Chapter 68 - The Red Moon Approaches.

The next morning, sunlight poured gently through the tall crystal windows of Zephyria's royal chamber. The soft breeze carried the scent of moonflowers and the far-off hum of the kingdom awakening.

Josephine stood by the window, her gown a flowing white silk that shimmered faintly with silver embroidery. Xavi stood behind her, his strong hands resting on her stomach. His touch was tender, protective — reverent.

He pressed gentle kisses against her neck, her shoulder, her jaw, whispering, "I love you so much…" between each breath.

Josephine smiled, resting her hand over his, feeling the warmth of his love through every heartbeat.

"I love you more," she wrote silently on a slip of paper near the window, showing it to him with a teasing smile.

He chuckled, hugging her tightly from behind, refusing to let go. His happiness was overflowing — pure and unguarded.

Then, the door creaked open.

"Good morning, Papa and Mama!" came a tiny, cheerful voice.

Adris stood at the door, hair messy from sleep, holding a bouquet of little wildflowers he had picked from the garden.

Both parents turned toward him, smiling brightly.

Adris bowed dramatically, making Josephine giggle. "Here, Mama," he said proudly, handing her the flowers. "One for you, and one for my baby!" He gently patted her stomach.

Josephine's eyes shimmered with love. She knelt, kissed his cheek softly, and he erupted in a fit of loud, happy giggles.

A knock sounded at the chamber door again. Mrs. Ruby and Therodora entered, followed closely by Hendrick's family, callum, and Tess.

"Jojo! I have great news for you!" Tess shouted as she ran across the room.

"Be careful, love!" Noah called after her.

Josephine's eyes widened in joy, rushing forward despite Xavi's halfhearted attempt to stop her. "Tess!" she wrote excitedly as she jumped into her friend's arms.

"Jojo!" came another voice — Nyx, pulling Josephine into a tight embrace.

They clung to each other, laughing, their joy echoing through the marble hall.

"We're pregnant!" Tess and Nyx said at once, their eyes glowing with happiness.

Josephine gasped and quickly made a sign, writing with bright eyes, "Me too!"

All three women screamed together, jumping up and down in giddy delight. Their laughter filled the room like music.

"All right, all right! Chill!" Callum groaned with a grin.

"I want a baby too…" Therodora whispered under her breath.

Her wife Ruby heard her immediately, raising a brow. "Oh? Do you now?" she said with a smirk.

Therodora looked away, pretending she hadn't said a thing, while Ruby folded her arms with a sly smile.

Later in the afternoon, Xoni sat alone in her chamber, surrounded by glowing candles. She was casting a spell on herself — her hands glowing gold as she whispered ancient incantations. Suddenly, she winced, a sharp pain twisting through her lower body. Her eyes glowed yellow.

Then she smirked faintly and stood up, shaking off the sensation. "Perfect," she muttered, before heading to prepare for Anesthesia's birthday dinner.

At the same time, Sienna was in the healing room, reviewing the women's magical test results. She smiled as she looked up from her notes.

"Josephine is six months pregnant," she said cheerfully. "Tess is seven, and Nyx is five."

The ladies all giggled in excitement — all except Josephine, who simply smiled quietly, her hand resting over her stomach.

"Melantha! Melantha!" Kael shouted, searching the castle halls.

"Still not found her?" Darius asked.

Kael sighed. "No. That girl—"

Before he could finish, Melantha walked in, yawning and stretching. "What's with all the noise, brother?" she muttered sleepily.

"Where the hell were you?" Kael asked, exasperated.

"Sorry, brother. I fell asleep somewhere… with a friend. I'm still sleepy now," she said lazily, collapsing onto the couch. Within moments, she was fast asleep again.

Kael sighed, covering her with a blanket. From the balcony above, Maelkor watched her silently — his expression unreadable. He turned away and left.

By nightfall, the moon rose silver over Zephyria. In their chamber, Therodora sat on the bed, arms crossed, staring at the wall.

The door opened with a soft click. Ruby entered, leaning against the frame. "Dora, sweetheart," she said softly.

Therodora didn't reply.

Ruby closed the door quietly, then crossed the room. In a single swift motion, she pinned her wife gently against the bed and smiled down at her.

"Dora…" Ruby whispered, her voice low, teasing.

Their eyes met — and Ruby kissed her, slow and deep.

