Chapter 4 - Return to the Uchiha Clan

Three days later, everyone successfully returned to the Southern Division's base.

In the ambush that day, the Uchiha successfully caught the enemy off guard.

Unfortunately, we were unable to defeat Kensuke Nara, which was a big regret.

After returning to the division, Uchiha Hikoichi prepared two reports.

The first was to report the mission to the division commander Uchiha Rei.

Second, he wanted to inform the clan leader about Kyosuke.

There was no way around it. It was extremely rare to awaken the Sharingan at the age of seven.

In the Uchiha clan's inheritance from generation to generation, no one had ever heard of anyone possessing such talent.

As for how the patriarch would decide, that was not something he could worry about.

In a blink of an eye, a week passed.

Kyosuke recovered from his injuries and began to practice systematically.

Ninjutsu, secret techniques, and even kekkei genkai could be exchanged for experience points. Even the abilities he possessed could be improved by spending experience points.

However, this did not mean that Kyosuke did not need to practice.

For example, it took 100 experience points to upgrade kenjutsu to level 2.

Then, through his personal practice, the experience point requirement would gradually decrease, which showed that personal efforts were not useless.

At present, he lacked strength and it was difficult for him to gain experience points quickly. If he wanted to accumulate strength, he had to work hard.

Little did they know that all this was seen by some people.

That day, Kyosuke had just gotten up when he was informed that the division commander wanted to see him.

"We're finally here." He nodded and followed his clan members to Uchiha Rei's tent.

There lived in the camp a young man with incredible talent. If he hadn't taken action, he wouldn't have been worthy of competing with Tajima for the position of clan leader.

Along the way, the clan members greeted little Kyosuke warmly.

He had definitely never received such treatment in the past, which meant that the news of his awakening of the Sharingan had spread.

"Didn't you try to block the news?" Kyosuke's eyes flickered slightly, but he remained calm on the surface.

Soon, he followed his clan members to the tent.

After a simple thank you, Kyosuke did not rush in, but waited patiently outside the tent.

Uchiha Rei was a powerful clan leader. He could detect any movement within a hundred meters, so of course he knew of my arrival.

Waiting was his way of showing respect to the division commander, and it also told everyone that he, Uchiha Kyosuke, was a boy who knew the rules.

Knowing the rules meant that you wouldn't act recklessly in many things, and those in power sometimes attached great importance to this.

After waiting for about ten minutes, he heard a call from inside the tent, "Come in."

I lifted the curtain and walked in. In front of the wide desk, a middle-aged man who looked to be in his 40s was writing something with his head down.

This person was none other than the supreme leader of the Southern Division and one of the most powerful elders of the clan, Uchiha Rei.

"You're here." Slowly closing the letter, Uchiha Rei looked up at the boy, his eyes flashing with strange colors. "I've heard people talking about you a lot these days."

Kyosuke did not answer this question. The best way to get along with those in a higher position was to talk less and listen more.

"You've awakened your Sharingan at the age of seven. Your talent is truly rare in this world. I'm very happy to have such a talented young man among my followers."

"I am willing to serve you, sir." Kyosuke agreed very knowledgeably.

As the saying goes, a county magistrate is not as good as the current manager. He was now working for the Southern Division. The importance of Uchiha Rei was unquestionable.

"Hahaha." Seeing him so sensible, the division commander couldn't help but laugh out loud. After a long pause, he continued, "What a pity, you have to leave for a while."

"With such outstanding talent, you will definitely be carefully nurtured by the clan."

The division commander paused for a moment, his smile becoming playful. "Of course, hiding in the rear didn't guarantee safety."

"Our clan leader is not a broad-minded person." Uchiha Rei seemed to have something in mind.

Throwing the packed envelope over, he waved his hand and said, "The escort team is waiting for you. Remember to deliver the letter to the clan leader."

"Yes, I'll take my leave." Kyosuke bowed tactfully and then left the commander's tent.

After he left, someone soon found him and said that the clan leader had ordered him to return to the clan territory immediately.

Looking at the package in the other person's hand, Kyosuke nodded and immediately followed the team out of the Southern Division.

On the way, he kept thinking about the conversation in the tent.

"From what they said, the conflict between the division commander and Tajima was quite serious."

"Perhaps those words were also tentative."

If Kyosuke sided with Uchiha Tajima, then he would definitely hear words about the clan leader being narrow-minded.

On the contrary, Uchiha Rei would truly trust him. If anything happened in the future, the Southern Division would be Kyosuke's retreat.

"A bunch of old foxes."

...

After about a week, Kyosuke and his group finally entered the Uchiha territory.

There were a large number of civilians living on the outskirts of the territory, and only by going deeper into the interior could you reach the real Uchiha clan territory.

If a clan wants to grow and become stronger, it must have a large number of civilians.

Basic labor, including cultivating fertile land and raising livestock, all required a large number of civilians.

We couldn't expect all the Uchiha clan members to take hoes and dig the ground.

Another very important point was to reproduce offspring.

In order to ensure the purity of their Sharingan, large clans often chose to marry within the clan, but not everyone did so.

Otherwise, we would have become close relatives over thousands of years.

In addition to direct clan members, collateral clan members generally chose to marry outside the clan to try to ensure the circulation of blood within the clan.

Kyosuke thought there was nothing wrong with this move. Indra's Sharingan was so strong that it could not be diluted by simply marrying with other races.

Instead of worrying about their Sharingan, it was better to have more children. Expanding the population was the real way forward.

"The clan leader is very concerned about you." The leader looked at Kyosuke, who was lost in thought, and said with a smile, "Everyone must be very happy to see you return safely."

This person was a loyal follower of Uchiha Tajima. He kept brainwashing him along the way and tried to instill various ideas into him.

In short, if you wanted to develop, you had to be loyal to the clan leader. Otherwise, no matter how talented you were, you would just be an ordinary member of the clan.

Unfortunately, he still needed to practice his persuasion, at least it was still far from enough to confuse Kyosuke.

"If Naruto were here, I might really surrender."

From what he saw and heard during his time travel, combined with his slight impression of Uchiha Tajima in his previous life, the clan leader gave him the impression of a stubborn and foolish person.

Before the two parties even met, their initial impression score had already fallen below the passing line.

Uchiha Rei was willing to let Kyosuke leave easily because he had long seen through Tajima's character and concluded that the kid could not stay in the clan forever.

Sooner or later, Kyosuke would return to the Southern Division.

"No one else has such a bad reputation." With all sorts of chaotic thoughts running through his mind, he soon arrived at the clan leader's residence.

I saw Uchiha Tajima in person, and a boy with spiky hair...

Uchiha Madara!
