Arthur came to Diagon Alley to buy uniforms and wands.
Other items like books, cauldrons, telescopes, and brass scales were already made, so Kreacher could buy them.
Only uniforms and wands required the assistance of a shop owner.
Lucius looked at Arthur and asked, "Arthur, do you need to withdraw some Galleons from Gringotts? Draco and I are going, and if you're not, Narcissa can accompany you to explore Diagon Alley first."
"No problem, I also need to go to Gringotts."
Gringotts was very conspicuous in Diagon Alley; one could spot this most luxuriously decorated building in Diagon Alley at a glance.
A snow-white building stood tall above the surrounding shops, and beside its gleaming bronze doors stood a Goblin dressed in a scarlet uniform trimmed with gold.
Goblins and House-elves are not the same species.
Although they look somewhat similar, Goblins resemble humans more and can even have offspring with them.
Gringotts is controlled by Goblins.
The Goblin at the entrance was not much taller than a House-elf; he had a dark face, a pointed beard, and unusually long hands and feet.
As Arthur and his companions entered, the Goblin bowed to them.
Perhaps knowing that Arthur and the others were wealthy Wizards, the Goblin's originally somewhat fake smile appeared much more sincere.
After entering the first main door, a second door appeared before them.
The door was entirely silver, looking as if it had been cast from pure silver.
The following words were engraved on the door:
"Enter, stranger, but take heed Of what awaits the sin of greed,"
"For those who take, but do not earn, Must pay most dearly in their turn."
"So if you seek beneath our floors A treasure that was never yours,"
"Thief, you have been warned, beware Of finding more than treasure there."
The door bore a warning for anyone who might attempt to rob the bank.
But Arthur knew that for Lord Voldemort, this warning was useless.
Two Goblins, upon seeing Arthur and Lucius, immediately stepped forward and bowed to them, leading them into a tall, marble hall. After checking the vault keys the two presented, they escorted the group to the underground vaults.
Arthur had been here several times, but the path to the underground vaults was truly difficult for him to accept.
The group sat in a small trolley, like something from the last century, speeding along a labyrinthine, winding passage.
Cold air whistled past, and Lucius pulled out his wand, casting a barrier in front of them, which protected them from the biting wind.
A few minutes later, the trolley reached the lowest level of the underground vaults and stopped in front of a large door; this was the House of Malfoy's vault.
Lucius, with Narcissa and Draco, got off the trolley. "Arthur, we'll meet in the main hall upstairs later."
"Alright."
The trolley continued forward until it reached another large door.
This door appeared very ancient, specially made by the House of Black when the Gringotts underground vaults were constructed.
To open this door, not only was the key required, but also a Wizard with the bloodline of the House of Black.
Arthur, accompanied by Kreacher, walked to the front of the door.
Kreacher stood behind Arthur, staring intently at the Goblin who had brought them.
Seeing the unconcealed greed in the Goblin's eyes, Kreacher stood unreservedly in front of the Goblin, blocking his view with his body.
"Greedy Goblin, stay away from Master's vault!"
The Goblin looked at Kreacher's clothes, which were similar in style but clearly of better quality than his own, and said angrily, "Stupid and damned House-elf, you are not worthy of wearing the same clothes as me."
Kreacher raised his head and shook it.
"Hmph, this was specifically rewarded to me by Master, unlike you, who can only wear clothes like mine through some deceptive tricks.
Oh, no, how could the clothes Master rewarded me with be comparable to what a swindler like you wears.
Kreacher is so damned, I must punish myself properly when I get back; I must at least finish hammering three pieces of iron ore today."
The Goblin's face turned ashen as he listened to Kreacher.
Goblins and House-elves had been at odds long before the largest Goblin rebellion in 1612.
Goblins believed House-elves were the most foolish creatures in the world, possessing powerful magic yet willingly serving as slaves to Wizards.
House-elves, on the other hand, considered Goblins the most greedy and deceitful liars in the world, always thinking of ways to make others work while they amassed large sums of money.
Arthur paid no mind to the dispute between Kreacher and the Goblin; the two were inherently at odds.
As long as they didn't come to blows, it was fine.
He inserted the key into the door and gave it a gentle twist.
"Click-clack ~ Click-clack ~"
A circular protrusion slowly appeared on the lower middle part of the door.
After Arthur placed his hand on it, the surrounding gems gradually lit up, eventually forming a complete circle.
As all the gems illuminated, the door slowly opened.
Once the door opened, what greeted their eyes were small mountains, each made of piled Galleons.
According to incomplete statistics, there were at least 2 million Galleons here.
And these Galleons were only placed in the outermost part of the Black vault.
The items stored further inside were either antiques, contracts, or magical artifacts, which were truly priceless.
The House of Black had even specially commissioned a massive bookcase, filled with various contracts.
Those were the most important possessions of the House of Black.
However, for now, Arthur was only here to retrieve some Galleons.
After he started school, he wouldn't have as much time to come to Gringotts.
So now he came to withdraw some Galleons, to be managed by Kreacher.
If the House-elves responsible for the British and European properties, Lucy and Baru, needed Galleons, they could directly go to Kreacher.
Arthur would not trust other Wizards to manage the House of Black's properties in this way.
But House-elves were different; once Arthur became their Master, they would not betray him.
A House-elf like Dobby might appear only once in a hundred years.
Arthur took out a leather case enchanted with an Undetectable Extension Charm and had Kreacher come in and fill it with 200,000 Galleons; these Galleons would be the funds that the House of Black's properties might need later.
He himself took out a small separate wallet and put approximately 1,000 Galleons into it.
This substantial sum of 1,000 Galleons was more than enough to purchase the required school items and cover his living expenses at school, even far exceeding them.
After all, most Wizards might not even use 1,000 Galleons during their seven years at Hogwarts.
After retrieving the Galleons, Arthur closed the vault door.
He then followed the Goblin back to the Gringotts main hall. All the way, the Goblin kept glancing at the leather case Kreacher was carrying.
Inside it were countless Galleons.
After Kreacher went in, he secretly peeked and saw Kreacher directly loading an entire small mountain of Galleons into the leather case.
It made him drool.
If he couldn't beat a Wizard, he would have just robbed them.
Upon reaching the hall, Kreacher swung the leather case, bumping into the Goblin, and cornered him against the wall, then gestured for Arthur to go first.
After Arthur left, Kreacher glared fiercely at the Goblin, then walked out of Gringotts and returned to Black Manor
