After closing down the library for the day Mea decided to head to her boyfriend's,Damien, place . Mea decided to pass by the mall to get the decorations and later go to the bakery for the cake she had ordered to be baked . As she was walking through the mall she saw a familiar figure and she was sure that her eyes were not playing pranks on her. It was Damien and he was walking hand in hand with a blonde girl who Mea suddenly recognized. It was Eve , her campus rival.
What were they doing together? Damien said that he'd be late as he was submitted to alot of work but he was now in the mall walking with Eve.
Mea mastered courage and walked up to Damien. " Damien," she called out as she fixed the ream of her glasses . " Babe, what are you doing here ? I have thought you're supposed to be at work?" Mea innocently asked not wanting to cause chaos.
Eve scoffed," Babe? Can you even listen to yourself. How can a handsome man like Damien be with a street rat like you !"
Eve turned to Damien," Babe send this begger away from us . I wouldn't want people to see us with her. She's gonna ruin our reputation.
Mea was confused beyond words." Damien what's going on ," she asked. " Mea listen , Eve is my girlfriend and you have to respect that!
Mea felt her heart crumble into pieces ,"wh...aa...t...what I'm I the * sobs*...what I'm tell me ," Mea yells. " You were just a fling Mea . You think I'd want to be with someone like you. You are not of my league. You're a classless bitch. Get over yourself," Damien pushes away Mea as they walk away. " Don't think of coming to my apartment again. We're done!!!"
" We're done!!!!, were done!!!" those words kept ringing in Mea's mind . Mea tried to collect herself from the ground where she was pushed away by Damien . Suddenly Mea had a panic attack . Luckily she had her inhaler in her bag. Mea tried to calm her nerves by breathing calmly and using her inhaler.
Mea walked out of the mall while people were looking at her. She didn't care ifpeople looked at her and talked behind her back because the pain in her heart reached its core.
As soon as Mea arrived at her apartment she locked herself in the bathroom and turned on the shower.As the water flew from the shower ,she cried silently for her only companion had betrayed her.
Mea and Damien met at Haven university and she tutored him for she was brilliant. After courting,they fell in love and had been together until today. Mea remember that Damien had called her a fling. She could believe that the only man she loved and adored called her a fling.
Even though Mea was heartbroken she still had a life to live ,stomach to feed and bills to pay. Mea' s parents had passed away in a car accident when she was just seventeen and she lived with her grandma.Unfortunately her grandmother was diagnosed with heart failure and they had to find a donor as soon as possible or she would lose the only member of her family.
