"So, you should have a lot of questions, right?"
Evelyn asked.
"And you're gonna clear the confusion, right?"
"Yes, let's head inside first. We'll explain everything to you."
Evelyn, Noah, and Luna headed inside and sat down.
Evelyn started
"So first I'll introduce you to him, he's a classmate of mine, when we came into eye contact with each other, the memories of our past lives were returned to us. I was a grand magician in my past life."
"I was a simple soldier for my planet in my past life, we also had a power system in our world involving a energy called aether, but at the end of our livee we used an our artifact were we wished for something, my wish came true as I was reunited with my parents again and you're sisters wish was probably granted too."
"It will take a lot of time for you to believe us, so we will use an unconventional method and show you a tiny portion of our lives, Genesis transfer the memories."
Luna got hit with a dull pain that was quickly relieved, then she took a deep breath and processed all the information in 5 minutes.
Evelyn narrowed her eyes at Genesis but let it go.
Luna finally got a grasp on the situation and looked at Evelyn and Noah as if she were looking at two monsters.
"Bullshit you sis said, I' m a magician so I calmly I beleived it, like, ok there are probably many magicians in that world so it seemed normal but you got the title of the fucking greatest mage in history in your twenties and your saying you're just a fucking grand magician that's not humble thats looking down on all of magicians in that world."
"See, at least I was truthful."
"And you don't even get started you were a soldier that was sent to the battlefield, alone a single man taking on thousands upon thousands of soldiers and each time you improved, the fucking invaders and your comrades named you the black monster, soldier my ass, the thing that should scare me is that Genesis told me you both freaks are gonna train me, instead it excites me, well I guess I am not very normal either."
"The end was anti-climactic, and what can I say, those soldiers were weak, and I didn't know about the nickname thing, at that time I was focused on getting stronger and improving my techniques."
Evelyn then said
"Well, it's not great to tell everything about yourself instantly, and it would be harder to make you believe in us if I instead started with my title. What I am surprised about is him over there. If what you say is true, then we complement each other pretty well and can teach our personal abilities to each other."
Noah replied
"Of course, I can teach you, I don't mind even if you don't teach me magic after all helping me build that mana core was a favor enough and I know it wasn't a normal one and I'm guessing it was quite better too, as it optimized the path for the circulation of my other energy cores too and now they reinforced my nerves and brain, as well as the rest of my body at the same time, I'm pretty sure as I got stronger the rest of my aspects will also be developed too."
"Wait, what?"
Evelyn, using her spells, looked inside her body just to see that Noah was right, the mana veins were guiding the energy flowing out of the other cores and making veins for them to, and the energy transfer was becoming more efficient in the body as a result, and their cells were also slowly mutating too.
Evelyn, in astonishment, then said
"At the rate that this is going, we will be changing or transforming into a race of our own, a new species or whatever you wanna call it, with the characteristics of adaptation and constant evolution. Oh, and the evolution isn't normal either; it's evolution that constantly happens depending on the person throughout their lives."
Noahs eye's eyes started to shine as he listened to the information, and Luna, who was sitting nearby, listened curiously and with envy.
Luna soon said
"Hey, I want to be a part of a new race that just came into existence, help me become one too, and what are you going to name it?"
"Well, it's still too early for it to become a new race; it should take about 7 years for its completion, and I think it doesn't just end there, but you never know what more surprises this change will bring, and for the name Deltas, maybe?"
Luna chimed in
"How about Evolians?"
Then Noah said
"I think Vanguards would be best, as it stands for the frontline, and to the frontlines on their evolutions will be them, the ones to cause the changes, to brave through at the front, to become their essence based on themselves, to do things themself and face their problems head on."
Luna replied
"Ooooh, that's a nice name, I approve."
"I like it too, and it has a solid reason behind it, that I personally really, really like."
Evelyn replied
"Oh, and about the game, Luna, you should play it too; it will be beneficial and give you loads of combat experience, and it may give you some supernatural powers too, most likely. And try to convince our parents to play it too, we'll tell our parents about our situation after we come back, as we will be transporting our physical bodies there."
"Oh, then won't it be more dangerous for you?"
"Yes, it is, but we'll be fine, we're not weak, and it'll be interesting to see a new world."
"Fine, but stay safe and come back quickly."
Evelyn smiled back at her.
Noah then handed her the headset and said
"There's half an hour till launch, see if you can find the coordinates now, and if you can teleport us there, even just the coordinates are really good progress."
"Let's see if we get the coordinates; teleporting with this artifact will be pretty easy."
Evelyn muttered as she deployed multiple spells onto the helmet and tinkered with it.
After a while, she finally let go of it and said.
"Hmm, it was actually pretty easy to find the coordinates and information, and with the help of this artifact, we should be able to teleport there pretty easily. It was as if its creator was expecting this outcome, and it cooperated pretty well and handed the information over easily."
