Chapter 184 - Chapter 184: The Visitor in the Shadows

Night gradually fell over Konoha.

The village lights flickered to life one after another, casting a warm glow across the streets.

Inside a small restaurant near the center of the village, Naruto, Nagato, Konan, Hinata, Sasuke, and a few others sat around a large table.

The atmosphere was surprisingly relaxed.

For the first time in years, Nagato wasn't carrying the weight of the Akatsuki on his shoulders.

For the first time in even longer, Konan wasn't worried about what disaster might come tomorrow.

It felt strange.

Strange, but comforting.

"Try this one."

Naruto pushed a bowl toward Nagato.

"The ramen here is the best in the village."

Nagato stared at the bowl for a moment.

Then he smiled faintly.

"I've heard you say that at least five times already."

"And I'll say it another five times."

Naruto crossed his arms confidently.

"Because it's true."

Konan covered her mouth as she laughed softly.

Even Sasuke's expression twitched slightly.

The atmosphere around the table became lighter.

For a brief moment, they looked less like powerful shinobi and more like ordinary friends.

Unfortunately, peace never lasted long.

Several kilometers away, hidden among the darkness of the forest, a strange figure emerged from the ground.

White Zetsu.

His head turned toward Konoha's distant walls.

"So they're really here."

A grin slowly spread across his face.

"Looks like Obito-sama won't like this news."

His body sank back underground and vanished.

Deep beneath the earth.

Inside a dimly lit cavern.

Obito sat silently on a stone throne.

The orange mask concealed his expression.

Only his single visible eye remained fixed on the darkness before him.

Moments later, White Zetsu emerged.

"I found them."

Obito's eye sharpened instantly.

"Nagato?"

"Nagato and Konan."

White Zetsu nodded.

"They're both in Konoha."

Silence filled the cavern.

The temperature seemed to drop.

For several long seconds, Obito said nothing.

Then a crack appeared in the armrest beneath his hand.

The stone shattered.

"So it really happened."

His voice was frighteningly calm.

Too calm.

White Zetsu instinctively stepped back.

Anyone familiar with Obito knew that this was when he was most dangerous.

"What about the Rinnegan?" Obito asked.

"Nagato still has it."

White Zetsu hesitated.

"And..."

"And what?"

"He looks healthy."

The cavern fell silent once again.

Obito slowly stood.

"What do you mean?"

White Zetsu swallowed.

"The machines are gone."

"His body is fully restored."

"He can walk."

"He fought Naruto today."

"And according to what I observed..."

White Zetsu paused.

"He is much stronger than before."

A dangerous aura spread through the cavern.

Even Black Zetsu emerged partially from the wall.

This information was disastrous.

Their plans had relied heavily on Nagato remaining dependent and controllable.

A healthy Nagato with Naruto's support was an entirely different problem.

Black Zetsu's expression darkened.

For a thousand years, every step had been carefully planned.

Now the future was beginning to deviate.

Again.

Obito remained silent.

Then suddenly, he laughed.

A low, cold laugh.

"Interesting."

His eye narrowed.

"Very interesting."

White Zetsu blinked.

"Obito-sama?"

Obito slowly turned toward him.

"If Nagato refuses to cooperate..."

His voice became icy.

"Then we'll simply take back what's ours."

Meanwhile, inside Konoha.

Naruto suddenly stopped walking.

The others looked at him.

"What is it?" Konan asked.

Naruto's eyes narrowed slightly.

For a split second, he had sensed something.

A presence.

Watching.

Observing.

The feeling vanished almost immediately.

Sasuke noticed his expression.

"An enemy?"

"Maybe."

Naruto glanced toward the dark forest beyond the village walls.

A smile slowly appeared.

"Looks like our guest has finally started moving."

Nagato followed his gaze.

The Rinnegan shimmered faintly.

"Then we should prepare."

Naruto nodded.

"Yeah."

The playful atmosphere from earlier disappeared.

Both men understood.

The next time they met the masked man, it would not end with simple observation.

One side would walk away victorious.

The other would lose everything.

Far above them, dark clouds drifted across the moon.

The storm was approaching.

And this time, Naruto intended to face it head-on.
