Chapter 25 - David vs Allura End

"Y-your limbs…" Zatara stammered, his voice trembling as his eyes widened in horror. Before him stood David—missing both arms and his left leg, yet still upright on his right leg. Blood poured freely from the torn stumps of his limbs, splattering against the ground in rhythmic bursts, each drop hissing faintly as it hit the earth.

Despite the gruesome sight, David's expression remained calm. He faced Allura with quiet resolve, his posture firm even as his body bled without pause.

"It's alright," David said softly, his tone light and composed. "My life isn't worth much. Yours, on the other hand, is priceless." His gaze shifted toward Zatanna, and his faint smile deepened. "You're still so young… your future is vast, limitless. And you have a father who loves you more than anything."

He gave a small, reassuring nod, as though his own pain were nothing more than a passing inconvenience. "That's beautiful," he added with a gentle smile—a smile that held no regret, only determination. Whatever it took, he would make sure they both survived.

Zatanna opened her mouth to speak, wanting to say something—anything—but before she could, her father grabbed her hand and pulled her away, retreating from the battlefield. That left David alone, standing on a single leg, his body trembling as he forced himself forward with uneven hops.

For a moment, his vision blurred. The world tilted slightly, his head growing light from the sheer amount of blood he had already lost. His body was reaching its limit, yet his will refused to bend. As his gaze drifted, his thoughts flickered toward the memory of his daughter. In that instant, her image overlapped with Zatanna's face… and Zatara's desperate expression behind her.

"I failed to perfect you," David whispered under his breath, voice soft yet steady. "But I will protect them."

The weakness vanished. His dizziness faded in an instant as his resolve reignited, sharper than ever. The ground beneath his feet cracked, splitting apart as waves of energy surged outward. Before Allura's widening eyes, a vibrant green aura erupted around David.

The color—pure, radiant, and powerful—was unmistakable. It was the light of willpower itself. The green from the Green Lantern.

David's body began to reform, the torn flesh glowing with an emerald light. Streams of green energy coiled around him, shaping themselves into solid form until new limbs—an arm, another arm, and a leg—took their place. They shimmered faintly, pulsing with the unyielding power of will. The transformation wasn't just physical; the very air around him grew heavy, trembling beneath the sheer force radiating from his body.

His power skyrocketed. The pressure alone warped the ground beneath his feet, sending cracks spreading outward like spiderwebs.

Before Allura could even comprehend what she was seeing, David vanished. One instant, he stood before her, at his limit. Next, his fist connected with her chin, driving her head violently upward. The impact was cataclysmic.

The clouds above—no, every cloud for miles, for as far as the eye could see—vanished in an instant. The sky cleared as if torn apart by sheer force, a massive column of displaced air following Eldon's body as it was launched skyward. The vessel rocketed into the atmosphere, soaring higher and higher until it broke through the stratosphere, the world below trembling from the blow that had sent it there.

"I can finally rest… It's only been two weeks, but this shit's been a pain," David said with a tired yet satisfied smile, his tone carrying a rare calmness. The green aura around him flared violently, streaking across the sky as he launched himself upward.

He broke through the atmosphere in a blur of emerald light, chasing after Allura's rapidly ascending form. The air rippled in his wake, the sound barrier shattering beneath him as he clenched his glowing fist. Every ounce of his willpower surged into that single strike, the emerald energy crackling and condensing around his arm until it hummed like thunder.

Then, he struck.

Boom!

The explosion of force was beyond anything David had ever unleashed before. The shockwave rippled through the vacuum of space, shaking satellites out of orbit and lighting up the edge of the atmosphere. Allura's body was hurled forward like a comet, her form blazing as she sped toward the blazing surface of the sun.

Even as her body regenerated, burning away and reforming in a maddening cycle, she fought to slow her descent. But before she could escape, David appeared again—faster than her healing, faster than thought itself. Blow after devastating blow crashed into her, each one stronger than the last, forcing her closer and closer to the sun's roaring surface.

With one final, earth-shaking blow, Allura's defiant scream echoed through the void—raw, unwilling, and filled with disbelief—as her body was consumed by the sun's blinding fury. Her form disintegrated within seconds, erased completely beneath the overwhelming heat and gravity. The battle was over.

David floated there, not even bothering to try and return to earth… what was a better place to rest than here? The lack of air began clawing at his lungs; even if he did everything in his power to return to earth, he was just too far and too weak to return, so this was how he was going to die.

His willpower had kept him conscious through blood loss and broken limbs, but even he couldn't ignore the simple truth—his body still needed to breathe.

Just as the darkness began to close in, a streak of light approached. To his surprise, Supergirl appeared before him, her golden hair flowing freely in the weightless void. She stopped only inches away.

Without hesitation, she pointed at her mouth, then at his, before gesturing to his chest—simple, clear instructions. David gave a faint nod and focused, using his willpower to strengthen his lungs. Seeing that, Supergirl reached forward and closed the distance between them, pressing her lips to his as she began mouth-to-mouth.

As Supergirl performed mouth-to-mouth, she was suddenly struck by the sheer potency radiating from David's body. His energy was overwhelming—his testosterone levels off the charts to the point of defying logic. It was the kind of raw, primal intensity that couldn't be explained unless he'd been pumped full of heavy steroids or something even stronger.

