Aquaman leaned on the table slightly with an obvious question, "Then if you are so important to your race... How did you arrive on earth alone?"
The question made Pink go quiet for a few seconds... She wasn't sure how much she wanted to answer on that... Or that she had an answer at all... 'Obviously the I woke up as a cartoon character is out of the table.'
After a few seconds, Pink's face, that turned completely serious, as she said, "I am not sure... I should be dead..."
Pink wasn't lying here. She was sure her human body is dead... Or by now, rotten and eaten by all kinds of insects in a grave six feet under, or maybe the card simply destroyed her old human body completely...
Not to mention, when the card pulled her, the car would probably have crashed, and he was driving quite fast... So even if his body remained, then it should have died, and is long buried.
And Pink Diamond's side gave up existence to allow Steven to be... Some could argue that she is alive... But no... Pink was gone.
In the show, when White Diamond took the diamond out of Steven, trying to take Pink out to make her stop playing the 'game'... Pink didn't come back; only a projection of Steven formed from the diamond... It may seem slightly unclear to those that watched the show...
But she was Pink, or at least as close as it can be... She knew what it meant if her diamond formed in the shape of Steven even after being separated.
It was a simple conclusion: she was already gone... She was dead... A diamond is everything... The memories, the powers, it literally is the entire being of what a diamond is... A light form is just an accessory, something useful, but ultimately completely replaceable and irrelevant... Like a hair color.
She wasn't shattered... Her diamond simply stopped being her diamond anymore... It was Steven... As for Pink?... There was nothing left... She was just really gone.
'The original Pink didn't regret that choice... She was the reason Steven suffered many times to deal with the consequences of her actions... But Pink, by the time, has been living on earth in peace for so long...
She believed that she was free... For thousands of years, there was not a single issue... Pink or Rose completely believed Steven was safe in her planet... To live, to make choices, to be the best of the two worlds of two species.
Then came the empire, the cluster, and the secrets, the diamonds, and Spinel, and so much more... She was not perfect, but when it came to Steven in particular, she truly believed that he was safe...
She loved her son... Not as a human mother, because she wasn't a human, till the end she wasn't clear on most of things... But she loved him enough to stop existing... She believed with all her diamond that Steven was worth everything...
...Steven was worth her being gone... And when someone who finally find a home away from the diamonds and the empire that she considered like a cage... When she was willing to let go after achieving her happy ending...
That meant something... Maybe Pink did many mistakes... But when it came to Steven, she meant well... In everything.
Pink's head snapped back as a hand landed on her shoulder. Superman was floating beside her, saying, "You spaced out after mentioning the death part... Are you fine?"
A slow blink was the answer, as Pink realized that she had really dozed off, simply decided to continue. Her gloved hand was raised as a pink construct of earth was formed. The construct floated higher as it increased in size, until it was about five meters...
Pink stared at the construct for a second, before saying, "Diamond essence is used in a complicated process to be injected into suitable planets to create gems..."
A construct of an injector was made, as it multiplied, forming countless smaller ones, and then they all landed on the earth construct.
She turned her gaze to Superman, saying, "Such a process could take centuries. It will create countless gems, but once the process is done..."
The construct above Pink's hand started cracking, as the planet that used to be earth split in half, as the construct cracked more on the edges, as Pink continued, her tone monotone, as if describing a simple process, "The planet dies. All the nutrients and any possibility of the planet to care for organic life is simply gone."
"That is why we call such planets as colonies... They serve the empire, but they all become useless in time... Of course, we don't leave all of them if they still serve any advantages or benefits to the empire."
Superman's and every hero's faces turned serious and grim... With Batman's gaze locked into Pink, as he said, "Earth is your colony?"
It wasn't a question; it was a statement, a very matter-of-fact statement... Pink released a heavy breath, as she said, "Yes... Earth was always my colony... It is my first one, in fact."
"It was nothing personal... We aren't doing this to kill your race or anything... You were merely in the way."
