Watching Nevaeh walk away, Gerardo murmured under his breath, "Diary… I'll help you find it."
He couldn't hide his curiosity. He wanted to know how his mother had really lived all these years and what secrets her diary might hold.
When Noreen woke up, her parents were sitting by her bedside, watching anxiously.
Before she could say a word, Maria burst into tears. "Oh, my poor daughter! You lost the baby, didn't you?"
At that, Noreen frowned slightly, then quickly relaxed.
Her hand drifted down to her stomach, and she smiled faintly. "It's for the best. Now that it's gone, nothing can stop me from marrying Cassius."
Her tone was almost calm, but there was a strange glimmer in her eyes.
She had no intention of being with Cyrille any longer, not in his condition.
She never wanted to have a child either. To her, being tied down to him for life would've been a nightmare.
If it hadn't been for Cyrille's threats, she would've gotten rid of the baby long ago.
