Chapter 9 - Confrontation

The smell of coffee waffled through the air as Andrea shot the man in front of her a small smile.

The sun peeking from the windows giving Andrea's olive toned skin a warm glow.

"Andrea has told me so much about you" The man said,a toothy smile appeared on his lips as he took a sip from his coffee

"I hope they're all good things"Andrea shot him another smile, pulling the loose strands of her blonde hair behind her ear

There was one thing Andrea hated more than over pampered, over privileged billionaires and that was injustice.

Injustice was everything mr Jackson showed her in his office on Monday.

She was accused wrongly and mr Jackson didn't give her the chance to explain, instead,he had her carried out of the school premises warning her never to return.

As she was carried, she watched students laugh and whisper while most of the teachers just watched with a sad expression on their faces.

Andrea was disgraced, humiliated and she won't let it go until she gets to the bottom of what really happened.

Why did Andrea tell mr Jackson lies about her?

Why did Andrea accuse her of something like that?

What was her gain?

Did someone make her do it?

Those were questions that kept playing in Andrea's head with no answers but today was the day she was finally going to get her answers.

It's been four days after the incident and she has wasted her time sending countless emails to principal Jackson trying to explain herself but she didn't get a reply.

It all makes no sense,Andrea Walton is her brightest student and she has showered her with so much love.

Why would she accuse her?

Someone must have put her up to it,that's the only logical explanation but who?

Who will put a child up for throwing accusations of harassment?

The man in front of her looks shabby and unkept,if the facial familiarity between him and Andrea was not so obvious she would have never imagined him to be her father.

Andrea was a smart girl with exceptional looks, she was one of the most beautiful with her tanned skin, sleepy gray eyes and her brown hair, which was always packed into neat pigtails. She always wore a bright smile on her beautiful face.

Andrea is still finding it hard to believe, the man in front of her is Andrea's father.

He looked like one of those creeps that tries to get into little girls panties.

His clothes were dirty, his dark hair dusty and his brown eyes looks like they haven't been closed in weeks. She could smell the alcohol brewing from his breath.

She reached out to him through the teacher's email,Mr Jackson fired her but he didn't take away her laptop or textbooks which she is grateful for because if he did,she won't have been able to reach Mr Walton,Andrea's father.

"I know what this is all about,my girl,Andrea told me everything"

"Sir,I would never do such a thing"

"I know"

"You've to believe me,I'm not that kind of person and I'm straight"Andrea explained as realization kicked in

"Wait, you know?" Andrea asked in shock

"Andrea was bribed to say all what she did" he confessed

Bribed? Andrea knew it,she knew something was wrong somewhere but who will bribe a child to lay false accusations on her?

"By who?" Andrea asked, her eyes filled with desperation as she waited for an answer,an answer that would determine her next steps.

"That information can't be disclosed,I'm sorry miss"

"Can't you see this is wrong? I lost my job because of your daughter's little stunt"Andrea stated, frustration creeping into her tone

Lucas took a long sip of his coffee and looked back to the woman seated in front of him.

She was quite a sight, the sun made her skin glow as her deep blue eyes scanned his for an answer, he couldn't give.

He really wants to help but he can't ,if he tells her the truth, his daughter may get expelled and lose her scholarship and he can't let that happen.

That school makes his sweet girl happy and he sees potential in her eyes,he can't ruin her future.

"Andrea is a kid,she was bribed and influenced, you could get a job somewhere else"Lucas suggested earning himself a glare from Andrea.

This was one of those rare times,Andrea wished, she learnt kun fu because she would have thrown this man in front of her a hard punch to the face, for the rubbish that just came out of his mouth.

"Listen to yourself,I lost my freaking job because of that brat and you think getting a new one will solve my problems, well, look around, where is an undergraduate, who was an English major going to get a job?" Andrea yelled, her face going red in rage as she glared at the ragged man in front of her.

People turned their gazes to them

"Reduce your voice, people are starting to stare" Lucas tried to reason with her but she was too far gone to listen, her anger had already taken over.

"Reduce my voice?" Andrea asked, laughing sarcastically.

"The only thing that was reduced to nothing was my dignity,I was humiliated, accused of something I didn't do and you're telling me to reduce my voice? If you would just do your job as a father than maybe your brat of a daughter won't need to accept bribes to lay accusations on innocent people. Look at you, you're more of a drunk than a father" Andrea snapped angrily.

Whispers took over the silence as everyone's gaze in the restaurant was fixed on them.

Andrea knew she was too harsh but this man in front of her was not ready to reason with her.

Life had been unfair to her.

After her parents divorce, she was forced to move with her aunty, who treated her like dirt.

It was the typical story of how relatives treated other relatives children.

She was used as a maid and fed poorly.

One thing that kept her going were the holidays, every holiday, she would seat outside the porch in the cold snow waiting for her mother or father's car to drive through but that never happened.

Her hope thinned out and she decided to stop hoping for something that would never happen.

her parents never called or checked up on her, they forgot all about her and she decided to do the same.

If her own parents didn't care about her,why should she care about them?

At the age of 17,she got a job, saved up some money and went to college, that's where she met her best friend, charlotte.

She moved to L.A after college, after a year of struggling to secure a job,she finally got a job in crown high and now she lost her only source of income because of Andrea.

Even though, the pay was extra small,it still helped her pay few bills and rent but now that the job is gone, how would she able to afford anything?

"Watch your tone"Lucas yelled back, his jaw clenched tightly.

Lucas knew he hasn't been the best father but hearing it from this woman,in front of him made him boil in anger.

He always tried to give his children the life he couldn't have.

Sure, his addiction to liquor and gambling got in the way but he is trying to be better.

He is going to therapy and trying to fix himself so who does this woman think she is to judge him?

"And if I don't? What're you going to do huh? Get your brat of a daughter to spread another lie?" Andrea uttered bitterly, her voice growing louder than his

"You bitch"Lucas spat angrily

Fueled by anger,Lucas raised his hand aiming to slap Andrea but had his hand forcefully pulled away

A muscular body blocked Andrea's petite frame, facing Lucas

"We meet again,brother"