Noah raised an eyebrow as he said
"This person probably knows that there would be someone who would tinker and try to find that world's location, after find out that this wasn't just a game."
[Host, this artifact was actually created by the same master who created me.]
Noah asked
"Oh, can you tell us about your master?"
[That is something you will know with time.]
"Sigh, the long game, huh?"
Noah muttered.
Evelyn then spoke
"Noah, get ready, it's about time."
Noah tossed a helmet to Luna
"Go fight and gain experience. Training starts tomorrow."
Evelyn then started to construct a magic circle with the helmet in the middle.
A white magic circle bloomed to be big enough for Evelyn and Noah to fit in, then, with a white light, they disappeared.
***
Noah and Evelyn appeared in a jungle.
Noah looked around and saw that it was a jungle, and there was a village where a lot of people were starting to appear.
Noah then spoke
"So those are the players, huh?"
"Yeah, I teleported us to a location a little far off from the original location."
Looking around the jungle again, he saw that the plants were relatively in harmony and were quite lush. Considering it was near the village, it wouldn't be normal if it were so lush and should be trimmed, after people travelled in this direction.
"This forest isn't really normal, is it?"
"No, I used a spell to check the mana signals and saw that there are many creatures that are quite dangerous for normal civilian villagers."
Noah, after seeing he didn't have a weapon asked
"Can you teach me a spell to summon a weapon?"
"First lesson, there are many ways to use mana. You can use imagination and magic circles for some special tasks, imagine the material and the way it looks, functions, and properties, then use the mana and enforce the property on it while controlling it and expelling the mana out."
Noah listened to Evelyn, then reached his hand out and had the image of a straight dagger, and expelled the mana out with the property of metal in his mind, a block of metal appeared, and he started to use the mana to heat the metal and formed it into the shape of a dagger, then cooled it down by using the mana and giving it a cooling property."
The dagger was made, but it was blunt, so Noah used his internal energy and pinched it and slid over the edge and made it sharper, then he used the aether energy and evened it out, and cut off any unnecessary lump that was left.
Then Noah spoke
"It isn't the best for now, but it will do, and I can improve on this skill later."
And then he fiddled with the dagger as he constantly created, adjusted, and destroyed it.
"Are you training that skill?"
Noah replied while smiling.
"I will need to find a suitable weapon for myself or create one, but I can't make one right now as I haven't regained the precise control I need over my body and strength, as well as the increase in energy output that I was able to achieve thanks to you."
"I wanted to ask you this before, but what weapon do you use?"
"All of them."
"Which one are you going to teach me?"
"All of them. Usually, it would take a lot of time and effort, but because of the changes happening in our bodies, it will be a lot easier."
"But isn't focusing on a single weapon the best ?"
"That is for humans. In high-level fights, you encounter geniuses, freaks of nature, and twisted bastards, and I think that versatility is really useful. Another thing is that later, people on the path to mastery and power, if they want to learn the rest of the weapons, they usually don't get the chance to, so learning them at the start is really good, and like they say, the more things you're good at, the better."
"I understand you're reasoning now, and I can't help but say that I agree."
The bushes rustled, and what came out was a 47-foot-long anaconda, with spikes on its sides, each 4-5 feet long, and brown scales with a sharp single horn protruding out of its head. It looked at the couple and produced a rumbling sound and charged at Noah.
Noah, looking at the snake, smiled as he formed a sword in his hands, a double-edged standard blade.
As the snake lunged at Noah, Noah calmly parried the snake with his sword, but he was still pushed back.
Evelyn asked
"Should I help?"
Noahh replied
"No, just watch me."
Noah calmly walked in front of the snake and looked it straight in the eyes. The snake looked at Noah and hissed, and then swung its tail at him. Noah responded by slashing at the tail and breaking the spikes that were on that part of the tail.
Then Noah, looking at it, smiled, a smile that sent shivers down the spine of Evelyn, but it did not scare her; it had a different effect on her.
The snake felt it now; it felt the presence of an apex predator. Its instincts screamed at it to flee, as that's what it tried to do, but Noah attacked its neck with a horizontal slash, before it could, its head separated from its body, the blood flowed out endlessly, and puddled on the ground.
Noah then calmly stated to Evely
"Once you're strong enough or have killed a lot, you have to start concealing your presence, or you would be easily pinpointed and targeted, but it's better to conceal your presence, as it gets really annoying, and gets you into problems. That was merely a fraction of my bloodlust, and it got intimidated to that level. There are many auras, and animals have a natural ability to detect these auras and usually the danger; only those truly powerful or masters in that field can truly hide it from them."
Evelyn now truly realized how vast the world she was involved in was.
Then the bushes and trees around them started to rustle.
