He was a dark spirited person, a careless toxic playboy, who was good at playing his game, until cupid shot right through his chest and caught his heart. His upbringing wasn't the nicest, he grew up with issues, in which he couldn't deal with, instead he used girls and flings as his coping mechanism but little did he know that his bad habits he would build imperfections around his character.
On the morning of 8 February 2023, he did his usual morning routine and got ready for school, as soon as he stepped into a taxi, the sky poured down a heavy rain, and 30 minutes later, after his ride to school, the streets were flooded, the start of his day wasn't looking good for him.
It was around 7:45 and 8am when he walked into his first class of the day, there were less than 10 of his classmates in that room, he walked straight to the back of the class, at this point, he is soaking wet from his grey hoody down to his brown sneakers.
He then takes a seat and as he looks around the classroom, his eyes catch a glimpse of a beautiful face in the third table from the front row, a girl sitting by herself, with her eyes glued to her phone, somehow Teddy felt inclined to introduce himself to this beautiful girl.
I don't think that's a good idea but he's a very impulsive guy, so here he is, taking off his wet hoody, he's now left with a white shirt and everything else he had on, he walks towards this girl's table and then he leans closer to her, "Hi", he says, she replies shortly with "Hi", she still hasn't taken her eyes off her phone.
He realizes that she's reading a novel, he steals her attention for a moment when he says, "I don't mean to interrupt you, what's your name?", "Loveness", she says, he can tell in her accent that she isn't from the town, his curiosity wins him over again, so he asks, "Where are you from?", she puts her phone down and she replies, "KwaZulu-Natal".
Thus far, all I can tell about Loveness is that she reads novels, she's a beautiful girl with a caramel skin, beautiful eyes and a soothing low pitch voice.
Teddy makes up a story that he needs pictures of some of her school work because he "missed" the last lesson, she sends it to him quickly and then he leaves her alone for the rest of the day.

The next day, after their third class of the day, he saw her walking out of the classroom with her friend, he rushed to her before she could disappear from his sight, "Loveness, can I talk to you for a moment?", he says, her friend walks away from her and now they are left all alone. "I was wondering if I could get your number..", he says it as if it didn't need a bit of a conversation to lead up to it, she says "Okay", in a tone that says, "What kind of person asks for a number like this?". Teddy hands his phone over to her, she takes it and types in her number.
And that is the moment his life began to take a turn..
10 February, Friday.
She had quickly left after the last class, he texted her and told her there's a meeting at school, she told him that she is at the store next to the school, eating lunch, she asked him to come tell her about the meeting after.
He went to her shortly after the meeting, here he is walking towards the apple of his eye, she is wearing blue denim jeans, a black hoody, she's eating up the food as if it's the best food she has ever had, he sat down in her table. "Hey, how are you?", he says, taking a deep breath but his adoration for this girl is written all over his eyes, "I'm well, how are you?", she responds in her soothing voice, he takes a moment to himself because there's a lot of people where she was sitting and he wasn't a fan of crowded places, so he said, "Can we go somewhere else?", she puts her food in the bag and then they stand up, walking away from the crowd.
"Let's go to the class, I wanna talk to you, if you're not busy", he says, looking at her as if he sees the most beautiful flower in a garden of love, she's still shy to look at him in the eyes, so she just says "Okay, no problem", without looking at him. He walks into the third classroom and he grabs the first chair, she walks in after him but she grabs a chair that's behind him, she's clearly nervous to even sit next to him, he chuckles and says, "Please come sit right here, next to me".
She pulled a chair close to him and sat right next to him, "Last night.. you said we should be friends", he says with a smile, "Yes I did", she replies, he laughs and says, "I get where that comes from, especially when you just met me but I want us to be more than friends", and with immediate shock, she gasps with a surprised look on her face, "What, so you don't wanna be friends with me?", she asks. He looks at her and says, "Uhm, no, I don't wanna be your friend".
I guess his intentions didn't include him being just friends with this beautiful girl..
She got quiet for a moment, her phone rang, she picked it up and talked to the phone, when the call ended, she stood up and he said, "You gotta leave?", she replies quickly with "Yes", he grabs his phone and his bag, "Let me walk you out".
