With Samantha's promise, Liam could only go back to his room and lay on the bed, looking at the roof sighing continuously.
He didn't even have the energy to send or call Sonia. He was afraid that he would expose himself and she will start overthinking. With such fear overwhelming him, he guiltily turned off his phone without looking at the unread messages. He would check them tomorrow and talk to her when his mind and heart stabilized.
With that, another day ended, but he didn't sleep well at all. He kept on seeing his mother at odds with Sonia after his death and it wasn't exactly pleasing to see.
The next day, Liam thought that his mother would have calmed down and that they could speak, but the woman's anger hadn't subsided at all but only increased.
She didn't even bother to talk to him but gave him a cold shoulder which broke his heart and made him start wondering things.
