Morning light spilled through the windows of the Krusty Kunai as Raven stretched her arms above her head and yawned. The faint smell of dough and melted cheese drifted in from downstairs, where her parents were already preparing for the day's rush.
With a single hand sign, she created a shadow clone beside her.
Raven said, "Go interact with my parents on my behalf. I'm going to go find Ino."
Yumi flicked her tails and hopped off the bed, eyes half-lidded. "I'm coming along too."
Raven sighed. "Fine, fine."
The white-haired, violet-eyed Raven clone nodded, heading toward the kitchen, while the real Raven grabbed her cloak and stepped out into the hall with Yumi walking along with her.
The warm smell of pizza and garlic filled the kitchen. Chiyo Kamazaki stood by the oven, pulling out a golden crust, while Seijirō Kamazaki twirled his beard and stacked fresh toppings on the counter.
Raven leaned against the doorway. "Mom, Dad, can I get a slice of pizza with extra cheese?"
Seijirō's eyes lit up. "Ah, my daughter finally takes after her father and his love of extra cheesy pizza!"
Raven smiled. "Actually, Dad, I'm a vegan. I don't want any meat on it."
Seijirō froze mid-pose, one hand still proudly pointing toward the ceiling. Then his expression twisted into theatrical horror.
"But I always have my extra cheesy pizza with pepperoni—no! This cannot be! My daughter's a vegan? Impossible!"
He dropped to his knees dramatically and clutched his chest, pretending to die of heartbreak.
Chiyo sighed, grabbed a frying pan, and gave him a swift whack on the head. "So what if she's a vegan? Get over it!"
Raven laughed, shaking her head. "Actually, Mom and Dad, I'm just joking. I'm not a vegan."
Chiyo slumped against the counter in relief. "Thank goodness! You'd miss out on half the greatest pizzas in existence if you didn't eat meat!"
Raven crossed her arms, smirking softly. "All right, all right—give me a cheesy pepperoni pizza."
Seijirō shot to his feet instantly, rejuvenated. "Coming right up, Raven!"
Chiyo was already moving beside him, shouting, "Extra sauce, honey! Make it perfect!"
Raven watched them with quiet amusement, thinking to herself, It's a good thing I can control this shadow clone with my Rinnegan eyes.
Outside, the morning air was cool and clean. Raven adjusted her cloak and started down the main street, Yumi walking close behind her.
"So your target today is Ino?" Yumi asked.
Raven nodded. "That's right. Ino Yamanaka of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio. Blonde hair, bossy, but with huge potential. Her clan's specialty is the Mind Transfer Jutsu, but right now hers is weak. I'm going to help her perfect it."
Yumi tilted her head. "And how exactly do you plan to do that?"
Raven's tone shifted, more thoughtful. "I'll merge her Mind Transfer Jutsu with the chakra control techniques I inherited from my grandmother, Mito Uzumaki—the wife of the First Hokage and grandmother of Tsunade Senju. When I reestablished the Uzumaki village in the Land of Whirlpools, I gained access to several lost Uzumaki seals and techniques. I'll use those to amplify Ino's mental link abilities."
Yumi glanced up at her. "You've mentioned that before. It's been years since you restored that village."
Raven gave a faint, confident smile. "I know. I just like reminding you of my accomplishments.
After several minutes of walking through Konoha's winding streets, they spotted a small blonde girl shouting at a group of kids near a noodle stand.
Yumi's ears twitched. "This little tyrant is the one you want to train?"
Raven stopped, her violet eyes narrowing slightly. "That's Ino."
Ahead, Ino pointed at a little boy holding a steaming bowl of ramen.
"Give me that bowl of ramen or I'll punch you in the face!" she yelled.
Raven frowned, her voice tightening. "Oh no… that's Naruto she's bullying."
Yumi stepped forward slightly. "Are you going to step in?"
