Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 — chaos on the demon train

Tanjiro rushed straight at the demon, performing Water Breathing forms with the determination of someone who had woken up after a 5-minute motivational YouTube video. His sword sliced through the air again and again, but Enmu dodged every attack with the smugness of someone who believed he was the main character of the universe.

Annoyed, Enmu snapped his fingers and instantly put Tanjiro to sleep.

But Tanjiro, being built different, woke up in one second, cutting his own dream-neck and popping back to reality like it was nothing.

Enmu was shocked. And then he got even more shocked—like "Wi-Fi disconnected during ranked match" shocked—when he saw the two boys behind Tanjiro standing normally, completely unaffected by his demon art.

"W–Why aren't you asleep!?" he shouted, voice trembling like he had seen a ghost.

The boys simply blinked at him.

Then—without any warning—both Jinsung and Seungho sprinted toward him like two chaotic NPCs who pressed the attack button too early.

Enmu panicked. He tried EVERYTHING—sleep art, illusions, creepy smiles, fancy hand waves—but none of it worked. Not even 1%. His demon blood art may as well have been a gentle breeze.

Jinsung, face red from trying way too hard, swung his sword at Enmu with all his strength. It looked fierce… but Enmu dodged the attack effortlessly.

However, dodging was the exact mistake that allowed Seungho to appear behind him like a wild jump-scare and grab him tightly around the torso.

"Tanjiro! Cut his neck while I'm holding him!" Seungho shouted, struggling as Enmu flailed like a slippery octopus.

Tanjiro didn't hesitate. With a clean slash—textbook perfect—he cut Enmu's neck.

But of course, Enmu didn't die. Plot armor demanded drama.

"Oh come on," Jinsung muttered.

Because Enmu had already fused with the entire train. His body started mutating rapidly into a disgusting purple mass full of eyes, veins, and nightmare fuel textures that would give any designer trauma. He spread his flesh across the train like purple slime, laughing in a creepy echoing voice.

Suddenly Jinsung remembered something crucial.

"Oh yeah! We have to separate the engine from the train!"

Just then, because timing is everything, Inosuke appeared out of absolutely nowhere. One moment he wasn't there, the next moment he was screaming like he had respawned mid-battle.

Tanjiro quickly explained, "Inosuke! The whole train has become the demon!"

Inosuke puffed his chest."I knew this metal beast was a demon! But none of you believed LORD INOSUKE!"

"Cool bro, we get it," Jinsung said quickly, "Anyway, we need to cut the engine. Beneath it is the demon's neck!"

The four of them sprinted through the swaying train cars. As they reached the engine, Enmu began attacking them with dozens of creepy hands emerging from every direction.

Tanjiro sliced through them. Inosuke yelled and jumped over them. But the hands that struck Jinsung and Seungho… simply did nothing.

The attacks bounced off like they were made of air.

"Huh?" Tanjiro said, confused.

"WHAT IS THIS CHEAT CODE?" Inosuke shouted.

Seungho yelled, "Cut the neck fast! If you slow down, the people will die!"

Tanjiro and Inosuke dashed forward at full speed. Meanwhile, Jinsung and Seungho acted like two human shields, taking hits for them—though honestly, the hits were about as dangerous as gentle taps.

Suddenly the train driver, who clearly woke up deciding to be the villain today, tried to sneak-attack the boys with a metal tool. Jinsung reacted instantly, blocking the attack.

"WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" Seungho shouted, genuinely offended.

Finally, Tanjiro and Inosuke found the demon's true neck inside the engine. With dual slashes, they cut it clean through.

The moment the demon's core was severed, the entire train violently jolted.

The whole train lifted off the tracks, flipping dramatically in the air like it had signed up to be in a Hollywood action film. Then it crashed sideways with a thunderous BOOM, metal screeching and dust exploding everywhere.

Everything fell silent.

Groans echoed around the crash site. Some passengers crawled out. Someone coughed. Someone else screamed for help.

Then Jinsung stood up.Perfect.Completely unharmed. Not even dusty.

"This newbie protection is the BEST thing ever," he said proudly, brushing invisible dirt off his sleeves.

As he said that—

"QUEST COMPLETED"You have earned 5 years of swordsmanship experience.

A glowing system window popped up in front of him. His body suddenly felt lighter. Stronger. His sword weighed almost nothing now. His limbs moved like he had trained since childhood.

His stats skyrocketed—10× what they were seconds ago.

Seungho walked up, eyes sparkling like a kid who just unlocked a legendary item.

"BRO! LOOK AT THIS!"

He swung his sword at a nearby tree.SLICE.The tree split perfectly into two, falling cleanly to the sides.

"YEAAAHHHH! WE'RE FINALLY STRONG!" Seungho shouted, voice echoing across the forest.

But their celebration was cut short.

Another window popped up.

This one glitching. Flickering.

"SECOND QUEST UNLOCKED"????

The question marks pulsed ominously. The boys stared at the screen, dread and excitement mixing.

Whatever came next… wasn't going to be peaceful
