General Information:
The Worlds
The Pull
An Apocalyptic event that changed the physics of Earth's solar system.
Rift/Fissure
A tear in Space that links worlds from two dimensions. It varies in sizes – as small as a palmar crease or as large as a planet.
Green‑World
A Planet deemed human‑breathable and/or safe to traverse for either inhabitation or delegation for diplomacy; usually not deviating from normal physics laws.
Red‑World
A Planet deemed hostile, inhabitable probably due to physics incompatible with humans – sometimes, lower ranked Resonants.
Inter-dimensional Worlds
Different galaxies that a rift had once linked to. Serialization: Genesis-1, Genesis-2 etc.
Soul Resonance Ritual
A one-time event where a pre-Resonant is taken into the Soul Void and undergoes a trial to become a Resonant.
People
Resonant
Any positive energy creature (Terran or Otherworlder) with a bounded spirit capable of using Soul Energy to channel Resonance.
Otherworlders
A collective term for non-Terran sentients: Elves (Eldran), Mernians, Beastkin, horned peoples, etc.
Terrans
All pre-Res human born species.
Families (Houses)
Trans-planetary Resonant Factions consisting of the strongest Resonants in the Universe.
Concord
The official governing network and name for inter-planetary governance - the bureaucracy that runs public policy. Its headquarters is based on Earth.
Guardians (Guardian Order)
Official military/defence organization that enforces Concord law, handles rift responses, and protects the public.
Gifted
Individuals showing early signs of bounded spirit-compatibility before their first Soul Resonance.
Pure-Souled
A creature with positive soul energy.
Dark-Souled
A creature with negative soul energy.
Power basics
System
An ancient, mysterious UI that appears as messages and menus in the Protagonist's mind and when he calls for it.
Wristband/Lens system
A civilian/official device that shows SEU, health, detects nearby Momento and documents Soul Void inventory.
Soul Energy
In every soul, there's a soul energy and it is what the mind, will and body uses to function. It absorbs Spirit Energy to use Resonance.
Soul Weapon
A weapon that was once used by the Resonant's bounded spirit.
Spirit Energy
A bounded spirit has Resonance called Spirit Energy that fuses with soul energy for a Resonant's use.
SEU (Soul Energy Units)
A numeric system measuring a being's pool of spirit-energy.
Runes
Symbols carved/drawn that channel Soul Energy or Pure Resonance.
Glyphs
Resonants draw glyphs with hand signs and mental images using Soul Energy to use a Bound spirit's innate arsenal (weapons, armour etc).
Colour (Resonance Hue)
The colour of the Resonance of a Soul Energy is a physical depiction of the universal frequency of a Bounded Spirit's ability type.
Resonant ranks
A power ranking of Pure-Souled measured by the Fusion level of the Bound spirit, its Resonance, and the Resonant's Soul Energy and progressed by how much of a bound spirit's Resonance can be safely held and used:
• Bounded
• Diaphanous
• Fated
• ???
• ???
A power ranking of Dark-Souled measured by the level of negative energy in their soul.
• Fragment
• Warden
• Striker
• Sentinel
• Ascendant
• Paragon
• Archon
• Dominion
The Dark-Souled creatures are also categorized into five affinity types:
• Elemental Entities
• Astral & Cosmic Beings
• Abyssal / Horror-born
• Mechanical / Construct species
• Nature-born / Hybrid Chimeras
Other Common Terms
Resonance Field
An energetic substrate soul energy touches to take shape.
Soul Void
A layered metaphysical space that serves a chamber of consciousness.
Wards
Deliberate rune- or artefact-based protections that alter/resist Resonance Field effects.
Anchors/Frames
Mechanisms (artificial runes/cores/stakes) that pin an effect, so it holds. Frames are the local "rules" an anchor imposes (gravity bias, damp fields).
Momento
Soul objects or drops creatures leave behind after death.
Momento Shards
A crystalline object found in the heart of a felled Dark-Souled. SEU level depends on how dark it is.
Momento Sinew
A Fibrous vein-like matter at the nape of a Dark-Souled used for grafting, rune-weaving, and creating artefacts.