For a brief moment, she felt her heartbeat quicken from the sheer force of it, but before anything else could happen, David broke the contact, gently pushing her back.

He gave her a grateful nod, a silent acknowledgment of her help, before turning his focus inward. A frown crossed his face as he realized something was wrong—he couldn't activate the Reverse Cursed Technique. The energy simply wouldn't respond, still sealed away.

Confused, David slowly turned his gaze toward the blazing sun… and his eyes narrowed. From within the inferno, he could see it—Allura's soul, rocketing straight toward him with terrifying speed. He smirked, ready to kick her ass again.

Supergirl's eyes widened in alarm as she saw the burning soul racing toward them, its energy tearing through the light of the sun like a streak of darkness. But before it could reach them, a surge of golden brilliance illuminated the void.

From within that radiant light, Doctor Fate emerged, his voice echoing in their minds rather than the air. With a wave of his hand, a shimmering sigil expanded outward, enveloping Allura's soul. In an instant, the entity let out a distorted scream before being pulled away, banished to whatever realm she came from.

"I'm sorry I'm late. I wasn't in this dimension," Doctor Fate said evenly. David, still floating in place, lifted his hand and gave him a casual thumbs-up with the hand that was made out of willpower.

With that, Doctor Fate raised his hand, and a golden circle of runes flared to life beneath them. In the next instant, the three vanished from space and reappeared high above Earth before gently descending toward solid ground.

The moment his boots touched the earth, David took a deep, steady breath. Air rushed into his lungs like fire, and with a thought, he activated the Reverse Cursed Technique. Instantly, his body began to heal—the torn muscles reknit, the burned skin smoothed, and the lingering damage vanished as if it had never existed… even the sea of blood he had lost was restored.

He exhaled slowly, rolling his shoulders as strength returned to his limbs. "That was one hell of a battle," David said with a tired but genuine smile. "Thanks for saving my butt. I owe you two."

"No need for all that. It was just the right thing to do," Supergirl said quickly, her tone calm but her eyes darting away. She tried to maintain her composure, though the situation was undeniably awkward—David stood there in nothing but his underwear. His muscles, still flexing and relaxing after the fight, kept shifting beneath his skin, and the stretched fabric looked seconds away from giving up entirely. He had to hold them up with one hand just to keep them from slipping.

Adding the whole kiss… well... it was just awkward, mainly thanks to the fact that after Vector words to her last time, in a way she saw him as a parent... just for her to go ahead and kiss her.

"Same here," Doctor Fate added, "But you should be careful. The main reason I knew of your trouble was because of Allura's words—your ability to tap into the emotional spectrum without a ring… that isn't normal."

Then, with a brief nod, Doctor Fate turned toward the sky and disappeared in a flash of golden light,

[A/N: Honestly, at times I feel like MC is too strong, or am I glazing? I try to use feats Yujiro has done before and has been showing, while taking into account curse energy and such. Yujiro grows stronger every day, surpassing himself, and so on. Am I glazing? Saturo seems to be nerfed here, but Yujiro should be stronger than Toji, plus more skilled. I mean, what anime has better martial arts than the Baki verse? Ultra Instincts? The guys have their own version of self-movement.

Here is a short list of everything Yujiro should do. Baki and Yujiro, since they should be able to do everything the other can do.

Ability Copy: Baki and his father can mimic any martial arts technique after seeing it once. There is no limit to this.

Willpower: Baki and his father have powerful willpower. After dying, Baki projected his willpower to bring himself back to life. Baki also replicated this ability again during his fight with his father

Limited Subjective Reality: Baki has shown shadowing box against beings he's imagined so intensely that he suffers actual physical damage from their attacks

Limited Perception Manipulation: Baki created a triceratops that felt so real that Nomi no Sukune II believed he was actually fighting one, and even asked if Baki was a sorcerer, and when performed on Yujiro, a crowd of several thousand people could all perceive it as though it were real.

Information Analysis: Yujiro can detect the physical conditions and weaknesses of a person with 100% accuracy by glancing at them.

Analytical Prediction: Yujiro predicts the entire outcome of a fight just by looking at a fighting stance, and blocked an attack he specifically says he couldn't see.

Extrasensory Perception: Yujiro can sense Baki's fighting spirit from ~8,000 miles away,

Fear Manipulation: (Yujiro's aura incites fear at the cellular level, and can passively incite fear in even a hardened veteran soldier. This goes as far as making fighters feel as though they're being stabbed

Minor Madness Manipulation: Yujiro caused three soldiers to indulge in madness with his aura; the human body instinctively detects Yujiro as a threat

Information Analysis Resistances: When Baki attempted to shadowbox against an imaginary Yujiro based on his analysis of him, which was stronger than the original, Baki could not even imagine a version of Yujiro as strong as the real one

There are more, like how Yujiro, when he cooks, compresses the air, how Yujiro's aura alone shook a whole skyscraper, and so on.. So am I glazing? I feel like I'm nerfing him, since with Yujiro's talent, David should be able to copy any curse technique that is in Satoru's mind, since he has all of Satoru's experience, meaning his experience with facing other curse techniques came with it.

At the beginning of the story, when MC was about to break out of his prison, you know the moment in the future. That was going to be him using another curse technique that Satoru never used. So, let me ask you guys, should MC be limited to the Limitless, curse energy, and martial arts, or what?
