Chapter 132 - Reinforcements Have Arrived

"Why do you want to arrest us? You can be completely sure we're not the lunatics out there in the forest." Luke was the first to speak when he saw Wednesday pointing a gun at him.

"We contacted you by radio, we told you what was happening in this place—why don't you believe us now?"

Wednesday didn't react to his words and said in a very direct way, "All of you are a danger to us. We are here for reasons other than saving you. We are authorized to eliminate any inconvenience, so it's in your best interest to cooperate."

The most complex part of this job was engaging in conversations with people in a state of panic. It's not easy at all to convince people of anything when they're terrified, so this is the best way to achieve it.

Roaarr!!!

"We have contact with the enemy!"

Luke saw a horrifying demonic figure appear in front of them, so without knowing how this would end, he extended his hands to be arrested.

Wednesday didn't pay attention to anything except her mission. She was beginning to assist with these field operations, so she felt increasingly confident in herself.

"What is that thing?" Luke asked Wednesday, wanting answers.

"A demon. We discovered that a very large sect has been moving around this forest doing things a human shouldn't do. Please, now refrain from asking stupid questions and don't separate from us." Wednesday tightened the silver tactical cuffs.

"Ahhhhh!"

"We need help here!"

"Zz… Elite team on the way!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Jonathan was at the front of the group, trying to eliminate a huge creature on his own.

"Take care of the civilians, evade the beast's attacks." Jonathan slid across the ground, continuously firing at the creature's stomach—this creature had two enormous horns on its head.

The loud and harsh sound frightened the civilians in the area; they hid among the tree roots, waiting for this nightmare to end.

However, obviously, hiding wasn't enough to calm them. Their trembling bodies betrayed them.

Boom!

A strong explosion sent powerful gusts of wind that frightened those people to the point of almost making them faint.

"Damn it, how do those idiots have weapons?" shouted Alexander when he saw the deer-headed people firing like madmen.

His men couldn't give him an answer, which enraged him even more.

But there was a better way to solve all those puzzles, and the simplest way was to eliminate them all.

"Let's show those lunatic sons of bitches what we can do," Alexander shouted again.

Wednesday had reached the front; she skillfully held a modified bow with explosive arrows and attacked the beast's back—the one fighting Jonathan—from afar.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Dozens of firearms were shot at the same time, but aside from the many sect members that died, they still hadn't managed to harm the other creature that was in the field.

"Ahhhh!!!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Jonathan, who was using his high-caliber pistol, unfortunately discovered that the damage wasn't enough, so he quickly changed tactics. "I have something better prepared for these situations."

For stronger creatures, Jonathan usually used his blue sword. Activating his Hand of God, blood coated the entire blade with a bright blue color, and without mercy, he attacked the creature's stomach.

"Aaarhhhgh!!!"

A horrifying scream echoed through the entire forest when Jonathan's attack pierced the demon. One of its long legs had been cut off; this not only made it fall, but it also suffered a devastating blow.

"Shit!" Jonathan, who was nearby, covered his chest with his hands as he saw the creature's horns heading toward him at high speed.

Crack!

Jonathan could feel his left arm was broken despite all the strength he had right now. "Incredible creature!"

"Jonathan, watch out!" Wednesday saw another shadow appear in the darkness, and she quickly fired three arrows.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"I wasn't expecting another one…" Jonathan stood up, but at that moment the sound of helicopters echoed above them.

The reinforcements had arrived.
