The scene was already terrifying enough. The real troll was nothing like the comical figure from fairy tales.
It stood at least twelve feet tall, its skin dull and gray like granite, its legs as thick as tree trunks, clutching a massive wooden club in its hand, and possessing formidable resistance to magic.
It had cornered Hermione, alone in the girls' bathroom, backing her against the wall. The troll's foul, murky breath blasted across her bloodless face.
Her slender wand, ill-suited for close combat, had already been knocked away. Powerless, Hermione could only sob.
But the moment Harry drew his sword in the distance, this fearsome beast became a laughable caricature.
The troll brimmed with malice, but when Harry's even fiercer malice surged forth, its own was like a candle flickering in the wind.
Harry's unleashed killing intent surpassed all evil. If a lesser demon had faced him, a single glance might have scattered its soul.
The troll turned to flee, but its legs were too weak to move.
From the perspective of Harry, whose battle fury had temporarily clouded his reason, it seemed strange that the troll didn't run. Did it dare to launch a countercharge against him?
But a fire, once ignited, knows no quenching.
Like a sky raining fire at the end of days, the savior at world's end does not weep—only burns with righteous fury.
The divine power coursing through his right arm seized its chance, finally breaking free after three years of suppression.
Once more, it surged through his entire being. Once more, it set his longsword ablaze. Once more, he charged forward. The Lightbringer yearned to battle kings until the world's end.
Beneath his helmet, Harry's eyes blazed with thunderous wrath.

His killing intent subsided, the divine power suppressed once more by the might of the king. The soul of the Lightbringer retreated from Gryffindor's sword, and the bloodstained flames were quenched.
Removing his helmet, Harry, with embers still smoldering in his eyes, bent down and lifted the troll's severed head.
"Oh, you didn't flee even until the end?"
"Pathetically weak, far below my expectations, but your courage is commendable."
"The troll race… not to be underestimated. You're worthy of being a king's goblet."
