Sunlight crept across Draconis's face, warm and gentle, coaxing him awake. He blinked, lifted a hand to shield his eyes, and squinted at his watch—already eight-thirty.
Late for school. Again.
He muttered the thought, but made no move to get up. Late was late. He'd earned it.
His right arm brushed something soft and impossibly smooth. Turning, he found Rias beside him, still asleep, her breathing slow and even.
That's right—she'd healed him last night. Healing required skin-to-skin contact, which always made for a... memorable experience. Every time, it tested his willpower in ways no battle ever could.
Honestly, being a devil wasn't half bad.
Too bad he'd been so exhausted he'd passed out immediately—wasting a perfect chance to savor Rias's closeness. What a waste.
He smiled, then shifted closer, wrapping his arms around her, enjoying the feel of her silky skin. After yesterday's breakthrough, he deserved a little reward.
Since getting intimate with Rias, he'd stopped fighting his desires. She didn't mind—if anything, she welcomed it.
The bed shifted again.
But Rias was still, her body pressed against his. So who—
A soft, sleepy murmur drifted over, and suddenly a pair of delicate arms slipped around his waist from behind.
That sensation—bare skin, unmistakable.
Wait. Besides Rias, who else—
He twisted around, confusion giving way to shock.
"Asia...?"
She was there, curled up behind him, just as bare as Rias.
What the hell happened last night?
Draconis tried to piece it together. He vaguely remembered another voice, someone else nearby while Rias healed him...
Before he could sort it out, Rias stirred, eyes fluttering open. She caught him staring—and noticed exactly where his hand had wandered.
"Heh. Not so innocent this morning, are you?"
She didn't push him away. Instead, concern softened her tone: "Any lingering pain? Still feeling off anywhere?"
He felt fantastic. If anything, the only discomfort was a certain 207th bone aching for attention...
Calmly, he slid Rias's thighs around the offending spot, finally letting out a satisfied breath.
"Good as new. Full recovery."
Rias blinked at the heat radiating off him, then grinned, her legs shifting playfully, making his eyelid twitch. Her smile turned sly.
"You're such a troublemaker."
Draconis shot her a lazy, half-lidded look. "Didn't you say you had no experience in this sort of thing, Rias?"
She pressed closer, her skin warming against his. "Instinct, I guess. Some things you just pick up."
Their bodies trembled in sync, a shared shiver running between them. Eyes met, laughter flickered.
"Looks like we'll need fresh sheets," Rias said, blinking.
"No problem. Got plenty." Draconis was perfectly composed.
He reached down, gently clasping Asia's hand at his waist. "Asia, why are you here too?"
Rias laughed. "Why not ask her yourself?"
He turned, meeting Asia's crimson face.
"Asia?" he prompted.
"I want to! It's unfair if it's just you and the President!" Asia blurted, cheeks burning.
Draconis was speechless.
Their earlier play had clearly woken Asia, but she'd kept quiet, face flushed, unwilling to interrupt. Her shy, envious expression only made Rias look more pleased with herself. Rias propped herself up on one elbow, smiling like she'd won a prize.
"After I finished healing you last night, she insisted on staying."
"That's because you just curled up next to Draconis..." Asia pouted, then sighed. "But I guess it's normal. The President is so beautiful and kind. Of course Draconis likes you..."
She glanced down at herself, then at Rias, and sighed again, even more forlorn.
"See what you've done to our little Asia?" Rias teased, shooting Draconis a mock glare.
Draconis felt innocent. Had he done anything?
Was Asia really sure she liked him? Sure, he'd saved her yesterday, but did that mean she'd just end up here, tangled up with them?
"Asia, you're way too easy to marry off," he said, half-joking, half-serious.
"I am not! Draconis is really charming!" Asia protested, voice rising.
Draconis snorted, glancing at Rias. "Is it my face causing all this trouble?"
"Absolutely. You're my cutest servant." Rias winked, but her gaze was pure affection—a lover's, not a master's. She leaned in and kissed him, leaving Asia momentarily stunned.
"P-President! That's so unfair!"
As soon as Rias let go, Asia pounced, lips meeting his before he could protest.
Draconis surrendered. What a life.
It was nearly ten by the time Draconis, Rias, and Asia arrived at school via the teleportation circle.
No one would punish them for being late—Rias just had to say a word to the student council, and teachers wouldn't dare ask questions.
In the club room, after Rias had sorted out the tardiness, Draconis suddenly groaned, "Ah, I forgot—there's an exam today..."
Rias shrugged, helpless. "Can't be helped. We had enemies to fight yesterday."
"Ara ara, only you three missed the exam~" Akeno sang, offering them tea with a mischievous smile.
Rias waved off the exam, then seemed to remember something. "Speaking of tests, Draconis, your strength's hit mid-class devil, but you still need to pass the promotion exam to make it official."
Draconis raised an eyebrow. "Promotion exam?"
