Tang Hao looked at his son. Tang San had a pained look in his eyes and asked many hard questions. Tang Hao felt his face muscles twitch. A small flash of regret moved across his tired, rough face.
He turned his head away because he could not look his son in the eye. His voice was low and very hoarse as he spoke. He told Tang San that he truly did not know things would end this way. He said he thought things would go differently.
Tang San did not want to hear it. His voice became very loud and he cut his father off. Tears ran down his face. These tears were mixed with a deep and endless hatred. He cried out in a hurry. He asked if his father really did not know that the beast named Tang Chen would use such evil and mean methods.
He asked if his father really did not know that Xiao Wu would choose to sacrifice herself. Tang San screamed that Xiao Wu was now gone. Her hundred-thousand-year spirit ring and her spirit bone were both stolen by that man. He asked his father if he was satisfied with this result.
Tang San thought about Xiao Wu. He remembered her loving and brave gaze. At the very end, she had looked at Tang Chen. She had burned her own soul to give power to her enemy. Thinking about this made Tang San feel like his heart was being twisted like a cloth. He felt a sweet taste of blood in his throat. His breathing became heavy and loud like an ox. His eyes were so red with blood that it looked like they would overflow.
He roared in anger that he was going to kill him. He said he would go and kill Tang Chen right now. He wanted to take back everything that belonged to him. As he yelled, his spirit power started to rush out of his body in a way he could not control. He turned around and tried to run fast toward Spirit City.
Tang Hao saw this and stood up quickly. He blocked Tang San's path like a giant tower made of iron. The fire of anger was burning bright in his eyes. Suddenly, there was a loud slapping sound. Tang Hao raised his large hand, which was as big as a fan.
He swung it with a strong wind and slapped Tang San across the face. The force was so great that Tang San stumbled back several steps. His cheek turned red and began to swell up instantly.
Tang Hao called him a bastard. His hair seemed to stand up as he roared with fury. He asked Tang San if he had forgotten who he was. He reminded Tang San that he was now an Evil Soul Master. People all over the continent wanted to catch him. He was an enemy to every Spirit Master.
Tang Hao told him that if he showed his face now, he would not get revenge. Instead, Spirit Hall, the big sects, and many people would hunt him down. He said they would act like hungry animals and tear him apart. He asked if Tang San was just trying to die.
Tang San held his burning cheek. He looked very upset and lost. He said he did not care about that. He claimed that even if he died, he would take Tang Chen down with him. He said he could not let the sacrifice of Xiao Wu be for nothing. Tang Hao looked at him with a bit of pain in his eyes, but he also looked very firm. He told his son that he could not act without thinking.
Tang San was completely filled with sadness and anger. He did not listen. He ignored everything and raised his hand. He called out the Clear Sky Hammer. The heavy hammer made a sad whistling sound in the air as Tang San swung it at his own father. Tang Hao roared at him. He asked what he was trying to do and reminded him that he was his father.
Tang Hao was much faster. His body moved smoothly to the side to avoid the heavy hammer. He used his hand, which was filled with strong spirit power, to hit Tang San on the back of the neck. Tang San stopped moving instantly. The madness and hate were still in his eyes, but he went limp and fell down. Tang Hao caught him.
He looked at his son who was now unconscious in his arms. Tang San's face was still covered in tears. Tang Hao let out a long and heavy sigh. He whispered to himself. He told Little San not to worry. He promised to find a way to help him get back what he lost.
He said he would take him to Slaughter City to train. He planned for Tang San to go through Hell Road and get the Slaughter God Domain. After that, he would teach him the secret technique of the Clear Sky Sect called Ring Explosion. He said then it would be up to Tang San to clean the name of the Tang Clan.
Inside Spirit City, there was a hotel room where the Shrek Academy stayed. The room smelled very strongly of alcohol. Yu Xiaogang was slumped on the floor. He leaned against the cold wall.
He held a wine bottle very tightly in his hand, even though it was tilted. Wine had spilled all over his clothes, but he did not notice or care. His face was very red and his eyes could not focus. His hair was a mess. He did not look like the smart and calm Yu Xiaogang who knew everything about spirit theories. He looked like a man who had lost all hope and was very drunk.
Flender frowned and walked toward him. He told Yu Xiaogang to stop drinking. He tried to take the bottle away. Yu Xiaogang suddenly waved his arm and pushed Flender's hand away roughly. He told Flender to get lost. The wine bottle hit the floor and broke into pieces. The wine splashed everywhere. Yu Xiaogang looked up with red eyes.
