Chapter 7 - The Difference

In front of those Double Pupils, these creatures had almost no secrets.

Shi Yi's gaze focused on the few people who were concentrating on practicing Divine Techniques.

A disciple of the Shi clan had a solemn expression. Brilliant light appeared in his hands. Symbols containing the power of the Great Dao emerged from his fingers and palms, combining in a peculiar structure. In an instant, a Crescent Moon rose slowly, casting down a holy glow, and a powerful aura spread out.

The next moment, he waved his hands, controlling the holy Crescent Moon to fly towards a boulder that was as tall as two adults.

Boom!

After a deafening explosion, the boulder shattered into pieces, and debris flew everywhere.

The surrounding disciples were already accustomed to this, and only a few of them exclaimed in admiration. Relatively speaking, the disciple who released the Crescent Moon was quite outstanding, with a deep understanding of this Divine Technique.

However, Shi Yi, separated by a thick wall, shook his head slightly.

Although it was the first time he had seen this kind of Divine Technique, he could still see the flaws in this disciple's execution at a glance. Not only were there some minor imperfections in the runes, but the construction and combination methods also had significant problems.

Shi Yi pondered for a moment, activating his Double Pupils. Inside, chaotic energy swirled, and runes intertwined, evolving within. In just a few breaths, a basic level Divine Technique took shape within the Double Pupils.

Then, Shi Yi reached out, the essence within his body flowing. Symbols rapidly formed, then shot out, combining and arranging themselves in the void. In an instant, a nearly perfect Crescent Moon appeared, thin as paper, yet with a terrifying aura.

With a flick of Shi Yi's finger, the Crescent Moon, wreathed in holy light, shot forth, silently passing through a stone pillar.

"Chirp!"

After a barely audible sound, the upper part of the stone pillar tilted. With a "Boom," it crashed to the ground, and a smooth cut was clearly visible on the remaining half.

In such a short time, Shi Yi had mastered a Divine Technique, which was far superior to the Crescent Moon that the disciple had practiced for more than ten days. This was the terrifying aspect of the Double Pupils.

It could help Shi Yi deduce the Great Dao and Divine Techniques. Even if a Divine Technique was incomplete, the Double Pupils could, to a certain extent, perfect it.

Soon, Shi Yi turned his attention to another disciple. His ten fingers were like ten fiery snakes, constantly spewing flames that gathered in the void, transforming into a majestic and lifelike Fire Dragon. The moment it appeared, the temperature of the entire courtyard began to climb.

This disciple was clearly more skilled than the one who had used the Crescent Moon. The Fire Dragon was like a real creature, its momentum like a rainbow, its power immense.

"Good!"

A disciple shouted in praise.

Shi Yi, separated by a wall, calmly watched everything. In his eyes, this Fire Dragon was full of flaws.

Even though that King Wu's Manor disciple's cultivation was far superior to his, Shi Yi could easily defeat him if they were to compete with Divine Techniques.

He shook his head.

King Wu's Manor was a powerful, king-level force. The disciples within weren't lacking in talent. However, compared to Shi Yi, a naturally born saint, an ancient god, there was a huge difference, a world of difference, in fact.

Shi Yi already understood the runes required and how to activate the Fire Dragon Divine Technique after observing it.

His Double Pupils glowed as he used his deduction ability again. Before long, he grasped the essentials of this Divine Technique, even deducing its core mysteries.

Boom!

Shi Yi stretched out his right hand, and a large amount of flames erupted from his long fingers, gathering in the void and transforming into a writhing dragon. Compared to the disciple from King Wu's Manor, his Fire Dragon was more realistic. Its dense scales were incredibly hot, and its eyes were cold and ruthless, as if it were alive.

The most terrifying thing was that the Fire Dragon emitted a terrifying high temperature, and layers of visible heat waves swept through the courtyard.

After playing with it for a while, Shi Yi retracted the Fire Dragon.

Watching the disciples from King Wu's Manor practicing Divine Techniques, Shi Yi further appreciated the heaven-defying nature of his Double Pupils.

In front of a Double Pupil user, what were the so-called geniuses from the royal manor, the ancient descendants, or the pure-blooded creatures? They were nothing.

The only person in the entire Lower Realm's Wildlands that Shi Yi considered a true rival was Shi Hao. As for the other creatures, they were nothing more than chickens and dogs.

He shook his head slightly, no longer paying attention to the disciples of King Wu's Manor in the neighboring courtyard. Those simple Divine Techniques he could master with just a glance. Learning more was useless, as their power was limited.

What truly merited Shi Yi's attention were the Divine Techniques of the ancient remnants and the heavenly-grade凶 beasts.

He withdrew his gaze and focused on the few pieces of primitive rune bones left behind by Shi Yuan. Under the perspective of his Double Pupils, the secrets of the rune bones were revealed one by one.

"Roar!"

Primitive symbols burst forth from a rune bone, condensing in the void into a massive wolf that howled at the full moon in the sky.

Evidently, this rune bone came from a凶 wolf. Judging by the aura of this rune bone, it should have been very close to an ancient remnant before its death and was very powerful.

Shi Yi was silent. His Double Pupils rapidly rotated, analyzing the primitive imprints and symbols hidden within the rune bone. Under his deductions, a Divine Technique of considerable power was slowly formed and perfectly replicated by him.

"Heavenly Wolf Howls at the Moon."

He murmured to himself, uttering the name of the Divine Technique, and then turned his gaze to the other three primordial bone fragments.

Under the heaven-defying ability of his Double Pupils, Shi Yi could grasp the essence of Divine Techniques in a very short time, while others would need dozens of days or even months.

Besides "Heavenly Wolf Howls at the Moon," the other three Divine Techniques were "White Rhinoceros Horn," "Thunderbird Wings," and "Fire Toad."

Although these Divine Techniques were not yet at the level of the ancient remnants, they were sufficient for the current stage. When he truly entered the path of cultivation, Shi Yi would be able to access more profound and terrifying Divine Techniques.

He clearly remembered that King Wu's Manor had two town-guarding Divine Techniques.

And the places where Shi Yi could obtain Divine Techniques were not limited to King Wu's Manor. It wouldn't be difficult for Shi Yi to learn the Yu Clan's town-guarding Divine Technique.

The Yu Clan, as a powerful royal clan, couldn't possibly have only one powerful Divine Technique.

Besides, Shi Yi's father's teacher, Demon Spirit Lake, is also considered one. It's an ancient power comparable to the primordial divine mountains, and its ancestors once produced Celestial Gods.

The group Shi Yuan mentioned, who sought the true blood of the primordial ferocious beasts, was Demon Spirit Lake.

These three powers could provide Shi Yi with a considerable number of powerful inheritances. The rest would depend on Shi Yi's own opportunities.

However, these Divine Techniques could still be used in the lower realm. But after reaching the upper realm, they would be somewhat inferior. Even if they were all combined, they wouldn't be as good as a single Ten Evils Divine Technique.
