Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 – Whispers in the Hallway

[Scene 1 – Morning, School Gate]

The atmosphere is heavy. Claws' name is on everyone's lips. Some students whisper, others watch from afar with suspicion.

Student 1 (whispering): "That's the friend of that gang guy… did you see him on TV yesterday?"

Student 2: "Yeah… they say he almost died. But who messes with a delinquent?"

Student 3: "Shhh! Speak quietly, his group is coming."

Isa, Rafaela, Lucas, Diego, and Matheus enter together. The hallway parts for them; everyone watches. Isa lifts her chin, not lowering her head. Rafaela, still shaken, bites her lips to keep from exploding.

---

[Scene 2 – Classroom]

The teacher tries to start the lesson, but the chatter doesn't stop.

Teacher: "Quiet, class! Let's begin the lesson."

Student in the back: "Wait… aren't you going to ask about Claws? Is he coming back or in jail?"

The room erupts in nervous laughter. Isa suddenly stands up.

Isa (shouting): "SHUT UP! He's in the hospital, almost dead, and you're making jokes?!"

Silence falls immediately. The teacher doesn't interfere but looks concerned. Rafaela grabs Isa by the arm to calm her down.

[Scene 3 – Break, School Courtyard]

The group gathers at a distant table. Matheus seems more serious than usual.

Matheus: "It's over. The whole school knows. If Claws comes back, they'll treat him like a criminal."

Lucas: "But he's not. He only joined because of his family."

Diego: "That won't change anything for the others. To them, he's just another gang member."

Rafaela (biting her lip, emotional): "I don't care what they say. If he comes back, I'll be by his side."

Isa: "Me too. Anyone who doesn't like it can get out of the way."

The four look at Matheus, who takes a deep breath.

Matheus: "Then that's it. If Claws is our friend… we'll carry the weight with him too."

---

[Scene 4 – Atmosphere at School]

As they talk, the camera "moves" through the courtyard:

Some students whisper, others take photos secretly, sending them in messaging groups.

Teachers talk in corners, worried about the school's image.

The principal calls the attention of some monitors, increasing security at the entrance.

The tension is palpable: street violence is creeping into the school walls.

---

[Final Scene]

The group looks at the main gate. A black car stops outside; two figures lean against it, watching. No one enters—but the message is clear.

Isa (clenching her fists): "They're watching."

Matheus (looking serious): "The war won't stay outside… it's coming here too."
