Chapter 1 - 1: A Nuclear Supercar Right From the Start

Leon felt downright miserable.

He worked as a mechanic in an auto repair shop. During one repair job, a tire suddenly exploded without warning.

With a deafening boom, his body was blown into the air, and everything went dark.

When he woke up again, he was lying inside an unfamiliar garage.

A burst tire.

Rusty screws.

Oil-stained wrenches.

A mess of scattered tools.

The place was littered with them.

The building itself was made of wood, and the walls were covered with automobile repair equipment.

Slowly, Leon pushed himself off the floor, his expression puzzled.

Where… is this place?

How did I suddenly end up here?

He was completely baffled.

"Welcome to the world of Passion and Speed." A strange voice echoed in his mind.

"Who's there?!" Leon snapped to attention, his eyes darting around warily.

But the room was empty. There was no one but him.

"I am the Hyper Modification System, existing inside your mind. You may think of me as a bio-chip."

"How the hell did you get into my head?" Leon exclaimed in shock.

He clearly remembered being killed by the exploding tire. By all rights, he should already be a corpse.

So why was he alive and well?

He patted his body. No injuries, no pain.

His bones felt solid, his flesh reacted when he pinched himself—he even felt pain. Clearly, he wasn't a ghost.

Did this mean he had… been reborn? Or even… transmigrated?

"Correct. It was I who revived you and brought you into the world of Passion and Speed." The Hyper Modification System stated bluntly.

According to it, Leon had indeed died in his original world, blown apart by that tire.

It was this system that resurrected him and transferred him here.

Leon froze, then sighed softly. "I don't think I can do anything about this."

"I don't need what you think. I need what I think."

The system suddenly adopted the domineering tone of an overbearing CEO. "You possess the potential of a Car God. Activating…"

At once, Leon's eyelids grew unbearably heavy, as though he hadn't slept for days. His whole body went weak, his mind foggy.

The state lasted for over a minute.

When he finally returned to normal, he looked down at his own hands in disbelief.

It was as if he had transformed into a true Car God. Every component of an automobile was now crystal-clear in his mind.

Engines—brands, flaws, advantages—he understood them all at a glance.

Modding cars, building cars—child's play.

As for racing techniques—trivial.

He really had changed!

"Congratulations, you have awakened the Car God bloodline. Newbie Gift Pack unlocked: Level +1, one nuclear-powered supercar."

As the voice faded, a sleek supercar appeared in the center of the garage.

The body was forged from titanium alloy and carbon fiber, gleaming silver-gray. Its lines were fierce and untamed, exuding dominance.

The doors opened upward, but not like ordinary scissor-doors—they flared back with even more swagger.

Hundreds of diamonds sparkled on the LED headlights, while golden thread lined the luxurious seats.

It was insanely cool.

"This is…?" Leon's eyes lit up as he rushed over, instinctively opening the door and slipping into the driver's seat.

The steering wheel resembled a fighter jet's control stick, with twin wings extending from either side.

As soon as he sat down, the instruments lit up, humming to life.

Behind the wheel, a split-screen display showed speed, power output, temperature, tire pressure—everything.

With just a tap, the interface could change: from futuristic sci-fi mode, to a mechanical Transformers-style, to a bright youthful design.

The center console rose up, revealing a massive fifty-inch screen stretching across the dashboard.

Even the gearshift had been replaced by touchscreen controls.

S, D, N, R, P—switch between them with a tap.

For those who hated automatics, there was even a manual mode.

It was pure, unadulterated cool.

"Damn…" Leon's eyes practically glowed. He fell in love with the car at first sight.

"This vehicle is powered by nuclear energy. Maximum speed: 700 kilometers per hour. Infinite range."

Leon froze.

A high-speed rail train's top speed was under 500 km/h. Even commercial jets only flew at 700 to 1000 km/h.

And this car hit 700 km/h—comparable to an airplane!

"Awesome!!" Leon shouted in excitement.

Compared to ordinary race cars or supercars, this thing was a guided missile. It could leave them hundreds of miles behind—utterly untouchable!

And the best part? It ran on a nuclear fusion engine!

No radiation, no nuclear waste. One fuel load meant infinite mileage. Drive it until it breaks down, and it would still never need refueling.

Too awesome!

"This system comes with its own store. Beyond engines, you can also purchase a vibranium chassis, anti-gravity tires, ultra-intelligent onboard systems, and more. As long as you have money, you can buy anything."

Nuclear power was only the beginning. Countless upgrades awaited.

The ultimate fulfillment of every man's supercar fantasy.

"Open the store!" Leon's breath quickened.

At once, a blue panel unfolded in his mind. From chassis to body, from headlights to screws—every single component was listed.

But the prices were steep.

Replacing the chassis alone cost one million. And that was just average.

The best-performing chassis ran up to a hundred million.

If you had enough money, you could buy a brand-new car outright—starting at a hundred million, with top models exceeding a billion.

"Where the hell am I supposed to get that kind of money?" Leon wailed.

"Do not worry, Host. This system will assign missions. Complete them, and you will earn vast sums of money."

The system's words opened a door to a brand-new future.

Maybe… this wasn't so bad after all.
