Crack! Crack! Crack!
Thick chains formed from spiritual energy burst from the ground, wrapping around Slenderman's enormous body as he twisted, but Jonathan gave him no chance to resist.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Dropping his pistols, Jonathan wielded the sacred sword of the sacraments and pierced through Slenderman's body, further weakening his presence.
Roooarrrr!!!
Slenderman's massive mouth released a thunderous roar that shattered the eardrums of many present, but showing no mercy, Jonathan, who was the judge and executioner of this dark entity, completed the seal.
Boom!
When Slenderman was swallowed by the spiritual prison, a blast of wind struck through the entire forest with overwhelming force.
Jonathan, like many others, was blown away, but when he saw Haley close to the catastrophe, he moved toward her regardless of his own safety and shielded her.
He did not know why he did that—rather, he did not understand it.
But when he prioritized Haley's safety over the elimination of a dark entity, something inside him changed completely.
Crack!
Jonathan felt his whole body heat up, and the gravest wounds on him healed.
"Are you alright?" Jonathan asked, looking at Haley, who was breathing rapidly.
Haley lifted her gaze and looked at Jonathan. She simply nodded.
Well, she was probably still in shock, so Jonathan stood up to check on how his agents were doing.
"Call the medical team, bring in the cleanup agents to finish the job," Jonathan shouted as he received a wooden cross Father Doung had brought to him to complete the seal.
This plan had been the most optimal, knowing the chances of killing Slenderman. So, after realizing many would die and that he could not kill Slenderman with his current abilities, Jonathan had switched the plan to sealing him instead.
To complete the seal, a key was needed. That key would contain Slenderman and leave him buried for all eternity—or so it was hoped.
When Jonathan received the key he would use, he took the wooden cross and began transforming it into the key that would now contain the dark entity.
The white wooden cross began turning black, and in an instant, seals with strange symbols appeared along its surface.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
"It's complete," Jonathan said after some time, then placed the wooden cross inside a special case and only then walked toward the agents lying on the ground.
Father Doung caught up to him and said: "You must focus on your recovery, Chief."
"My agents are on the ground injured. I at least need to make sure I'm with them," Jonathan said as he approached an agent who had a branch pierced through his chest.
He knelt, took his hand, and while absorbing all his pain, murmured: "Agent, you have fulfilled your mission. The operation has been a success, so now, rest."
"Thank you, Chief…" the agent whispered before falling unconscious.
This was the least he could do for all those still alive, and that's what he did—Jonathan relieved them of their pain one by one until there was no one left.
When Jonathan finished, he stood from the ground with trembling legs, and in an attempt to walk, he slowly moved away from the area.
Father Doung ordered the agents not to disturb him. After all, Jonathan did not need a babysitter.
As he moved away, Jonathan took a bullet from his pistol and slowly shaped it into his tenth tail. The bullet that had symbolically become his ninth tail, he placed into a magazine he carried in the pocket of his jacket.
"I hope my fallen agents tonight go to paradise… truly, that is the least they deserve for this work…" Jonathan honored each one of his agents, respected them, and hoped that at least their deaths were not in vain.
No one knew what lay beyond death; even he remembered nothing. But he knew that if God existed, He would reward His warriors who kept this world safe from dark entities.
