Luciel didn't have much to pack.
Just three heavy bags filled with Ariel's experimental materials and delicate equipment—most of which clinked faintly every time he moved them.
Elara, standing by the window, pointed toward the faint silhouettes of men lingering outside. "How are we supposed to get out under that kind of surveillance?"
Luciel raised an eyebrow, a sly grin curling at the edge of his mouth. "That's easy. And very exciting."
"Exciting?" Elara tilted her head, suspicious.
"You'll see when we walk out," he said simply, adjusting his coat and heading for the door.
The three women exchanged uncertain looks but followed him anyway.
"Are you serious?" Elara hissed as they descended the stairs. "You're just going to walk out? Won't they see us?"
"When you came in earlier, you sneaked," Luciel reminded her. "But think about it. If they think we're still inside, they won't expect us to stroll right past them."
