Author's Note

Every book begins as a whisper. A thought. A restless idea that keeps returning, no matter how hard you try to push it away. For me, this book is that whisper turned into a voice that refused to be silenced. And today, that voice becomes real—not only for me, but for you, the reader holding these pages in your hands.

This is my first book. The weight of those words feels heavy, but also breathtakingly beautiful. It is the first time I am opening the doors of my imagination and inviting others to step inside. It is the first time I am daring to show you not just a story, but a piece of myself—my fears, my fascinations, my darkest curiosities.

I did not want to write something simple, something ordinary. No. This book was born from the shadows of my heart. It carries within it everything I love: the intoxicating danger of dark romance, the shiver of forbidden choices, the pull of a world where reality bends, where fate is not gentle but cruel, and where love itself feels like both a curse and a salvation.

You will not find a sweet, simple love story here. You will find love that fights, claws, and burns. You will find choices that destroy as much as they create. You will find characters who are deeply flawed, who live on the edge of hate and desire, who might break you before they ever heal you.

Writing this story has been a journey of obsession. I laughed with my characters. I fought them. I doubted them. And sometimes, I hated them. But through all of it, they lived so fiercely in my head that I had no choice but to give them life on these pages.

As a debut author, I do not promise perfection. What I do promise is honesty. Every word has been written with sincerity, with love, and with the kind of passion that keeps a writer awake at night, scribbling down thoughts long after the world has fallen asleep.

This book is my first step into a dream I have carried since forever. If you are here, reading this note, then you are part of that dream too. For that, I thank you with all my heart. Thank you for giving me and my story a chance. Thank you for stepping into this world with me.

So, dear reader, take a breath. Turn the page. And prepare yourself. The world you are about to enter is not kind. It is not easy. But it is unforgettable. And perhaps, just perhaps, you will find yourself as bound to it as I am.

With love, fire, and gratitude,

Akansha
