Chapter 3 - Julina the Saint

"So we just stay here. Waiting for adventurers to eat?" I say, after having a relatively boring lecture given by the mimic in front of me.

"Yeah, but all the other mimics have died of starvation, in fact, some of the adventurers who try to raid this dungeon just kill us." Said the mimic in front of me. He seemed way too nonchalant that his fate is seemingly to die of starvation.

"So let's escape! I don't wanna die!" I yelled loudly. Causing the mimic in front of me to step back in surprise.

"NO. We must not leave the dungeon, it is our purpose to be nuisances." Said the mimic, sternly.

"Why you!" I said, before lunging at the mimic. It was hard but I managed to leap a fairly far distance, it would've seemed cool if the mimic actually fought back. I mean seriously, this is too easy.

Then after about 3 minutes, I only saw a dead chest in front of me, I realized that I have killed a member of my own species, technically. I don't know what awakened in me, but I felt, good. Like it was my PURPOSE to kill such a lowly mimic. In fact, I might go for a nice meal.

"You tasted good." I said to myself. I then wondered why after eating a member of my own kind. A fellow mimic, maybe it was the fact that I used to be a human, maybe it was his overall indifferent attitude. But then I heard a voice

"Level 2 accomplished. By killing and eating MIMIC you have gained a new skill CANNIBALISM: allows you to eat an ally or a member of your species to fully heal and gain a permanent max hp and defense increase." Said the same voice the screen made. I was about to check my stats, before realizing I would still just be looking at my stats, but just a little bigger. But even if I just gained a small increase, I felt faster.

"Sweet I can finally get out of this dungeon!" I yelled, forgetting that the only other thing to talk to is in my stomach. I then moved, I moved my corners, used my Amorphous skill to squeeze in some gaps since I can't open the door. And eventually, I finally got out of the dungeon, or whatever.

The fresh air was beautiful, the sky was blue, and some glowing deer frollicked through the field. I didn't expect my "adventure" to begin, if you could call it an adventure. I'm just trying to find more meat, I always liked meat.

"HMM what's this?" A female voice said. I quickly tucked my tongue back into my chest mouth. Hoping that this can be an easy meal. But then I saw the source of the voice. Behind me. Was a girl, barely looked over 18. She had silver hair, pale skin, a... chest of her own, if I could say so myself. She was wearing a black and white outfit, like those you see on Saints or nuns in fantasy romcoms. She had these red eyes, that seemed to burn. I hope she doesn't know I'm a...

"What a cute mimic!" Said the lady. "This is so rare, a mimic not in a dungeon. This is unheard of! This must be a rare subspecies. A mimic that has been blessed with actual brain cell! Such uniqueness" said the woman. In a cheerful voice. She seemed way too happy about this.

"You don't know I can understand you, so I am going to tell you now. I can understand you, it's like, part of my skill or something." I say, wanting to at least feel like I am talking like a human again. But the women seemed even happier

"A talking mimic! So great! Wait. Where are my manners. My name is Julina erencroft, I am the Saint of the great kingdom of Laarsenveld. And you are just the cutest mimic I seen, I'm going to take you back to church!" Said the Saint, now known as Julina. It seems weird, I'm going to go to a church. Literally after I exited a dungeon after committing the sin of cannibalism. Just my luck.

"OK cool. My name is Louki, uhh, if someone in your kingdom can't be purified. Feed them to me?" I say, hoping to turn this awkward moment into something that can benefit me. And as my -15 luck would have it. She agreed

"Of course, our kingdom is plagued with sinners, and you little Louki, are willing to purify our gracious land?" Said Julina. Her eyes sparkling like diamonds.

It took a few moments. Considering if I wanted to live in the forest, or become an object of wworship. I then smirked, and said.

"Count me in, call me, the justifier."