Therodora sighed and gave in, wrapping her arms around Ruby's neck as their tension melted into warmth hug as she kissed her deeply taking there clothes off as Ruby sipped her fingers into Therodora pussy rubbing her and finger fucking her Ahh….she said moaning There we go Ruby said sucking her boobs P…pls fuck me ~Mommy~ Therodora said as Ruby who was a Futa took out her large cock and slip it inside her wife pussy She moan softly and Ruby went slowly at first Faster Therodora said Of course my sweet baby Ruby said as she throbbing faster pounding her leaving bite marks on her breasts as Therodora grip was on the orange sheet Ruby turned her round grab her legs up as the sound of her ass clapping Mommy pls give me the milk please....Therodora said cutely moan Yes love mommy will as ruby milk filled Her G-spot her eyes rolled back while her legs tremble.

The next morning came with crimson light bleeding across the horizon. Sienna was in the royal chamber, injecting a healing serum and blood infusion into Josephine's arm. Xavi sat beside her, holding her hand tightly, rubbing her fingers softly as she slept.

"The Red Moon is coming, King Xavi," Maelkor said gravely from the doorway. "The cage and chains are almost done."

Xavi's jaw tightened as he looked at his sleeping wife — the woman who had already sacrificed so much. "We'll be ready," he murmured.

From behind them, Melantha yawned loudly, rubbing her eyes.

"Melantha?" Xavi said.

She blinked sleepily and opened her arms to hug her big brother — but instead stumbled into Maelkor's chest.

"Mmm… brother, why's your chest so hard like a rock, hm?" she mumbled drowsily.

The room went quiet.

"Melantha!" Severin hissed.

Xavi gave them a sharp hand signal — Don't say a word. Everyone stayed quiet, trying not to laugh.

A moment later, Piere entered with his husband Raden, both smiling wide.

"Jojo, sweetie!" Piere said as he hurried to Josephine, hugging her tightly.

"Congratulations, Jojo," Raden said kindly.

Josephine smiled softly, hugging them both. She was glowing, peaceful, and happy as she lifted Adris into her lap and began feeding him small bites of food.

"No, no, no, Mama," Adris said firmly, floating slightly with his little chair. "You sit — I'll feed you!"

He scooped up a spoonful of food, gently guiding it toward her mouth while everyone laughed in delight.

Then, Anesthesia came down the stairs in a flowing blue gown.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANESTHESIA!" everyone shouted together.

Xoni ran to her wife, kissing her lovingly. "Happy birthday, my love," she whispered.

Anesthesia beamed, hugging her tightly as everyone clapped and cheered.

Later that afternoon, Josephine sat on her throne, glowing in royal splendor. The court doors opened, and Kara ran in with Oliver beside her.

"Jojo!" Kara cried, hugging Josephine tightly. "Congratulations, love!"

"Thank you," Josephine signed with a bright smile.

Oliver smiled too, gently bowing.

The family gathered around the grand table for lunch, laughter filling the room again — until Josephine and Kara suddenly froze mid-laughter.

A strange red shimmer crossed Josephine's eyes. Her breathing changed — quick, shallow, dangerous.

Xavi's heart dropped.

"Jojo?" he whispered.

But she only smirked. The red glow deepened — her pupils sharp like blades.

Then, in one swift motion, Josephine lunged straight at Xavi, her strength shocking even Maelkor. The entire table overturned as guards rushed in.

"Now!" Maelkor shouted, summoning the Gem of Restraint — the very same one forged to hold her power.

The glowing red chains coiled around Josephine, wrapping her and Kara, who had also begun to lose control. Both women struggled violently as the family scrambled back.

Xavi managed to pin Josephine down, panting. "It's okay, love — it's me," he said softly.

She hissed — and bit his shoulder hard enough to draw blood.

"Ouch!" he gasped.

Kara snarled, thrashing wildly. "LET US GO!" she screamed, her voice layered with dark energy.

Oliver's face twisted in heartbreak.

"I'm sorry… but no," Maelkor said coldly, tightening the magical bind.

Kara laughed bitterly through her rage. "You'll regret this…"

Maelkor's eyes flashed blue. "Separation spell"

He cast the ancient magic in an instant — a blinding light ripping through the air. Kara stumbled back, gasping as the dark energy in her body split apart from Josephine's.

She looked up, breathing hard. "A separation spell, huh?"

Maelkor nodded grimly.

Josephine's red eyes still glowed, her body straining against the chains as the curse within her raged.

"The Red Moon rises tomorrow," Maelkor said, turning to the family. "The cage is done. We need to leave Zephyria — now."

Everyone rushed to pack their things as Xavi lifted Josephine carefully into his arms. Her strength had faded — she was exhausted, unconscious once more.

Back in their chamber, Adris climbed onto the bed, tears welling in his eyes. He kissed her cheek softly.

"Get well soon, Mama," he whispered, curling beside her and holding her hand as she slept.

The night outside glowed red — a sign that the Red Moon was almost here.

And in Zephyria, silence fell.
