This morning has dragged, I've been up since 5am. I've showered and gotten dressed into my uniform and been revising since. It passes the time until breakfast and I want to go over decimals and fractions as I've always struggled with them.
When my door buzzes and unlocks I look up at the intrusion, Mr Tiz appears in my doorway.
'I have things to do this morning Hope so you will need to come out now to eat and take your medication' he informs me. I stand up while glancing at the clock, I'm being allowed out ten minutes early.
Mr Tiz puts down my medication and a bottle of water on the nearest table while I go and get breakfast. Scrambled egg on toast.
I go over to the sauce counter and cover my eggs in ketchup then take my plate over to the table, Mr Tiz is sitting down. Waiting! So I join him on the opposite side. I eat a mouthful then take my meds, under the watchful eye of the head.
As soon as I've finished he starts talking
'Tomorrow is the last day of school, you will have your maths and English exam today then you will be going to your room after exams are finished' his quiet for a moment, observing.
'You will need to pack your things before dinner and put your suitcase in the hallway' I nod my head in understanding then he speaks again
'Unfortunately the application to the judge I did for you to go home for the 6 week holidays has been declined, I'm sorry Hope' he looks at me sadly but I shoot him a small smile. I knew I wasn't going home, I've been bad all term.
'Well you will be spending the holidays in secure again, it will be exactly the same as the last break you spent in there' he now sighs heavily, I stop eating and look up at him. This can't be good!
'I'm not too sure if you're aware but I won't be here for the first term back' I screw my eyebrows up, I thought his transfer had been cancelled.
'I will be going to one of our sister schools'
'You're not swapping with that douchebag that spoke like an ass are you?' I question curiously
'You mean Mr Murphy' he chuckles lightly so I nod in agreement, crossing my fingers it's not him. 'No i will not be swapping with him' a shit eating grin spreads across my face at the news.
Mr Tiz allows me to have my moment before I ask
'Well if it isn't Mr Murphy then who are you swapping with sir?' He chuckles lightly then stands up deflecting my question cryptically
'You will have to find out like everyone else will'
'Agh can't you just tell me now? Is he worse than that Mr Murphy?' Mr Tiz chuckles and says
'His strict but fair, he will run the school like I do but if you pull any more pranks he is aware that you, Max and Morgan are the usual culprits, he will punish you Hope'
'Well what's his name?' I ask hoping to get something out of Mr Tiz but he just chuckles and walks out of the hall.
Students have already started piling in, Bella and Becca included, as soon as Mr Tiz leaves they pick up their breakfast and move to the table I'm at.
'What was that about?' Bella questions me
'That? That was me trying to get information out of a fucking stone' I chuckle
'What were you trying to get from him? Becca asks while stabbing at her sausage
'A name for the head teacher' I say bluntly, both girls look at me in confusion, they both simultaneously shriek 'what?', people start looking over but I tell the girls all I know
'Well Mr Tiz is transferring schools next term, I was trying to find out who the head will be. All the information I got from Mr Tiz was the new head is a man, his strict but fair and he already knows about the pranks I've pulled with the boys'
I finish talking and notice the girls are frozen in mid movement, Bella's mouth hanging open
'Transferring! Will he be coming back?' Becca asks in horror, Bella adds 'what she said'
'Of course he'll be back' I chuckle as I stand up and clear my plate.
I scrape the remaining food off then put my plate on the trolley, I turn back around to see John walking in with April. I'm shocked! What the fuck! I thought she had left.
To my utter dismay John calls for me
'Hope, come here'. I completely blank him, I don't want or need to be near that bitch right before I have to sit exams. I walk back over to Bella and Becca then sit back down.
I was hoping John would let it slide but I'm not that lucky, i never am!
I hear swift footsteps behind me then a hand lands on my shoulder, John's voice is now right beside my ear as he speaks sternly
'You either get up and walk nicely outside or we will be going to see Mr Tiz to have this conversation Hope, the ball is in your court' i shrug his hand off then whip around to face him
'Fuck off!' I spit rudely 'I beg..' he starts to say but I interrupt him 'I said FUCK! OFF!' I scream at him 'you know full well I fucking hate that bitch with a passion! Why the fuck would I go with you! To see that fucking bitch! Right before my exam!' I scream, ranting my thoughts at a mile a minute.
John grabs my arm and pulls me up then drags me out of the hall, while everyone stares.
