Elian was sitting on her bed, wearing glasses, quietly reading.
Rowan knocked lightly on the window.
Tap. Tap.
She turned
Then her face lit up instantly.
"Master!"
She rushed over and opened the window.
"Come in!"
Rowan flew inside and landed smoothly.
He looked at her for a moment.
"When did you start reading?" he asked. "I didn't expect you to be this serious."
Elian smiled.
"Don't forget, I'm still a teacher."
She adjusted her glasses slightly.
"I enjoy reading. It's calming."
She paused, then added
"Even if I've agreed to what you said, I'll still be teaching for now. I'll resign tomorrow and return home."
She looked at him with a small smile.
"But I'll still visit you whenever I want."
"And you'll still be eating my handmade meals. That part hasn't changed."
Rowan waved it off casually and sat on her bed.
"Yeah, yeah. Sure."
Elian crossed her arms slightly.
"So, are you going to tell me why you came here this late?"
Rowan froze for a split second.
