Flender looked at him with disappointment and continued.

Flender pointed a finger at the dead bodies of the Spirit Beasts laying all over the ground. His voice became louder.

But look at what you are doing right now! This is not about survival or getting stronger because you need to. This is torture! This is just killing for no reason! You are slaughtering these creatures for a tiny chance of finding a Spirit Bone. This is not how a Spirit Master should act. These are the actions of an evil Spirit Master. 

He took a deep breath, trying to stay calm, but his anger was too great.

You say the future of other people does not matter to us, but this world is not just about our Shrek Academy! There is a delicate balance between Spirit Masters and Spirit Beasts. If you break this balance because you are selfish, the whole world will collapse.

Tang San did not look sorry at all. Instead, he had a cold smile on his face that was full of pride. He looked at Flender with contempt and spoke back.

He took a step forward and looked at the dead Spirit Beasts as if he were looking at a great work of art.

You call this torture and killing for no reason? I think this is just making the best use of what we have! These beasts were born to be resources for us Spirit Masters. They are just stepping stones for our Cultivation.

The only reason they exist is to make us stronger! What is wrong with using them to improve myself? Do I have to be fake like you? Do I have to take only the spirit ring and leave the body behind just to seem like a good person? That is just hypocrisy! 

Tang San's voice grew louder as he shared his dark view of the world.

All that talk about balance and legacy is just an excuse the weak people use to make themselves feel better! A truly strong person takes every resource they can find. They step on the bones of others to reach the Peak! History is written by the people who win.

As long as I am strong enough, my words will be the rules. I will decide what is right or wrong. When that time comes, who will dare to tell me I was wrong today? People will only look at the glory of Shrek. No one will care about the ants that were crushed along the way.

He looked at Flender with even more disrespect.

You say I am no different from an evil Spirit Master? Headmaster Flender, you are way too old-fashioned! Power is just power. There is no such thing as a Righteous Path or an evil path. Is power good when you use it the right way and bad when you use it the wrong way? That is just a limit that weak people put on themselves. As long as I get what I want, does it matter how I do it? After hearing Tang San's twisted logic, Flender felt a huge wave of anger. His spirit power began to shake because he was so upset. If this boy were not the son of Tang Hao, Flender would have wanted to strike him down right there. He felt that Tang San was becoming a danger to the entire Douluo Continent.

Just as the tension reached its highest point, Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong stepped in. They stood between Flender and Tang San to stop a fight from happening.

Little San! Stop talking right now! 

Yu Xiaogang grabbed Tang San's arm and yelled at him. On the other side, Liu Erlong held onto Flender's arm and tried to calm him down.

He said this to help Flender calm down, but he also didn't want Flender to see any more of Tang San's evil behavior. He wanted to stop the two of them from fighting again.

Flender looked deeply at Yu Xiaogang and then at the cold, uncaring Tang San. He felt very sad because he realized that Yu Xiaogang was choosing to side with his disciple, even though the boy was doing something wrong. 

Flender didn't say another word. He just let out a cold snort to show he was unhappy. He used his spirit power, and a bright light came from his body. Huge, metallic owl wings appeared on his back. With a loud cry like an eagle, he flew into the sky. He became a streak of light and flew away from the Sunset Forest without looking back. 

After Flender left, the heavy feeling in the forest stayed. In fact, it felt even more strange now that he was gone. Liu Erlong's kind face disappeared as soon as Flender was out of sight. She looked at Tang San, but she didn't look angry or worried about what he had said. Instead, she seemed to agree with him. 

She walked to the side and picked up a Spirit Beast that was almost dead. She carried it easily with one hand. With a loud thud, she threw a giant ape in front of Tang San. The ape had fur that looked like it was on fire. Even though it was weak, you could still feel the hot, violent energy coming from it. It was a Ten-Thousand-Year Blazing Fire Ape. 

Little San, Yu Xiaogang specifically asked me to catch this Ten-Thousand-Year Blazing Fire Ape for you. It was not easy to find. He said this beast has a very strong and explosive fire attribute.
