Note: Please read the sypnosis before proceeding onto reading the first chapter, or you will not understand.

Samantha Lignon lived a life of luxury in her first 4 years of living. When she turned 5, she had to go to the Holy Cathedral to receive her blessing. Everyone living in the Lignon Empire were very excited for this event, as they think highly of Samantha that she will be Chosen and be incredibly powerful, like her mother Lignon, who is the ruler of the Lignon Empire. She rode with her closest family members in a fabulous carriage which was prepared and made by the empire's most skilled craftsmen. As the carriage made it's way to the Holy Cathedral, everyone was cheering for Samantha as they had high hopes for her. When she arrived there, all members of the Royal Family were already inside the cathedral, waiting for her to receive the blessings from the Gods. As she kneeled down the altar to receive her blessing, she saw a bright light flash before her eyes, blinding her for a while.

When she came to her senses, she saw two gods in front of her. They were Stanley, the God of Blessings and Kycilla, the God of Fate. They said that she deserves to be chosen and will be given incredible strength and supernatural powers, just like her mother. As they give their blessings to Samantha, a suspicious man disturbed the discussion. He called himself as the Spectre, the God of Deceit and Manipulation. He then said the most shocking and unpredictable words and then suddenly the two gods locked their sight into him. He then told those two gods to make Samantha as a Forsaken. She tried to stop him from doing it, but she was too weak and it was already too late. As woke up to her horror, the priest who appraised her was shocked that she was a Forsaken, everyone who was inside the cathedral looked at her, disgusted, including her mother and her older brother, Blade Lignon, who is the first child of Lignon and the Royal Prince of the Lignon Empire. Her mother ordered the guarding knights outside the cathedral to take her away. As Samantha was she taken away, she screamed out loud,

"Mother! Older Brother! Anyone there! Please help me! No, please! Don't leave me! Somebody, please help!"

No matter what she said, no one cared about what she said. They were looking at her with a mischievous grin on their face, as if they were mocking her. She did not understand why the Gods think that there are some people who deserve who be Chosen and some not. Also she does not like the idea that the Forsaken were never given any human rights nor they were treated as a human. The Forsaken were always being used as slaves and she could not accept why they have to live a horrible life like that just because they didn't received any blessings from the Gods, of course she wouldn't understand it as she was only 5 years old. However, she didn't care anymore as she was already a Forsaken. She lost everything, her status, her background, her rights, her family, and especially, her identity. This will be the start of of Samantha's traumatic nightmare.
