Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : Ultimate Vitality

Tang Chuan sat peacefully in the twilight, a blade of Blue Silver Grass swaying gently on his fingertips, weightless and seemingly harmless. Suddenly, his expression sharpened. A thought from the original story came back to him: the fifth spirit ring that Tang San had obtained.

It was an Innate spirit ring that appeared after his Spirit awakened and evolved into the Blue Silver Emperor with the help of the Blue Silver King. From that moment on, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass was no longer just a flexible vine. It could condense into the incredibly sharp Blue Silver Overlord Spear, a weapon capable of piercing the heavens.

"Blue Silver Overlord Spear…" Tang Chuan muttered, his eyes gleaming with understanding. Wasn't that technique the ultimate expression of condensing and compressing the energy of the Blue Silver Grass? Under the influence of powerful spirit power and boundless life force, the soft grass was transformed into a razor-sharp blade and a powerful spear.

A sudden realization struck Tang Chuan. "I get it!" he exclaimed. "The reason the Blue Silver Grass can become the Overlord Spear is because it condenses and compresses all the energy of the spirit ring, making the grass incredibly hard and giving it offensive power.

As long as my spirit power is strong enough, the quality of my spirit rings is high, and my life force is endless, the Blue Silver Grass will naturally become extremely tough and turn into a weapon. It won't be just a vine anymore. It'll be a sharp blade, a spear, a sword—the ultimate expression of all plant power."

He remembered an ancient saying, and his heart pounded with excitement. "Grass, wood, bamboo, and stone can all be swords. Picking flowers and flying leaves can harm people." In his mind, this wasn't just a fantasy; it was a future he could truly achieve.

"I might not have twin spirits or the Clear Sky Hammer, but I have Blue Silver Grass. To be precise, I have the top-tier plant Spirit, the Blue Silver Emperor. It's by no means weaker than the Clear Sky Hammer. The Blue Silver Grass follows the path of life.

If I handle it correctly, I can evolve it into a powerful Spirit that combines offense and defense. My Blue Silver Grass will have endless attacks, continuous recovery, and terrifying control abilities.

At that point, who in this entire World will be my opponent? This life-type path doesn't need control-type Spirit Abilities. There's no need for useless abilities like Binding, restraint, or spider webs, because the Blue Silver Grass itself can bind and control! Ultimate life force is the correct direction for Blue Silver Grass cultivation."

Several hours later, the night had deepened. Moonlight spilled over the walls of Noding Academy, and silver-white light filtered through the tree shadows, creating dappled patterns on the ground.

Tang Chuan stood alone in the academy's courtyard, his hands in his sleeves, letting the night wind sweep over his robe. His gaze was fixed on the distance, lost in thought.

"Brother," a slightly hesitant voice called from behind him.

Tang Chuan turned and saw Tang San walking toward him. Tang San stopped in front of him, hesitated, and then spoke in a low voice. "Brother, could you... go apologize to Grandmaster tomorrow morning?"

Tang Chuan simply raised an eyebrow, staying silent and watching his younger brother.

Tang San lowered his head, adding with a hint of worry, "You're my Grandmaster and my brother. I really don't want there to be any conflict between you. Grandmaster is a Spirit theory master, and his guidance on Spirit Cultivation won't be wrong.

He said that Blue Silver Grass is an inherently useless Spirit with almost no offensive power. So if it doesn't follow the control system and doesn't rely on Spirit Abilities to restrain enemies, then how can you fight? Are you really going to take the life-type route and just become a support Spirit Master?"

Tang San was serious. He truly believed in his Grandmaster's Spirit theory. However, Tang Chuan just smiled faintly, a smile tinged with helplessness and a touch of disappointment.

"Little San, you're still too young," he said. Tang Chuan turned his back to his brother, looking at the dark horizon. His voice was low, but it held a clear anger and coldness. "You want me to apologize to Yu Xiaogang? Impossible. He constantly says there are no useless Spirits, only useless Spirit Masters.

Then I have to ask, what about him? He claims to be a theoretical master, but after cultivating for so many years, what has he accomplished? I heard from the academy teachers that his spirit power hasn't even reached level thirty, and his Spirit is a pig with no combat power. He's studied Spirit theory for decades, but his own spirit power hasn't advanced an inch?"

"Do you know how many years he's been at Noding Academy? Have you ever seen him teach a single class? Has he ever guided a regular student even once? He can't become strong himself, so he puts all his hopes on you. His so-called policy of only accepting geniuses as disciples sounds impressive, but really, he just looks down on ordinary people and is too lazy to teach students who might not achieve results."

Tang Chuan's voice grew colder, a hint of sarcasm in his eyes. "Someone so arrogant and out of touch with reality isn't worthy of being a teacher. You're his student, you can believe him. I'm not, and I don't believe him, and I won't ever back down."

Tang San was momentarily stunned. He hadn't expected Tang Chuan's view of Grandmaster to be so harsh, almost to the point of completely tearing down his character and teaching ethics.

"Brother… you're being too extreme," Tang San argued in a quiet voice.

Tang Chuan shook his head, glancing at his brother and softening his tone slightly. "I'm not being extreme. I just see things clearly. If you believe him, then follow him and cultivate well. I won't stop you. I'll walk my own path."

The wind rustled softly, ruffling the corners of their clothes. Moonlight shone between the two brothers, making them seem close together. But in reality, they were drifting further and further apart.

It was late at night, and the student dormitory at Noding Academy was quiet. Tang Chuan had returned to bed early, curling up in his covers. He closed his eyes, but he couldn't fall asleep. He could vaguely hear the soft rustling of the wind through the treetops outside the window. His mind kept replaying the image of the weak Blue Silver Grass floating in his palm.

"I'm not... Tang San," he thought. "He has innate full spirit power and twin spirits. But I only have one Spirit, and my innate spirit power is only level one. Even if my Blue Silver Grass develops along the life-type cultivation path, my cultivation speed will be extremely slow. I have to find a way to increase my spirit power quickly."

"In this World, to quickly increase spirit power, besides long periods of meditation, the only other ways seem to be absorbing spirit rings and Spirit Bones."

As this thought crossed his mind, Tang Chuan's eyes suddenly opened. He stared at the dark ceiling, a flood of information about Spirit Bones from the original story rushing through his mind.

Once a Spirit Bone was successfully fused, it could not only increase spirit power and enhance the body but also provide Spirit Abilities, making it an even more precious treasure than a spirit ring. An ordinary Spirit Master might never get a Spirit Bone in their entire life. And there was only one source for every Spirit Bone: Spirit Beasts.

"Spirit Bones..." Tang Chuan murmured to himself, a glint in his eyes. He subconsciously looked toward the wooden bed not far away.
