"Delicious!"
"So this is what rich people eat?"
"Cole, I'm so disappointed in you. You actually hid your wealthy identity from us!"
Yuzu, Karin, and Isshin complained while stuffing their mouths full of food.
Cole sighed helplessly. "Didn't I already tell you guys before that this house is mine?"
The Kurosaki family twitched at the corners of their mouths.
Yes, they had heard him say that—but who would believe him back then?
"Uncle Kurosaki, Ichigo, Yuzu, Karin—if the food isn't enough, I'll bring some fruit for dessert…"
Orihime, cheeks red, carried in a tray of fruit.
Cole twitched his mouth, grabbed a quick bowl of rice, and headed upstairs.
"Don't come in!"
Rukia's indignant voice came from her room.
"Relax, I'm not here to spank you this time."
Cole casually replied and pushed the locked door open with ease.
"Get out, you damn brat!"
Rukia hurled pillows and cushions at him, furious.
Last night, the brat had pinned her down and spanked her.
The most humiliating part—she couldn't even fight him off.
Cole set the tray beside her bed. "Not my fault. You're the one who messed with that spray. Now Orihime acts like my girlfriend and I'm stuck cleaning up the mess."
Rukia coughed awkwardly. Yes… that was on her.
…
"Cole, are you rich or not?"
On the way to school, Ichigo looked at him suspiciously. Rukia and Orihime also glanced over.
"Nope. Just an ordinary family."
Cole shook his head.
"Then your house…"
"Oh, that?" Cole scratched his chin casually. "Five years ago, I smashed a few gangs and bought it with their money."
"…"
Ichigo: "…"
Orihime: "…"
Rukia: "…"
…
"What!?"
The classroom erupted.
"Orihime, you're living with Cole!?"
All the students stared in disbelief.
Orihime blushed furiously but nodded.
"How could this happen!? Orihime, how could you move in with that womanizer!? Did he threaten you?"
Tatsuki glared daggers at Cole. "If he forced you, just tell me. I'll beat the crap out of him!"
"No, no…" Orihime shook her head quickly, her face crimson. "Cole-kun… confessed to me. He asked me to live with him…"
"Eh!?"
Tatsuki's heart clenched. The womanizer actually confessed? So in the end, he still preferred Orihime's figure…
Rukia felt panic creeping in. She quietly stood up, edging toward the door—then broke into a run.
"Hold it!"
Cole appeared at the door in his shinigami form, glaring at her. "Where do you think you're going, Miss Shinigami?"
Rukia swallowed hard, forcing a straight face. "Cole, look how kind I've been. I let you become a shinigami, and I even let you have such a beautiful girlfriend…"
"Heh…"
Cole crossed his arms, smirking coldly. Go on, keep digging.
Rukia's heart skipped. She raised her fist, snarling, "Don't think I can't beat you! I just didn't want to bother before. If I really fought you—"
"Yaaah!!!"
She yelped mid-sentence as Cole scooped her up by the waist.
"Miss Shinigami, what would happen if we fought?"
Sweat ran down Rukia's forehead.
"What… would happen?"
"Heh heh… I'd spank you until you couldn't sit down." Cole grinned wickedly. "Better not scream in front of the class. Wouldn't want any misunderstandings, right?"
"W-wait, Cole-sama, mercy!!" Rukia thrashed wildly. No way was she enduring something that sounded that humiliating.
"Too late to run!"
As they tussled, Cole suddenly froze. So did Rukia.
Both turned toward the classroom entrance.
Standing there was Chad—towering like a steel tower, carrying a cage. Inside, a platinum-feathered parrot shifted uneasily.
Ichigo also noticed. He approached, frowning. "Cole, Rukia… what's that?"
His instincts screamed. That parrot wasn't normal.
"A human soul…"
Cole narrowed his eyes. He remembered this story.
A murderous criminal had slaughtered a mother and child. When he fell into Hollowhood, his cruelty only deepened.
He tormented the boy's soul, trapping it in the form of a parrot. He promised that if the child could avoid him for three months, he would "resurrect" his mother.
But the dead never return. It was just another twisted game. He killed anyone who tried to protect the child—feeding on their despair.
Cole clenched his jaw and spread his reiryoku.
One hundred meters.
Two hundred.
Three hundred.
"Can't find him…"
He glanced at his system interface.
[Current Points Available: 697]
[Reiryoku: 48,800]
[Strength: 5,142]
[Speed: 842]
[Zanpakuto: 100]
[Reiraku: 100]
[Soul Control: 100]
[Reiryoku Burst: 100]
[Reiryoku Armor: 100]
After days of absorbing spirit power, he had saved nearly seven hundred points.
And now it was time to use them.
"System—dump them all into Reiraku!"
In an instant, his perception sharpened.
Scarlet threads stretched everywhere—each one a human's spirit.
But amidst them… one thread was pitch-black.
"Found you!"
Cole snapped his gaze toward a half-finished building in the distance.
He leapt, smashing through the window, charging straight for it.
At eighty meters away, he swung his zanpakuto from within his soul.
"Shuuh!!!"
Silver light tore across the sky.
BOOM!!!
The abandoned structure exploded under a single slash.
