"I'm sorry," Jodi mumbled, casting her head down.
"What for?"
"I'm so sorry Nara. I shouldn't have said the things I said that night."
"Like I said…"
Shaking her head as she interrupted me. "Please, let me say this. Please, you asked me to give you a chance to hear you out that evening and I did. So, please, let me do this, please."
There really wasn't any point to this conversation because my answer wasn't going to change. But if she needed to do this, to clear her conscience, then I won't deny her a chance to do that.
"Okay, go ahead." I murmured.
"I will never say it enough, Nara. How much I'm sorry for the things I said to you that evening. Please, know that I don't believe anything I said to you. I was angry and hurt for reasons different than what you might've thought."