He glared at Flender and spoke with a voice that was rough from drinking. He asked what else he was supposed to do if he did not drink. He moved his arms around as if he was trying to catch something, but there was nothing there.
He cried out that Little San was gone. He said Tang Hao took him and they did not know if he was alive. He said Xiao Wu was dead. She had sacrificed herself right in front of them. She had become a spirit ring for someone else. Yu Xiaogang let out a loud laugh, but it sounded worse than crying. It was a laugh full of despair. He said everything was gone.
Flender tried to make him feel better. He told him to calm down because what happened had already happened. Yu Xiaogang yelled back at him. He asked how he could be calm. He said the big competition for the whole continent was about to start.
He asked where his student Tang San was. He said Tang San was his only hope to prove that his theories about spirits were right. He asked who he was supposed to count on now. He asked if Dai Mubai and the others could win. He answered himself by saying no. He said that without Little San, the others were nothing. He started to feel sick and gagged as he spoke.
He cried about his twenty years of hard work. He said he had stayed in rooms with old books for twenty years while people laughed at him. He had put all his hopes and all his spirit theories into Little San. Now, he felt it was all over and he had nothing. He called himself a waste and a complete failure. He began to laugh again in a crazy way. He hit the ground hard with his hands. His knuckles were bleeding, but he did not stop.
Flender felt very sad and angry seeing his friend like this. He yelled at him to pull himself together. He said as long as they were alive, there was still hope. Yu Xiaogang laughed at that. He asked where the hope was.
He asked if the hope was in that monster Tang Chen or in the poor academy. He told Flender to stop being fake. He said Flender did not understand. He said his path to proving his spirit theories was broken forever. He pointed at Flender and let out all his anger.
He said it was all because of fate. He asked why his own spirit was the weak Luo San Pao instead of a Golden Sacred Dragon. He asked why he had to suffer even when he found a student. He looked up at the ceiling and yelled at the heavens.
He asked why this was happening to him. Slowly, his voice got soft. He started to cry and make small sounds. He curled up in the corner of the room like a lost dog that had no hope left.
In one place, people were getting stronger and had a bright future. In another place, everything was stolen and the path ahead was dark. Some people were happy, but others were very sad.
Meanwhile, in a forest near the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, a strange chase was happening. A very loud roar broke the quiet of the night. Devil Bear Douluo was completely naked. His large and strong body looked very bright under the moon.
He ran through the forest like a big tank. Trees fell down as he ran and dirt flew into the air. His eyes were red with anger. He felt very ashamed and upset. He was chasing several people who were running away in a mess.
The man running at the very front was Yu Luomian. He was a leader in the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Right now, he did not look like a leader. His clothes were torn by branches and his hair was messy. He was running as fast as he could.
He turned his head back to try and explain. He shouted that it was all a big mistake. He asked Elder Devil Bear to listen. He said they did not know it was him. They thought he was the young girl with the golden dragon blood.
Another Elder was running nearby and trying to pull up his pants at the same time. He had a very sad face. He said if they had known it was the Elder, they would never have done it. He said they were also victims. They thought about what had just happened in the forest and felt like their world was falling apart. They wished they could not see anything.
Devil Bear Douluo was so angry that his body shook. He punched a large tree and broke it. He roared and asked if they really thought he looked like a little girl. He asked if they were blind. He was so mad that he started to run even faster.
Another Elder who was slower almost got caught. He was so scared that he felt like his soul was leaving his body. He screamed that it must have been an illusion. He said someone made the Elder look like a girl. He said they were also tricked.
Yu Luomian felt terrible. He had never been so shamed in his whole life. His plan failed and he had made a powerful Elder from Spirit Hall very angry. He cried out and asked the Elder to be calm. He promised they would pay for the mistake and give him anything he wanted. He just wanted the Elder to be nice to them.
Devil Bear Douluo did not want any payment. He said his reputation and his purity were ruined. He yelled that they must pay with their lives. He just wanted to hit the men who had done this to him. It was a very strange sight in the woods.
Several old men with messy clothes were being chased by a strong, naked man. They were all scrambling in fear. There were many loud shouts and sounds of trees breaking.
Finally, one Elder who was too slow could not run anymore. He sat on the ground and watched the Elder get close. He cried out in despair. He asked the Elder not to hit him in the face. He said that he had been the most gentle one during the mistake.
When Devil Bear Douluo heard this, he almost fainted from rage. He roared that the man should not speak of it again. He promised to tear him apart first.