Pink's gaze settled on the pink projection of Earth with a very complicated expression. Pink and her human side both love Earth... For Pink, it was freedom... No, more than that, for Pink Diamond... Earth was the key to the beauty of life.
For her human side, it was much simpler... It was home.
Seeing the tension that settled over the room, Pink raised both her hands in a mock surrender, as she gave a goofy smile, saying,
"Calm down now... Shazam won't be happy about me killing this blue orb of a planet, and well, I consider him a friend, so don't worry... I can find another planet, one without life on it."
"I was considering taking a moon or any non-inhabitable planet in this solar system for the colony."
Superman's smile followed a second later, as he even gave a slightly fatherly-like smile and a nod... Which, honestly, made Pink conflicted...
'Okay, this is slightly weird. Why is he acting like he is proud that his child made a good choice?...'
A flash of red was seen, as the Flash arrived beside Pink, saying, "You know what? You are okay in my book... And, uh... How do I say this, I am sorry for pulling your diamond back then... You know... You were kind of going crazy."
She gave him a thumbs up, saying, "In all honesty... It gave me a time out that helped clear my Diamond... So don't worry about it."
Batman suddenly stood, as his hand moved to his earpiece, as he received a message through the comms...
"Everyone... We have an issue."
[A while later]
"This is ridiculous! If my gems are having issues down there, then I want to help... In fact, Lion can simply teleport them all back up in a few seconds!"
Superman, who had been nagged for the good part of ten minutes, said with a helpless smile, "Pink, I assure you, your gems will be alright... I will make sure of it, so will you calm down?"
Pink was about to snap at Superman in a way that would make Lex Luthor proud, but Batman, from the side, who already had enough, said, "You are mentally unstable... You are childish, you have anger issues, and your powers are a walking apocalyptic event, and you can enter a blind rage in which you are nothing short of a liability."
Each sentence was a direct attack on Pink's ego and self-confidence... That was already nonexistent.
A heavy steps sounded on metal, as Kryptonite-100 stepped forward, knelt on one knee, while forming a diamond shape with her hands, saying, "My Diamond, please... Allow me the honor to be of service, and as the captain of the current Kryptonite gems, I am more than capable of bringing them all back safe, uncracked, and completely accounted for."
Batman, from the side, narrowed his eyes, saying, "This is not a war mission... We will handle this on our own..."
Kryptonite-100 didn't miss a beat, as she answered, "I could not care less for your opinion, organic. If not for my Diamond's unlimited kindness in forgiving your behavior and words, I would have already dealt with you myself..." as the glow in her gem caused Superman, who was trying to meditate, to step back, uncomfortable...
"Enough."... Pink Diamond's gaze locked on Kryptonite-100, saying, "You can go... But you are only allowed to attack in self-defense, or fighting those that are harming my gems... Is that understood?"
Kryptonite-100 nodded, lowering her head, saying, "Yes, my Diamond."
[A few minutes later]
'They were acting like humans would jump at me if they saw me... Has my wanted status become that bad?'
'Well, I did send Kryptonite-100 to bring everyone on the surface back, and since she seemed pretty confident, she should be fine. Not to mention, the League would be around.'
Pink stopped in her tracks, as she finally saw her ship from the Watchtower windows... It was everything any space dreamer ever wanted.
'Mom... I am moving up in life... Sniff!'
"Oh... My!" The biggest and brightest smile made itself unconsciously to Pink's face, as she then turned and pointed to the ship, while looking at Lion.
She was literally jumping in place, her eyes turned to stars of pure excitement, while pointing at the ship, while saying, "Lion, portal to my new ship... Now! Portal!"
"OPEN A PORTAL!"
Lion stared at her in a gaze that conveyed a thousand words of pure disappointment, as he glanced at the ship in jealousy... What was so good with that ship? Can it make portals? And his pink color was way better...
As Lion glanced at the ship with obvious resentment, which was completely ignored by Pink,
Even so, Lion, the great and patient soul he is, decided to entertain his friend, as he huffed, and then roared a portal... Pink bolted through the portal like a train with no brakes,
Which, in turn, made the Lion and the Kryptonites left by K-100 rush after her in small chaos...
