Chapter 1 - Part 1: Darkness and Light

In a world where magic is feared and revered, Star, a 17-year-old boy with black hair and haunting eyes, possesses a rare and dangerous gift-the power of darkness.

Born with the ability to manipulate minds through black magic, he was raised in isolation by a mysterious figure known only as Master, who taught him that manipulation is the only way to interact with others.

Star's childhood was filled with loneliness. All he ever wanted was friends, people who would play with him, talk to him, and stay by his side. But whenever he tried to interact normally, his awkwardness made people uneasy.

His unnatural aura turned him into an outcast, and the world saw him as a creep.

So, he resorted to what he knew best-black magic. By weaving manipulative spells, he forced people to obey him, creating an illusion of friendship.

His power ensured loyalty, but deep inside, he remained unsatisfied. His "friends" were hollow, their smiles forced, their laughter empty.

Yet, under his master's orders, he continued luring more and more people into his control, expanding his circle of "companions."

Each step through the crowded streets felt like stepping on glass — sharp glances cutting deeper than knives. People whispered about him, their gazes filled with suspicion and fear. So, he adapted-sticking to alleyways, hiding in the shadows, waiting for the perfect target.

Whenever someone walked alone, he would strike, binding their will with his dark magic, making them his next "friend."

His master watched with satisfaction, encouraging him to bring more souls under his influence. Star followed obediently, believing in his master's words-that this was the only way he could ever connect with others. Yet, deep down, a question gnawed at him.

Why do I still feel so empty?

For years, Star continued his grim routine until he turned 17. Find. Manipulate. Control. Each new "friend" earned him a reward-food, the only comfort his master ever provided. It was a simple exchange: obedience for survival.

Whenever the number of "friends" reached ten, the master would take the extra ones away. "I'm setting them free," he would say. "They've served their purpose, and as a reward for their time with you, I grant them freedom."

Star never questioned it. He simply nodded, emotionless as always. He never asked where they went. He never asked why they never returned.

To him, they weren't real friends anyway. They were just shadows-temporary, disposable. His master was the only constant in his life, the only one who understood him.

The cycle never changed.

Star lived by his master's rules.

"Never go out during the day."

"Monsters lurk in the sunlight," his master warned. "They will see you, hunt you, and take you away."

So, Star only moved at night. He slinked through the alleyways, hidden from the world, seeking new 'friends' to bring home. Not for companionship but to survive.

His master had made it clear: "If you don't bring new friends, you don't eat."

His "friends," bound by black magic, filled his home like lifeless puppets. He spoke to them, shared stories of his life, recounted the things his master had taught him.

They never responded. They never laughed, never cried. They only obeyed. But to Star, this was normal. This was life.

Each time his collection reached ten, his master took the extras away, promising they would be "set free." He wanted to ask. But questions led to punishment. Silence was safer. He had no reason to.

Meanwhile... in a bustling city...

A different kind of life unfolded. Aliana, a 15-year-old girl with white hair, walked cheerfully through the crowded streets with her friends. She radiated energy, laughter, and warmth-everything Star had never known.

Today was a special trip, a day of excitement and adventure. As the sun shone brightly above, she ran ahead of her friends, her heart full of dreams and curiosity.

But fate had already begun pulling the strings.

Two lives-one bathed in darkness, the other glowing in light-were about to collided.
