The match between Shrek Academy and Star Luo Royal Academy finally began. Without Tang San to lead them, and even with Yu Tianheng joining their ranks, Shrek Academy was like a broken ship lost in a storm.
They had no captain to guide them through the waves. Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, Ma Hongjun, and Oscar were not as strong as they should have been.
In this world, they never had the chance to eat the special immortal-grade herbs that would have boosted their power. Because of this, there was a huge gap between them and the Star Luo Royal Academy team led by Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun.
As soon as the fighting started, it was clear that Shrek stood no chance. It was a one-sided beating. Dai Weisi used his White Tiger Spirit to completely crush Dai Mubai. Zhu Zhuyun's Hell Civet was too fast and restricted Zhu Zhuqing at every turn. Yu Tianheng fought with everything he had, but he was like a single tree trying to stop a whole forest.
The other team worked together perfectly, while Shrek struggled to keep up. Ma Hongjun tried to use his Evil Fire Phoenix, but he was suppressed before he could even start a real attack. Oscar's sausages were helpful, but they couldn't fix the massive difference in raw strength.
The defeat of Shrek Academy was fast and painful. When the referee shouted that Star Luo Royal Academy was the winner, Dai Mubai looked like he had seen a ghost. His face was white as paper. His spirit power was totally gone, and his Spirit was about to collapse.
He was so scared and sad about his future that his legs gave out. He couldn't even walk off the stage. Ma Hongjun and Oscar had to grab him by his arms and carry him away. Zhu Zhuqing was crying so hard she almost fainted.
She felt helpless against the fate her family had chosen for her. Shrek's journey in the finals ended right there, in a very embarrassing way. In this world, they didn't even make it past the first round.
While Shrek Academy was leaving in shame, Tianxing Academy was doing the exact opposite. After Divine Wind Academy quit, Tianxing Academy showed everyone why they were the best. Over the next few days, they dominated every single match. It didn't matter who they fought; nobody could stand against them.
Tang Chen and Xiao Ruier were so powerful that they could have beaten any team all by themselves. They won every match without any trouble and moved through the rounds easily. Just a few days later, they had reached the final match of the tournament.
Inside the Supreme Pontiff Palace, the mood was very serious. Bibi Dong sat on her high throne. Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan and Ghost Douluo Gui Mei stood next to her like statues. Below them were the Elders of Spirit Hall and the Golden Generation team. Xie Yue, Yan, and Hu Liena stood at the front. They looked proud, but in front of Bibi Dong, they had to keep their heads down.
Bibi Dong looked at them with cold eyes. She asked if they understood the plan she had just explained. Xie Yue stepped forward and bowed. He told her that they understood her orders perfectly. Bibi Dong nodded, but her voice stayed cold. She told them that in the final match tomorrow, they must win for the glory of Spirit Hall.
She also ordered them to be cruel. She told them to hurt their opponents, especially Tang Chen and Xiao Ruier. She told them to show no mercy. The three young members of the Golden Generation felt a shiver run down their spines. They could feel how much Bibi Dong wanted those two dead.
Ghost Douluo Gui Mei spoke up from the shadows. He asked what would happen if they lost the match tomorrow. He wanted to know if they would really let the Tianxing team leave Spirit City.
The air in the room got even colder when he asked that. Bibi Dong smiled in a way that wasn't friendly at all. She said that they would let them leave the city openly. She explained that Spirit Hall must look like it follows the rules because they are an example for everyone else.
However, her voice turned dark. She said that once they were outside the city, things were different. She mentioned that the outside world is dangerous, with wild Spirit Beasts and bandits.
She said if an "accident" happened out there, it wouldn't be her fault. She said their lives would be up to fate. Gui Mei understood exactly what she meant. He bowed and said he would go make the arrangements to make sure nothing went wrong.
As he started to leave, Bibi Dong stopped him. She asked if there was any news about Devil Bear Douluo. She was annoyed that a Titled Douluo had been missing for so long without any explanation. Gui Mei and Yue Guan both went stiff.
They looked at each other, feeling very embarrassed. It took a moment before Gui Mei dared to speak. He told her that they had heard some rumors from the border of the Star Luo Empire.
Yue Guan added that the rumors were very silly and made Spirit Hall look bad. That was why they hadn't told her yet. Bibi Dong told them to speak immediately. Gui Mei took a deep breath.
He told her that people saw Elder Devil Bear near the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. He said people saw him running around without any clothes on. He was chasing the Vice Clan Leader, Yu Luomian, and the Elders. He was screaming that he would kill them for "taking his innocence."
The room went completely silent. The other Elders wanted to laugh but were too scared to try. The Golden Generation members were shaking because they were trying so hard not to laugh out loud. This was a huge embarrassment for Spirit Hall. A Titled Douluo was acting like a crazy person and causing a scandal.
Bibi Dong was so angry her fingers turned white as she gripped her scepter. She took some deep breaths to calm down. She ordered everyone to keep this a secret. She told them to find him immediately and bring him back, dead or alive.
She then brought the focus back to the finals. She said the most important thing was tomorrow. She looked at everyone and said that no matter who won the trophy, Tang Chen must not return home alive. She pointed out that he was already a Spirit Emperor at a very young age.
Even worse, his sixth Spirit Ring was a hundred-thousand-year ring, which was impossible. She reminded them that he was the son of Tang Hao, the man who had caused Spirit Hall so much trouble in the past. She said he was too dangerous and must be stopped before he got any stronger.
Bibi Dong waved her hand to let them go. She looked tired but still very dangerous. She said she would personally join the operation to stop them. She wanted to see how many hits that "three-headed beast" could take from her.
As Bibi Dong and the officials were planning their attack, they didn't notice something happening outside. High above the Supreme Pontiff Palace, in the dark night sky, the space itself started to twist. A giant shape appeared out of the darkness. It was a massive black Dragon head. It looked like it was made of shadows and ancient power.
It was so big that the head alone could cover half the mountain. If its whole body appeared, it would be as large as a mountain range. The dragon opened its eyes in the dark. Its eyes were a bright, pure gold, looking down with a very noble and powerful gaze.