[Emerald-108 POV.]
For the last hour, Emerald-108 was moving in small circles in the command room, while asking for any changes from the few Peridots every few minutes.
The four Peridots managing the ship controls were really feeling that the Emerald might just explode from lack of patience... The commander wasn't really the most calm of gems.
"Organics! Waste of energy and matter... I swear, I will! EXTERMINATE every last one of them! If so much as a single crack is on my Diamond's light form! I will make their planet a colony, and once it is nothing but a useless rock, then I will turn it into a massive intergalactic dumpster for faulty gems!"
The Peridots kept flinching, as their Emerald kept using more and more colorful words by the second... The Peridots were all a new batch... This was their very first mission... And they were already regretting everything...
'Everything except managing the mothership... The chance to manage a ship made by White Diamond was still worth it.'
Emerald-108's gaze snapped to them with fire, as they were trying to shuffle away... But before she can snap again, her attention was redirected as a portal opened. At first, she was enraged at the audacity of anyone boarding her Diamond's ship without even being allowed!...
Emerald immediately, with no hesitation whatsoever, slammed her fist on the control panel, activating the weapon system, as four laser guns popped from the walls of the ship...
As Emerald-108 was about to press the emergency button, her gem came to a very fast and very quick halt, as she saw the figure that stepped in...
Once her gaze landed on the Diamond, her body tried to move to salute on memory, decades of perfect service snapping back into place...
But Emerald-108 got snatched into a big hug by a very enthusiastic Diamond, who kept saying words about how adorable and how much she liked having her own Emerald...
Emerald-108's gem simply froze... She expected maybe a good job, or a small, very, very small compliment from her Diamond once the mission succeeded...
But she didn't even know what was going on anymore... This wasn't protocol, this wasn't anything!
She hadn't even introduced herself to her Diamond yet...
And just like that, Emerald-108 will start to learn that her Diamond was very special and different from Yellow Diamond...
Thankfully, the four Peridots, who had hidden themselves behind a pillar to the side as they watched in awe and horror as their Diamond squeezed their Emerald to death...
Gems don't have words like hugs or organic-like affection... The Peridots weren't even sure what was going on; their intellectual gems were analyzing that maybe their new Diamond was going to crush the Emerald for being late, or maybe because she performed less than perfect.
Of course, that was until Pink's eyes landed on them...
"Peridots!" Their Diamond screamed the word with great happiness, as she placed Emerald, whose gem was simply still processing things, on the crystal ground gently...
Before Pink bolted to the Peridots, who screamed, and to even their own shock, started running away, as even tears started running down their faces...
As Pink was chasing the Peridots, Emerald-108 finally snapped back to existence, as Lion and the rest of the Kryptonites came back...
The Kryptonites jumped through the portal, followed by Lion, who looked at the interior of the ship, judging it... As the Kryptonites stopped and turned their gazes to the Peridots running away...
The present Kryptonites and an Emerald watched as their understanding of protocol was broken down...
As for Lion... He simply joined the chase, which made the Peridots scream in terror.

(A/N):AND ! Promise kept!…this is the guft chapter for getting me in the top hundreds…
Now last I checked I reach 51th then 56th on the list as long as I get under 50 that means another gift chapter…Although I admit that it would be with the next week patch..
When I reached 51 while writing this chapter I had a heart attack…I felt like a president promising too much and regretting it when he gets the seat….But so be it as it may! SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK!
So if the gift chapter is added it will be three chapters next week…Anyhow..

And although I didn't answer any comments on last chapter because I was busy but I read them all…
One was questioning why the mc act like pink…Why he is not the same…Because he did that to himself the mc in his fit of anger smacked the barrier the card gave that kept his memories and sense of self between pink and the original human separated….Now the barrier isn't gone but his personality is affected …He still do major decisions as himself but yes he have pink traits now …especially when he isn't actively forcing himself to be 'human'…I hope the explanation made sense
And option A it is …although I will make sure not to prolong secondary fights too long..
