up together. Once home, Ichika nudged Draconis playfully. "You've been busy lately, huh? Don't tell me you were off flirting with girls?"

She grinned, bumping his shoulder.

Draconis gave a wry smile. "Not a chance. Just had a psychotic fallen angel trying to wipe out the city—angels and devils at each other's throats. I went to throw hands, that's all."

The room went dead silent. Five jaws dropped.

"Wait—what?!" Yotsuba practically shrieked.

"D-destroy the city?" Ichika stammered.

They'd expected some ordinary excuse, not an apocalypse-level event.

Draconis shrugged. That one sword swing of his had leveled a dozen mountain peaks outside the city—everyone had heard the commotion. But then, all three supernatural factions had worked overtime, rewriting reality so no one remembered the battle at all.

Now, every major group knew Draconis's name. He'd gone toe-to-toe with a ten-winged fallen angel and won—using nothing but his own strength.

As for the quintuplets, ordinary humans, they'd been swept up in a wave of magic, left with no memory of the chaos. To them, those mountains had never existed.

Learning the truth, the sisters broke out in a cold sweat.

"This world… is actually that scary?" Miku whispered.

"We walked through hell's gates and didn't even know it?" Ichika muttered.

Draconis, unfazed, reassured them. "Relax. You've got me. If things ever get out of hand, I'll be there to get you out."

"Ugh, how are we supposed to relax?" Nino groaned. "You shouldn't even tell us stuff like this! Now we're just going to worry ourselves sick."

"…You asked," Draconis replied, deadpan.

Everyone: "…"

Did he have to be so brutally honest?

Seeing their anxious faces, Draconis cleared his throat. "Alright, my bad. Don't worry. Stuff like that shouldn't happen again—this was a one-off."

He offered a few more reassurances, and the sisters finally managed to calm down.

Draconis changed the subject. "It's been almost a week since I last saw you. How's school going?"

"With your magic, we can't forget anything you taught us, even if we tried," Itsuki joked.

Draconis's face stayed neutral. "So, the stuff you learned this week…"

"…," the five sisters fell silent.

He sighed. "Midterms are coming up, right? Should be soon."

Ichika grimaced. "Monday."

Draconis nodded. Friday night already. That left, at best, one day to cram.

"No time to waste. Tonight, we catch up—five days' worth of lessons." Draconis's tone was calm, but the quintuplets groaned in unison.

This weekend was going to be hell.

They circled the living room table, Draconis breaking down the recent material as simply as possible. Still, the sisters' heads spun.

Thankfully, his reality-altering magic handled most of the heavy lifting—instantly locking the knowledge into their memories. Only math, with its endless logic, proved stubborn.

Honestly, without memory magic, Draconis had no idea how he'd get them through this.

"Alright, if you're stuck, ask me anything."

He'd barely finished when Miku quietly raised her hand.

"Miku? Go ahead."

"What kind of girls do you like, Draconis?"

Draconis: "…" Everyone else: "…??"

"How is that related to studying?" Nino shot back, ever the skeptic.

"If I know, I can focus better!" Miku answered, completely serious.

Draconis couldn't help but laugh. "That's… surprisingly logical."

Ichika and Yotsuba chimed in, grinning and raising their hands. "We're curious too!"

Draconis tilted his head, thinking of all the adorable girls who crossed his path—Rias, Asia, Akeno, Koneko, Mai…

So many amazing traits.

"Gentle, beautiful, understanding. Cute but mature. Good at cooking, too."

He rattled off the list, leaving the sisters dizzy.

"Does anyone like that even exist?!" Nino complained.

Draconis arched an eyebrow. "Sure do."

And they're all my women. Pretty wild, huh?

He didn't notice Miku deep in thought, her expression unusually serious.

Gentle, beautiful, understanding, mature… She was confident she could do all that.

But… good at cooking?

That one was a total mystery.
